Our Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 1966 AMC rambler 220. This inline 6 and automatic transmission is a total time capsule. The blue interior and paint will teleport you back to the 60’s. As the automobile marketplace in the U.S. was moving away from economy towards performance and luxury vehicles, American Motors began removing the historic Rambler name from its larger models. However, the American and Classic models retained their economy car marketing image, as well as their traditional nameplate. To cement this image, a Rambler American was again the overall winner in the Mobil Economy Run. The American models were facelifted for the 1966 model year with more squared-off front and rear styling. The front of the car was extended three inches, that increase allowed the optional air conditioning to be installed with the new 199, and 232 in-line six-cylinder engines, which were longer than the previous 195.6 versions. Options include: radial tires, seat belts, hub caps, AM/FM radio, and cloth interior. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833!

1969 AMC AMX

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 21,376 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this incredible 1969 American Motors Corp. (AMC) AMX equipped with the well sought after but optional high-compression medium block 390 CID AMC V8 engine and the Borg Warner T-10 Manual Transmission routed through a Dana 60 Rear end with a 4.88:1 Gear ratio, the 3 matched together was an unbeatable force back in 1969. Labeled the “Corvette Competition,” the AMX offered top-notch performance at an affordable price. The year is 1969, Led Zeppelin has released their first album, The Soviet Union launched Soyuz 4, in the USA the lunar module Eagle/Apollo 11 lands on the lunar surface. An estimated 500 million people worldwide watch in awe as Neil Armstrong takes his historic first steps on the Moon and American Motors Corp. released the anticipated AMX. The AMX offered top-notch performance at an affordable price. Despite this value and enthusiastic initial reception by automotive media and enthusiasts, sales never thrived. The automaker's larger objectives to refocus AMC's image on performance and to bring younger customers into its dealer showrooms was achieved. After three model years, the two-seat version was discontinued. This particular AMX is a beautiful example of one of AMC’s Narliest Cars ever built and it is beautifully painted up in Big Bad Orange. So much care has been taken in the restoration of this Bad Boy even the underside of this car is carefully detailed and painted to show the beauty of this car from bottom to top. The underside is so clean and detailed you really could eat off of it! Some of the options included on this Rear Tire Burning AMX include AM/FM radio, Leather interior, Posi traction, a spare tire and lots more. 1970 AMC AMX

1970 AMC AMX

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 55,848 ( undocumented )

American Motors stepped into the 2-seater world from 1968 to 1970. The AMC AMX would start a small cult following that is still active today. In 1970, just over 4000 of these rare muscle cars were built. Even fewer of these AMX’s came with the 390 V8. A custom exhaust has been added to take full advantage of the 390’s power. With 325 horsepower on tap and mated to a T-10 Warner 4-speed manual transmission, this car could get sideways in a hurry. We like to call that the fun factor. With all this go, the AMX needs a little bit of whoa as well. This AMX is equipped with power brakes, the fronts are disc brakes, so stopping is much easier in this rig. This AMX has been treated to a custom paint job known as the Shadow Mask Edition. The blacked-out hood really makes the gold paint pop! The power blister hood with scoops and the blacked-out treatment gives this AMX sinister look and lets everybody know this is a force to be reckoned with. A custom aluminum grill finishes off the exterior. Inside, new seat cover, gauge package and radio package have been added to give this AMX a nice clean crisp look. Options for this 1970 AMC AMX include; A/C, AM/FM Radio, CD player, Cassette Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Custom Wheels with Bias Ply tires. 1973 AMC Javelin

1973 AMC Javelin

Engine: LS3 6.2L
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 4,000 ( since rebuilt )

This 1973 AMC Javelin is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This 1973 Javelin is unlike any other one on the road. With its apocalyptic theme and Trans Am racer styling this has to be one of the coolest you have seen. The front of the Javelin was treated to a handmade front spoiler which is where the theme starts. Followed onto the front grill with the original parking lights mounted on both sides while the modern LED lights were fitted into the original headlight bezels. The orange satin color is courtesy of a 3M wrap which is a lot more durable than any paint job. The grey stripes over the hood compliment the metal work with AMC and LSX imprinted in them. The rear of the car has been treated to a wide body kit allowing for the monster 335 tires to be placed under the fenders. The rear has been blacked out with the spoiler giving the rear end that trans am racer look. Pop the hood and all you see is custom metal work. From the engine cover to the firewall they nailed the apocalyptic theme. The LS3 engine that lies underneath that metalwork has been outfitted with a cam while a custom tune gets the most out of this small block. Mated up to a T56 6 speed with an ACT twin disc clutch making it extremely durable while having a great pedal feel. The custom 9” rear end has been stuffed Nitro gear and Axle shafts giving you confidence when you want to drop the clutch and lay down some fresh black stripes. Bringing everything to screeching holt is a Wilwood big brake kit with a set of 6 piston calipers upfront and a 4 piston in the rear this is one Javelin that will stop on a dime. The suspension on the car with adjustability in mind and thanks to QA1 coil over front and rear the possibilities are endless. Inside the theme is continued with the rear of the car blocked off by the same metal work while the kicker speakers are loud enough to overcome the exhaust note from that nasty LS3. The gauges go perfectly with the interior complimenting the build nicely. The roll cage not only looks great but adds that extra layer of protection with the harnesses keeping you in the seat in case the unfortunate happens. If you have wanted a car that looks like no other with true modern-day comforts and jaw dropping performance this 73 Javelin is the perfect match. Options on this one off 1973 AMC Javelin include, AC, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Vinyl/Cloth Interior, Racing Harness, and Radial Tires mounted on Fuel Alloy Wheels. Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 74,319 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando Florida is proud to offer this 1969 AMC AMX for sale in our Orlando showroom. The AMX is a two-seat GT-style sports car that was produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 to 1970. The AMX was also classified as a muscle car but differed from other American cars at the time because of its short wheelbase. The name AMX is actually an acronym for American Motors eXperimental, which was a code assigned to concept vehicles in the mid-sixties. The AMX was also the only American-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird, and rivaled the only other two-seat American muscle car: the Chevrolet Corvette. With a short three-year production run, the AMX was discontinued in 1970, and was replaced by the Javelin from ’71-’74. This classic AMX makes quite the statement with the Green Paint covering the cool and vintage bodylines and the original Brown interior. Under the hood of this car is the period correct 343 V8 that has been meticulously maintained and produces a loud rumble that will turn some heads every time the pedal hits the floor. The transmission is 4 Speed Hurst manual with a POSI rear end that really helps this car get up and go! This AMX is truly one of kind. 1964 AMC Rambler

Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 90,122 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is pleased to welcome this awesome 1964 AMC Rambler. The Rambler is an automobile manufactured by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1958 and 1969. It was the second incarnation of AMC's forerunner. The second-generation Rambler compact was sold under the Nash and Hudson Motors marques from 1954 and 1955. Many viewed the second-generation design as the best looking and were arguably the most attractive compacts of all time in Detroit in the early 1960s. Originally sporting a white paint job, this beautiful Rambler has gone through light restoration work in the last decade as well as routine maintenance. It now sports a fresh coat of bright red paint that really pops with the black leather interior and top. The inline 6 powerplant has had a complete engine rebuild and is paired to the original 3 speed manual transmission. That too was given attention as well with components such as the pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing being replaced and having the flywheel resurfaced. All necessary bushings and seals were replaced as well. Additional features included with this AMC include an automatic convertible top, AM Radio, Hub Caps and white wall tires that really make a statement either driving down the road or presenting itself stationary in your garage. This Rambler will have you smiling from ear to ear every-time its taken out for a cruise. Its ready to go and the only thing left that this AMC needs is a new owner. A folder full of receipts and paperwork is available to show upon request. Contents are too much to list.
