The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. If you want to get into the car scene here is a great way jump in with both feet. A 350 motor and automatic transmission means you will enjoy the driving experience with one great looking classic body. The brakes have been upgraded to disk in the front for sure stopping power. A high flat-topped hood dominated the front look of the 1940 model, as the grille spread out to reach the fenders to differentiate the Deluxe line and the headlights were pushed wider still. The standard Ford inherited the grille of the 1939 model with blackout on each side of a heavy chrome center; heavier headlight surrounds serve as another major differentiator from the 1939. 1940 was the last year of the 1937 design and its smaller V8 engine, with a straight-six engine to be reintroduced the following year. Sealed-beam headlights were one of the few major advances for 1940. Options include: AC, power brakes, power steering, front seat belts, tilt wheel, aluminum wheels, and radial tires. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833!

1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car

Engine: Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 21,896 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1940 Ford Coupe

1940 Ford Coupe

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 14,476 ( undocumented )

Now available in our Dallas- Ft Worth-Showroom is this custom 1940 Ford Coupe. This coupe has an all steel body and is ready to steal the show for whomever is the new owner! Now to some, it’s taboo to place a Chevy engine in a Ford-body, however, the builder of this custom-rod didn’t think that way. They were worried about one thing and one thing only… POWER! Which this vehicle has plenty of, in the way of a 454 Chevy motor (the valve covers say 502, but it’s a 454). Worried about it being too powerful, going too fast? I didn’t think so, but just in case you were, have no worries as this vehicle is equipped with front disc-brakes and a rear-drum braking system too. When this vehicle does finally slow down and come to a halt, you can then take notice of the fabulous 20’s in the back 19’s in the front Skop chrome wheels. Which are covered by 31x13 rear and 26x6 front Mickey Thompson tires, one of the most famous names amongst hot-rodder’s tongues. Finally, you’ll never be to hot, in this hot-rod, as it comes with an already installed vintage air system, keeping you nice and cool as you breeze down the road. Other options include: Power windows, Tilt wheel, Sony, Am/Fm-Radio with CD-player, Automatic transmission with a BTM pro-stick-shifter, and a remote to open both the doors and the trunk! To view this in 1940 Ford coupe in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Sealed-beam headlights were one of the few major advances for 1940, while a hydraulic top was new on the convertible. Mileage: 26,478 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Philadelphia showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie. A mid-year model crossover, the '59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows you'll often find patrons arguing whether it's a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. Continuing the Fairlane's roll as Ford's full-sized sedan, they had various options in various trims. This particular Fairlane being a four-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular '59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 332 V8 engine. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic “Cruise-O-Matic” transmission. Built for easy cruising, this 1959 Ford for sale is eager to take a trip down to local show or drive in movie! The exterior is a factory, Geranium, it has had at least one repaint, but is believe to be the original color form the factory. The interior is bath in a beautiful Oxford white and really sets off the exterior color. With fins and chrome like the epitome of any late 50s cruiser, this Fairlane for sale has looks for days! The interior is no different, with silver and gray vinyl interior. With benches both front and back, this car has plenty of room for you and a group of your friends and family. It's a real "drive-in special."
