1982 Jeep CJ7

1982 Jeep CJ7

Engine: 4.2L I6 2BL OHV
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 106,500 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this nicely restored 1982 Jeep CJ7. The Jeep’s have been around for a very long time dating back to 1945 for civilians and going back to WWII known better as the Willy’s of that era. These off-road vehicles are known for going through the tough stuff to include mud, rugged trails, and rock climbing. These utilitarian vehicles are also great for beach cruises, or daily drivers as well. This Jeep runs through the powerband with a 4.2L I6 and is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. With only 2 calculated owners per the CarFax, this Jeep has been very well taken care of through its life. The power is driven through the rear end which features 4.10 gearing. The monster sits on top of some 33” tires that have plenty of tread life left in them. The truck has a very nice black and blue paint which is found on ’09 BMW’s. Seeing this out in the sunlight really sets it apart from the other Jeeps on the road. The paint work was done by “Wolfe Paint” out of Texas City, Tx. The Jeep was sanded down to bare metal then went through a zinc, epoxy, paint coating sequence to make it shine. The aluminum diamond plated doors are light weight and will get your head turning as the Jeep cruises down the road. The interior has custom flooring commonly used on boats and is a granulated rubber known as “SafeFloor”. This allows easy cleaning when you get back from a nice off-road adventure with your friends or family. This truck also features AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, and custom wheels. 1980 Jeep CJ5

1980 Jeep CJ5

Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 11,027 ( actual )

This 1980 Jeep CJ-5 has been completely restored and is ready to take the path less traveled in style! With only two owners since the Jeep was purchased new and the current owner purchasing it 15 years ago, this Jeep has been well taken care of and loved since it was new. Standard equipment in the 1980 CJ-5 was an inline 4-cylinder, but customers were able to opt for the larger and more powerful 258 cubic inline-6 which is equipped in this one. The drive train in this CJ-5 was completely gone through within the last 2,000 miles and runs and drives great and is still original equipment from 1980. As you walk up to this Jeep, the overall condition will really jump out at you. The body is straight and has not been beaten up off roading like many other Jeeps have been in the same era. Laid on top of the body is a beautiful orange paint that, contrasted with the custom chrome wheels, gives it a bit of a Hot Wheels toy feel! Freshly redone interior and Bestop seat cover keep the seat protected and looking great. As you jump inside and fire it up, the engine comes to life quickly and purrs smoothly. As you start to drive around in, you will get the feeling that you are driving more of a UTV or a toy of some sort instead of an actual car! The short wheel base makes it very nimble and can get to places that most other vehicles simply are unable to go. This classic CJ-5 is a turnkey and needs nothing to start having some fun and making memories. Whether your plan is to take it out on some off-road trails with your buddies or just around the field with your children, this Jeep will not disappoint! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1980 Jeep CJ-5 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1985 Jeep CJ7 350 CID V8

1985 Jeep CJ7 350 CID V8

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 137,820 ( actual )

Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this exciting 1985 Jeep CJ7! Is it time for your Jeep adventure? It's hard to argue that this 1985 Jeep CJ7 with a small block Chevy V8 conversion, a thundering stereo, upgraded interior, and a heavy-duty suspension can deliver a great experience. It retains all that's awesome about Jeep's all-time favorite 4x4 and adds more of everything you want: power, style, and comfort. The CJ7 has been the off-roading weapon of choice for decades. This one has upgrades in all the right places to get you anywhere you want to go. The upgrades start with 350 cu in Chevy conversion. This conversion was enhanced with a Comp Cam XR 258HR cam for a wide torque range, Edelbrock intake and carb, JEGS SSR Billet Distributor, all culminating in to Hedman headers and a Flowmaster dual exhaust. All this power is cooled by an aluminum radiator which is ideal for crawling along at low speeds. Stopping power comes from an upgraded dual master cylinder with power assist. The drivetrain upgrade starts with a Chevy TH350 transmission driving the rock solid Jeep transfer case. From here it just keeps getting better, CV type rear drive shaft, single piece axles with welded tubes, 4.10 Yukon gears, Detroit Lockers and new Warn front locking hubs. To deliver the horses to the trail, polished aluminum wheels with BFGoodrich Radial All-Terrain T/A tires do the work. The suspension has been renewed and upgraded with Bilstein shocks all around. A steering stabilizer and dampener have been added to help track smoothly down the road. The tub was been refinished with bright silver paint to give it a new look, complete with "Honey Badger" graphics on the flanks and bright blue accents on the hood and sides. Finish quality is not car show level, but is good with no rust in the usual spots - just right for a vehicle destined to spend its life playing in the mud. It is not a trailer queen, so don't worry about getting dirt on it or even plunging into the brush, it looks great in any environment. It can be configured in to the full open-air experience Jeepers love or you can quickly add tube door bars for enhanced safety. It can also be configured with its Bestop soft top or in to a “Little Pick-up” configuration with tonneau top, windjammer and bikini top. Fender flares have been added to cover the oversized rubber, and it has been raised a few inches, but heavy-duty Rhino step bars and grab handles make it easy to climb aboard. The “armoring up” continues with rock sliders, and Rugged Ridge XHD recovery bumpers front and rear. To help you get out of those tough spots, a Rugged Ridge Extreme Duty 8,500 lbs synthetic line winch has been installed and ready to go to work. The interior features two-tone high-back sport seats that really help hold you in place during rough going. They're more comfortable than the usual Jeep seats and look sharp in the open cockpit of the CJ7. The instrument panel has been reworked to use Auto Meter Phantom instruments to monitor the engine's vitals, along with simple indicator lights and switches for the auxiliary controls. A wood-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel seems appropriate in this case, and a floor mounted B&M shifter controls the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. For those stops with friends on the trail, there's AM/FM/CD stereo with an amplifier and subwoofer enclosure in the cargo area. This entertainment system provides the atmosphere for those trail stops where the tall tales are shared. This Jeep is improved in all the areas where it really matters. It is ready to spend the weekend on the trail, play in the sun at the beach and get you to work on Monday. 1984 Jeep CJ7

1984 Jeep CJ7

Engine: 4.2L I6 2BL
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,028 ( undocumented )

From the beginning, the CJ line of Jeeps were built for the sole purposes of utility and capability. They are go anywhere vehicles and this 1984 Jeep CJ7 has taken that idea and ran with it! Every part of this Jeep has either been maintained or improved on to make it stand up to whatever you can throw at it. Jeep’s simplicity, versatility, and performance led to a following bordering on fanaticism, and has produced many great Restomods such as the one before you here. The parts list reads more like a dream build, and will satisfy even the most intense Jeep enthusiast. The entire body of this CJ has been Line-x coated to make it very durable to take on any offroad adventure but still has a great gloss to it to look sharp on the road. Keeping with the durable but functional theme of this Jeep are the GenRight rock sliders along with tubular doors that are removable. Up front you’ll find a pair of Lightforce driving lights in combination with a pair of Piaa fog lights and an LED light bar that are all perched on top of a custom offroad bumper that looks like it could go through a brick wall if needed. The Dana 30 front and Dana 20 rear axles are more than up to the task of spinning the 35x12.5 Toyo Open Country mud tires that are wrapped around a set of heavy duty 17 inch Hutchinson bead lock wheels. Hiding inside the axle housings both front and rear are air locking differentials. The 5-speed manual transmission is mounted to the tried and true 360 CID V8. This motor features throttle body injection, an aluminum Be Cool radiator with electric fan, shorty headers flowing into new dual exhaust, and HEI ignition. This stout V8 wedged in the lightweight body of a classic Jeep gives a serious advantage in the power-to-weight category, and is more than enough to motivate this SUV down the road, or up a mountain. Keeping you in control no matter what the terrain is a set of Corbeau racing seats outfitted with 5-point harnesses. Just as many high-performance parts are hiding underneath the armor coated body of this jeep as the rest of it. Bilstein high travel shocks with extra reservoirs outfit all four corners. As well as all of the necessary hardware for the onboard powertank air system. And if somehow, you manage to roll this beauty over while abusing your favorite trail, the front roll bar with frame tie-ins at all six points is there to make sure you live to tell the tale. This CJ-7 has been a serious labor of love for someone, and is ready to be your next adventure buddy.
