This beautiful 1972 Ford Thunderbird is now available for sale in our Milwaukee showroom. You’ll love the 460 cubic inch big block engine coupled to the 3-speed automatic transmission, the white exterior and black leather interior. This T-Bird comes with cruise control, power brakes, power steering, and radial tires. Aside from the redesign itself, the 1972 Thunderbird represented a simplification of body styles. Instead of the three body styles (landau, two-door and four-door hardtops) offered for the 1971 model year, Thunderbird was pared down to a single two-door hardtop model line. Externally, many components were common with the Continental Mark IV, the primary differences being the front and rear body panels. The prominent “beak” of 1971 was toned down while the sequential turn signals seen since 1965 were deleted for cost reasons. Aside from the dashboard, the interior was also shared with the Mark IV. Instead of the square gauges used by the Mark IV, Thunderbirds used round dials for the speedometer, fuel gauge, and clock. To the driver’s left were the climate control controls and the light controls; to the right were the radio controls, wiper controls, and information center. This dash layout would remain through the 1979 model year. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird. This gorgeous Thunderbird is painted in a late model Ford color named Wedgewood Blue Metallic and it looks amazing on this luxurious bird. Originally Silver Mink which isn't too terrible far away from the new color. Inside is a black interior in terrific condition and equipped with all the Thunderbird goodies. Equipment consist of Power windows, Power seats, Air Conditioning, Telescopic steering column and of course everyone's favorite; the swing away steering wheel. Power comes from a smooth running and torquey 390 V8. Both the 390 and the C6 automatic were rebuilt during the detailed restoration in 2008. The restorers did a fantastic job with this one and had it a bit easier due to the solid state of the car. This Thunderbird is still retaining all its original metal. The car had obviously been very well cared for over the years and it shows with the original interior. Recently fitted with new front disc brakes. This one drives as well as it looks. One of the coolest features of the Thunderbird debuted in 1965 with sequential taillights and the set on this car are working as they should. 1966 was the last year for this Thunderbird generation and the world would be in for some substantial changes going forward making the '66 one of the last greats! For more information on this well restored 1966 Ford Thunderbird, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom. To view 100+ HD photos and video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.

The black vinyl Landau roof contrasts great against the white paint on this classic 1966 Ford Thunderbird! Power comes from the 390 cubic inch V8 that sits under the hood and is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Rated at 315 horsepower and 427 ft./lbs of torque there is more then enough power to move this thing down the road no matter where you take it. The black interior of the car reflects the great care that has been given to this car over the years as there are now tear or wear mark in the seats or headliner. These cars have some of the most futuristic looking sets of gauges and controls of any cars in this era. Not to mention the swing away steering wheel that is sure to impress and surprise any of your passengers. Inside and out the car shows incredibly well and will definitely turn some heads. 1966 was the final year of production for the fourth generation Thunderbird. The next generation would be a major redesign and featured four doors for the first time. Still to this day a lot of car enthusiasts say that the ’66 was the last of the traditional Thunderbirds, making it much more sought after than the following generations. Our Milwaukee showroom is very proud to present this absolutely stunning 1966 Ford Thunderbird. This T-Bird comes equipped with a 390 V8 engine, and 4 speed automatic transmission. The convertible top borrowed the opening mechanism from the same era Lincoln Continental where the trunklid would open electrically in a single piece, hinged at the back of the vehicle, then the fabric top would fold down and disappear beneath the trunklid. The mechanism was originally used on the Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner hardtop convertible of the late 1950s. Opening the trunk on convertibles for storage required that the lid be opened electrically, without deploying or retracting the folding convertible top. In 1966, a flatter hood, re-shaped front fenders, new headlight buckets, new egg crate grille with large Thunderbird emblem, new bumper guards, a single bumper bar, and painted roll pan replaced the previous two model year's two-piece front bumper. The rear taillights were revised, now a 3 piece unit going the full width across the rear, the backup light now located in the center section replaced the formerly rear roll pan mounted lamps. The transmission used on early build 390 V8 equipped T-Birds was the Cruise-O-Matic MX, however late build 390 and all 428 V8 equipped T-Birds had the new C6 3 speed automatic installed. The Tampa Showroom is proud to be listing this 1963 Ford Thunderbird for sale. A bullet bird, how cool is this ride! This Thunderbird has a 390ci V-8 with an automatic transmission. The T-bird has a newer top and the interior has been lifted from the old to the new with carpet an, seats, and door panels. The newer paint looks very good and this bullet is ready for the road. During the build, new brakes, gas tank & lines, transmission serviced, a new Holly carburetor, driveshaft balanced, trunk mat kit, master cylinders, power booster, and multiple trim pieces. Heads have been hardened to accept regular gasoline. This bird comes with a cover, extra rear bumpers, original heads, carburetor, and fuel pump. All this work was completed 2012 and with only 535 miles put on the odometer since the build. The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models. Sales were strong, if not quite up to record-breaking 1960, at 73,051 including 10,516 convertibles. A new, larger 390 cu in 6.4 L FE-series V8 was the only engine available in 1961. The Thunderbird was 1961's Indianapolis 500 pace car, and featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably aided by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. It shared some styling cues with the much smaller European Ford Corsair. Changes for 1963 were relatively mild. Some additions to the option list included vacuum assisted door locks and an AM/FM radio; an AM radio and a remote driver's side mirror became standard. Options include: Power Brakes, AM radio, Hub Caps, Power steering, power top, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, radial tires, power windows, . Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible. The Thunderbird was introduced as a sporty two seater geared to the luxury crowd. A segment that had been pretty much ignored by American car makers. Starting out as a little 2 seater the car would see the addition a lot of things but rear seats has to be the biggest. This 65 is a great example of why these cars became so loved back then. Even though the car is a bigger car it carries all that sheetmetal nicely and does not appear to big as it really is. The blue paint on the car looks great with the base coat clear coat giving it a whole new depth that could not be achieved back then. The white top just enhances that blue even more and really blends well with the interior. The wide white walls are the perfect match and really put an exclamation point on the build. The hubcaps are a welcomed addition and give it a classic feel. Under the hood is one of Ford’s go to engines an FE big block 390 that sounds amazing. The transmission shifts nicely giving the car a very cruiser feel. Unlatch the 2 hooks and hit the button as the white top comes down giving the car a totally different look. The white leather interior is easily showed off now and is sure to grab attention no matter where you go. If you have been wanting a great running and looking 60’s era convertible with big block power this beauty is the car for you. Receipts are available upon request. Options include, AM/FM Radio, Powered Convertible Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Hub Caps, Leather Interior, Seat Belts and White Wall Radial Tires. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this show stopping 1956 Ford F100. This truck has gone through a complete overall and ready for it’s next car show, and fully capable of taking home the trophies. As you will notice the rear of this truck shows “Trophy Hunter” which adds some nice appeal, but for those not favoring it, this can be easily removed if you would like. Powering the beauty is a 302 CID V8 that’s been paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The truck was built by “Hill’s Hot Rods” out of Lubbock, TX back in 2011 but took over 4 years and claimed to more than $200,000 into the build. The truck also features Doug’s headers, Edlebrock carburetor, and an aluminum Be Cool radiator to ensure proper cooling of the strong running engine. The truck rides smooth with upgraded suspension to include tubular upper and lower control arms, adjustable coil over shocks in the rear, and Bilstein shocks in the front. To give the truck some nice flare, the valve covers, and air cleaner were sprayed in a very nice bronze color. The truck has a very sleek paint job with a 2-tone color combo. The lower layer is a soft cream color that is topped off with a maroon that looks almost like a root beer when shining in the sunlight. This color combo is not seen often and is certainly a head turner. If you are looking for a truck that will let you stand out in a crowd, then this is the one for you. Winning numerous awards through the years to include taking 12th place at Good Guys back in 2011. The truck sits on a nice set of Bonspeed wheels 18” in the front and 20” in the rear. Behind the wheels are SSBC brakes mounted to slotted rotors on all 4 wheels to provide plenty of stopping power. The interior of this truck is far from original and done in a nice lighter brown color. In the center of each section is a nice darker brown patterned material that gives the truck some flare. The interior flows well with the other colors throughout the exterior of the truck and is truly show quality. The panels, and headliner have been customized as well to keep uniformity throughout the vehicle. With the options of tilt wheel, A/C, power steering, power brakes, and door poppers this truck is ready for a show.
