The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1966 Ford Mustang. This 289 V-8 pony has an automatic transmission and some recent update mechanicals. This little horse has front disc brakes, EPAS steering, new A arms, front springs, and shocks. The appearance of the Mustang is undoubtedly its most distinctive feature. As it is the same overall length as the Falcon, most of the distinction results from sliding the passenger compartment about nine inches toward the rear which gives it a proportionately longer hood and short rear deck. This also results in the driver being relocated about 9 in farther from the front of the car and reducing the luggage space from Detroit cavernous to what might be called adequate for weekend trips. The overall design of the Mustang has created little controversy, almost everyone agreeing that the appearance is attractive. Options include: AM/FM radio, CD player, power steering, power brakes, vinyl interior, wire wheels, and radial tires. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833.

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a stunning 1966 Ford Mustang GT in our Saint Louis Showroom. This sharp GT coupe has been extremely well preserved and is in shocking condition. A Los Angeles 71 DSO car, it then made its way to Colorado, before coming to the St. Louis area in 2003. The vehicle is believed to have its original sheet metal all around as well as original interior. Optioned with Wimbledon white exterior, with red Pony interior, this GT is very well dressed. It wears a sharp new set of GT style wheels wrapped in healthy radial tires. Inside, the red pony upholstery is in surprisingly great shape. The carpet has been replaced, so it looks nice and fresh. Pop the hood and you’ll find a rebuilt 289 with a slightly larger cam than stock. It has power steering and manual disc brakes. Originally a C4 automatic, the transmission has been swapped out for a Tremec T-5 5 speed manual transmission. This transforms the car into a comfortable highway cruiser that will sip fuel when loafing down the highway. The 289 make a nice exhaust note coming through nickel plated headers and dual exhaust. And of course, nothing beats the looks of GT exhaust trumpets. Whether you’re an avid Mustang collector, or just looking for your first classic, a 66 Mustang is always a great choice. You can see this ’66 Mustang GT in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 42,171 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this classic 1966 Ford Mustang. Slathered in a rich cloak of metallic burgundy, and touting a new black vinyl top, this is one very elegant Pony. Get behind the wheel of this Mustang and you'll fall in love immediately. The car came off the assembly line with the highly sought out A code. Powering this peppy stallion is a freshly rebuilt 289 CID V8, that's topped by a 4BBL carburetor and a set of finned aluminum valve covers. Transferring the stout 289's power to the 9-inch rear end is a rebuilt C4 Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. Toss in cold A/C and power steering, and this Mustang is ready for whatever trip you want to take it on, and when you reach your destination, you'll have arrived in comfort and style. Inside, its black Pony interior is gorgeous to look at, and a pleasure to ride in. The sporty buckets up front straddle the shifter and console nicely, while the bench out back begs you to have some friends tag along. What really sets this Mustang apart is the level of detail in the complete nut-and-bolt restoration, completed by Wagner's Classic Cars. With a stack of over 2 inches' worth of receipts for NOS 1066 Mustang parts, and a photo book of the restored project's outcome, you'll know you've found a 1966 Mustang that appears virtually new; and frankly, it's better than it was when it was new. Solid floorpans, new fuel tank, all new suspension (including bushings and all fittings), new front end components, new rear leaf springs, it's virtually all been replaced underneath (and everywhere else, it appears). All of the sheet metal was stripped bare, prepped, and finished, and the attention to detail in the entire project is very evident. Upgrades to the original equipment include a full aluminized dual exhaust system that helps give it a great exhaust note while not being too loud, plus a 4-wheel disc brake package from SSBC. This car stops and goes better than any 1966 Mustang ever did when it was new! Additional options on this 1966 Ford Mustang for sale include Air Conditioning, AM radio, Power 4-wheel disc Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Synthetic Leather Pony Interior. 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 16,500 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this ultra rare and desirable 1966 Shelby GT350 Fastback Mustang. Documentation and known history are two important attributes for collector cars. This 1966 Shelby GT350, SFM6S2185, possesses plenty of both. As noted in the Shelby American Automobile Club’s “Shelby Registry 1965-67,” the GT350 was shipped from the Shelby American assembly facility in Los Angeles to Ford Motor Company in June 1966, then delivered to Courtesy Motors in Littleton, Colorado. In the 1970s, the Shelby was owned by a southern California detective who sometimes used this beauty as an undercover vehicle. Since 1979, it has been in the hands of collectors to ensure it was cared for through the years. During the 1980s, it participated in west coast shows, including SAAC-6 and the Palo Alto Concours D’Elegance. From 1987 to 2013, the GT350 was owned by a private collector; a 1988 restoration resulted in numerous Best of Show awards, perfect scores from both SAAC and the Mustang Club of America, and features in several magazines. “Super Ford” magazine named it “the best Shelby of the year” for 1989. The Guardsman Blue GT350 retains much of its original equipment, including the factory-installed 4-speed transmission and matching-numbers 289 Hi-Po V-8 that was modified to Shelby specs for 306 horsepower. Like all 1966 GT350s, the car was delivered to Shelby American as a K-code Mustang fastback, then upgraded with a Cobra aluminum intake with Holley carb, Tri-Y headers, Koni shock absorbers, rear traction bars, 15-inch wheels, dash-mounted tachometer, competition seatbelts and wood steering wheel. Externally, the Shelby models differed from regular Mustangs with a fiberglass hood with scoop, plexiglas rear quarter windows and side scoops. Only 2,378 were built. In 2014, this car underwent a fresh restoration by Orlando Mustang, which resulted in Best in Class awards at the 2104 Keels and Wheels Concours D’Elegance and the 2015 Valero Show. It was featured in the July 2015 “Mustang Times” and displayed at the Bush Library from August to October 2016. For sale in our Philadelphia showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie. A mid-year model crossover, the '59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows you'll often find patrons arguing whether it's a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. This particular Fairlane being a four-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular '59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 332 V8 engine. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic “Cruise-O-Matic” transmission.
