1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Engine: 5.7L V8 MPI OHV 16V
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 5900 ( actual )

On May 30th, 1993, the 77th Indianapolis 500 was held to a packed audience of over 300,000 spectators. Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi took the lead with 16 laps to go, and won his second career Indy 500 victory. Leading the pack before the flying of the green flag and keeping the 220 mile per hour monsters at bay, was the 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Pace Car. The track and the Camaro have long histories together, and 1993 was a big year for the two. It was the first car to have the distinction of being used four times as the pace car. Also, the track had major renovations done for the 1993 race, and 93’ was the first year of the boldly redesigned 4th Generation Camaro. In sharp contrast to the 3rd gen it featured smooth body lines and a modern driving feel. When it lead the pack of race cars in the brickyard, it too looked like a proper racer with its LT-1 V8 producing 275Hp, 16 Inch Alloy Wheels and striking black and white paint. Top that off with the wild colored stripes and the car is a true 90’s head turner. It may look like a race car, but it still has creature comforts like AC/Heat, 4-Speed auto transmission, 4-wheel power assist ABS disk brakes, Bose AM/FM CD Stereo, and removable roof panels. This particular car is #528 of 645 Camaro tribute Pace Cars and is a real 90’s gem. All original parts, interior is vibrant in color and pattern; showroom new with no tears. The engine, underbody, and body are factory-fresh and that all adds up as this car was never sent out in poor weather and has very low miles at only 5,901 Miles on the clock. If you are ready to own this rare throwback to the 90’s you can see it in our Milwaukee showroom. Also you can view this 1993 Chevrolet Camaro in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1LE

Engine: 5.7L V8 F OHV 16V
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 121008 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1LE. The 1995 Camaro Z28 1LE is a no frills SCCA ready track car for the showroom stock racing class that had emerged in Canada. In this showroom stock division the Camaro was able to be refined and became a strong competitor on the streets and a weapon on the track. As GM engineers were examining the 1LE’s shortfalls on the track they continued to improve year by year. The 1LE featured unique front brakes which borrowed the large 12 inch front rotors from the Caprice and utilized a caliper manufactured by PBR in Australia which was also used on the corvette but with modifications to the Camaro spindle was adapted to fit. The Camaro 1LE was not a standard production car and was an option that could only be ordered, very few were ordered and subsequently produced each year. The 1995 model year marked the 8th year the 1LE option was available and only 106 of these were produced. This 1995 example is powered by a LT1 350CI V8 rated at 275hp and backed by a Tremec 6-speed special close ratio manual with a Hurst Shifter. With its upgraded suspension over your standard Z28 Camaro’s this car hugs the curves and carves out a nice line its standard counterpart would have a very difficult time following. It’s said that the Camaro is “ A small vicious animal that eats Mustang.” And this one lives up to its name with its upgraded rear end, paired with the upgraded suspension to transfer its power more effectively than its competitor and the roar from the exhaust as you put the pedal to the floor.
