1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Engine: 351 Cleveland V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 79,219 ( undocumented )

We offer this 1971 Ford Mach 1 for sale in our Atlanta Showroom. This 351 Cleveland has the business end ready for you. Is there anything cooler than a specialty edition car from the era, I think not, maybe only two specialty cars instead of one. In 1971, the Mach 1 started with a base engine of the 302ci based Windsor motor, with a 2 barrel carburetor, followed by four optional 351 Cleveland engines. One of the most recognizable features of the '71-'73 Mustangs is the optional, standard on Boss, 351 NACA hood design with dual scoops. Though available as a visual, non-functional item, they could be made fully functional on models ordered with the Ram Air option, which included vacuum controlled 'flaps' inside each scoop, and a fiberglass under-hood 'plenum' that directed cool, outside air through a modified, rubber-ringed air filter housing and into the carburetor. The ram-air option included a two-tone hood paint treatment in either 'matte black' or 'argent' (matte silver), coordinated to the base color of the Mach 1 and its decals and striping. In addition, all Ram Air-equipped Mustangs of this generation came equipped with twist-style, chrome-plated hood locking pins. Options include: Cassette Player, Custom Wheels, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl interior, AM/FM radio, radial tires, rally wheels. To view the vehicle in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1972 Ford Mustang

Engine: 351 CID Cleveland V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 66,619 ( undocumented )

Now available in our DFW Showroom is this 1972 Ford Mustang. The 1972 Ford Mustangs changed very little from the 1971 models, except the Boss 351 did not return for a second year. Outside of red/white and blue color schemes, the only obvious difference was the Mustang name on the rear was now smaller and on the right side, instead of across the center. This 1972 Mustang began life as a Grande version, but has been converted over time. It is powered by a strong number’s matching 351 Cleveland with an FMX Auto transmission. The engine has been rebuilt, which the owner added a new intake and carburetor at this time. It has only approximately 2,500 miles since the rebuild. Other things updated by the owner include: Petronics electronic ignition installed with a new grab a track front suspension kit and steering kit. Also new is the following: -brake lines, rotors, calipers-on front, drum-lines, headliner, carpet, dash-pads, deluxe door panels, shock absorbers, classic air conditioning system, radiator, belt, hoses, chrome-front and rear bumpers, windshield trim, mustang badges, door weather stripping & trunk seal. With all that being done, this vehicle is ready to hit the road and take someone for an awesome cruise. Will that be you? Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. Just in time for the summer cruising season, this yellow drop-top is sure to turn a few heads as you roll past. The Mustang is an American classic, and they have been sought after and revered since their introduction in 1964 ½. The fourth generation Mustangs were built from 1971-1973 model years, with 1973 being the last year of the “pony car” era. The original carburetor, intake and AM 8-track audio unit, as well as, rear seat interior trim panels are all available as a part of the sale. The factory air conditioning system is currently inoperable and would need properly diagnosed to determine what’s wrong. 1971 Ford F100

1971 Ford F100

Engine: 351 Bored to 409 CID V8
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,810 ( undocumented )

In the market for a fully restored classic short bed pickup truck? You definitely need to take a closer look at this very well done 1971 Ford F-100! Starting off its life here in Colorado this truck was loved and cared for over many years, and once the current owner got their hands on it, this truck received a complete frame-off restoration. The concept was to build a truck that would be able to do both long cruises while not becoming a boring daily driver. The drivetrain chosen for this truck was a stroked 351 Windsor that dyno’d around 450 horsepower and 500 ft/lbs. of torque! This powerhouse of an engine would surely be plenty to get this truck going in a hurry so to not lose the drivability that was desired, it was backed up by a Keisler 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch giving you an overdrive gear and keeping the fun factor at an all time high. What good is all of this power though if the rear end of the truck cannot handle it? To make sure this wouldn’t be an issue the strong Ford 9” rear end was equipped with Moser 31-spline axles and a true track locking differential. This drivetrain overall will hold up well to the power that is being put out by the engine without sacrificing any reliability. Helping the truck to handle as well as they’d hope, the front end had a Rod & Custom Mustang II front suspension put underneath and the rear of the truck was lowered to give it that great rake. Power rack and pinion steering and power brakes allow excellent control of the truck and make it simple to take on long cruises. Also adding to the comfort is a set of modern F-150 bucket seats and a center council that not only fit great, but also are extraordinarily comfortable to ride in. The aftermarket AM/FM radio in the truck will allow you to listen to your favorite tunes throughout your drive. The body and paint on this truck are also very well done with a gorgeous blue paint that was laid over the top of the cleaned up body. All of the side moldings removed, seams welded and flushed, and the locking tailgate flushed really add to the clean look of this F-100. If you are looking for a truck that is going to be a great mix of performance and drivability, this is an excellent option!
