1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Engine: 427 435HP L71
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 45,896 ( undocumented )

1969… That was the year for the L-71 Corvette and we have a stunning blue on blue Corvette here for sale. It features an L-71 427ci 435hp tri power car. It is in amazing condition and features a 4 speed manual transmission. Take a closer look at this beauty! In 1969, Tire size remained the same, although this was the first year for optional white lettered tires and the last for red striped tires. Carried over from the previous year were seven available rear axle ratios ranging from 2.73 to 4.56. Standard ratio remained 3.08 with automatic and 3.36 with manual transmission. The optional Positraction rear axle, mandated on many engine/gearbox combinations, was installed on more than 95% of the cars. "Stingray" script nameplates appeared on front fenders, now one word, in contrast to the “Sting Ray” name used previously. Exterior door handles were redesigned so the finger plate would actuate the door, eliminating the separate release button. Backup lights were integrated into the inboard taillights, headlight washers were added, and front grilles were made all black. Side mounted exhausts and front fender vent trim were options for this year only. On the inside, revised door panels provided additional shoulder room in the C3's tighter cabin and headrests became standard. Steering wheel diameter was reduced from 16 to 15 inches to permit easier entry and exit, the ignition switch was moved from the dash to the steering column, and map pockets were added to the dash area in front of the passenger seat. Accounting for 57% of the cars, coupes with their removable roof panels, began a trend of outselling roadsters. An extended production cycle due to a labor dispute increased '69 volume. This was the last year for the L88 engine and the only year for the ZL1 option, which offered an all-aluminum 427 cu in (7.0 L) big-block engine listed at 430 hp (321 kW). Rare options: ZL1 aluminum block (2), J56 heavy-duty brakes (115), L88 engine (116), L89 aluminum heads (390). This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this beautiful 1969 Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4- Speed Manual
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this sweet 1968 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Between the big block power and the iconic C3 lines, this car is sure to get attention wherever it goes! Under the hood of this beauty is the big, bad 427 Tri-power V8. This engine was known for its massive power and low-end torque. Sending the power to the rear wheels is a four-speed Muncie manual transmission that shifts correctly through the gears. This powertrain combo runs very well and provides plenty of power for a spirited drive. Upon entering this classic Vette, the driver will be greeted by a tobacco brown colored vinyl interior that is in relatively good condition. In the summer time, the driver will appreciate the removable T-tops that allow for plenty of fresh air and sunshine. If it's too hot for that, the driver will appreciate the equipped A/C. Overall, the interior of this sweet ride is in pretty good condition with only a few imperfections. The exterior of this sweet ride is finished in classic corvette bronze paint that shows well and has a lot of metallic flake in it. In the sun, this car looks stunning. Supporting each corner of the car are classic rally wheels wrapped in wide bias ply tires with good life left in them. Overall, this car is solid and needs very few things to be a good driver! 1967 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 327/350 Horsepower V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 3,922 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a beautifully restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This Sunfire Yellow roadster is powered by the numbers matching 327 350 HP engine and matched with a smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission and back to a 3.55 rear gear with Posi Traction. The sound emitting from the side exhaust is intoxicating. The hardest part about driving this car is when you stop driving! It drives so well, sounds so good and looks amazing! The frame off restoration was completed in 2006 but has covered a very modest 3,922 miles since completion. Thanks to a very proud owner, the car has been very well cared for over the years and still looks very fresh. Complimenting the Sunfire Yellow paint is a Black soft top, Black vinyl interior and a set of American Racing Wheels wrapped in radial rubber. Power four wheel disc brakes offer confident braking and Power steering makes maneuvering an ease. The 350 horse 327 may be the best all round engine for '67. Great power with no solid lifters to adjust, no hot temperatures from a Big Block and a little less thirsty for fuel. The 3.55 gear ratio may also be the best all round gear ratio. You have good acceleration from a standstill and decent highway cruising. The Sunfire Yellow may not be the most common color, but sure is a breath of fresh air from all the red ones out there. And this is the original color for this Corvette. We can't tell you enough about how well this one drives. My co-workers literally had to drag me out of it! I would've been tickled pink to drive this beautiful Corvette all day long. For more information on this 1967 Corvette, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom for an up close viewing. 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500

1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: TH350 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 68,012 ( undocumented )

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1978 was the 25th anniversary of the Corvette and GM wanted to capitalize on this prestigious event with a special edition Corvette. After speaking with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, GM was able to obtain the rights to be the pace car for the race. The decision was made to have the car painted black and silver a classic color combination. They had 2 versions with base model having the L48 which consisted of close 75% of the cars. This beauty is one of the more coveted L82 models which was switched out for something that is a little more powerful. The new engine is still a small block, but the displacement has been increased to a total of 454 CI. The balanced and blueprint engine is putting out over twice as much as the original L82 giving this pace car the power it deserves. A blueprint cast iron block was used which allows for a much longer stroke with the forged connecting rods being 6.00. The 950CFM carb feeds just the right amount of fuel and with the engine having a 10:1 compression pump gas works just fine. The TH350 transmission was rebuilt and seems to handle the power extremely well transferring the power to the rear wheels with ease. The custom exhaust really lets everyone know that this is not your normal small block. The interior is clean and original to the car with the weather stripping replaced as well as the T Tops. The exterior of the car looks great with the remaining stickers still in their original box. To top everything off the car is even sold with the original window sticker showing the original 14410.21 sticker price equivalent to almost 54500 dollars in today’s money. If you have been wanting one of these Iconic Pace Cars but the performance wasn’t quite there for you this beauty has that problem squared away. Options on this 1978 Chevrolet Pace Car include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Seat Belts, T-Tops, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Aluminum Wheels, and Leather Interior. Mileage: 2,600 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this legendary American ride, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS to our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! This 1969 Camaro is a true ss that has been transformed into a custom restomod built by THORNTON out of Telford Pennsylvania. This stunning ’69 stands out from other Camaros with its modern fuel injected engine, updated suspension, and smooth shifting new 4 speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet engineers made this production Performance LS3 6.2L Crate Engine to deliver a stunning 495 horsepower and 473 lb.-ft. of torque. This car is the dream mix of bad to the bone appearance with modern fuel injection modern technology. A major benefit of EFI systems is the greatly improved cold and hot starting performance. This follows from the ability of the system to calculate the optimum air/fuel mixture for starting as well as from the superior atomization that results from injection of the fuel as compared to fuel delivery from a carburetor. If you take a peak under the car you will notice that this car could be literally eaten off of. The HEDTS suspension for the front and rear are all new and set up to be a comfortable driver with coil over shocks. This Camaro SS is set up with a Ford 9” rear end and has amazing stopping power with its adjustable master cylinder and Corvette style disc brakes. This car rumbles with its duel exhaust in idle and has a pure performance feel when accelerating. The style of this car comes from the exterior with its beautiful dark red paint, white hockey stick stripes, and white SS badges. The aggressive stance comes from its deep dish offset 18” in the front and 20” in the rear custom wheel setup.
