Engine: LS3 525 HPTransmission: 6 Speed ManualMileage: 1500 ( since rebuilt )
Now for sale in our Houston showroom is one awesome 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod. Before this radical transformation, the car was stored in a warehouse for over 30 years. Luckily, the car was recovered from what has been the end of many great cars, and the decision was made to make it into the amazing machine you see before you. Performed by the Duntov Motor Company in Dallas, Texas, no expense was spared on this restoration/modification. Specializing in building, racing, and restoring vintage Corvettes, Duntov’s expertise shines through brilliantly on this build. The frame was stripped completely down, dipped in an alkaline vat, and primed to a level higher than you would have seen on the line in St. Louis. Pop the forward tilting hood and you will find a brand new GM Performance LS3 engine. This particular LS is pumping out 525 hp, making this little black C2 a force to be reckoned with. All of that force is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec 5 speed manual and spinning a Duntov differential housing 3.73 gears. Keeping this little beast planted is a complete Duntov front and rear suspension set up. The entire undercarriage, engine compartment, and inside of the body was sprayed with Lizard Skin to keep heat and unwanted sounds out of the cabin. Fans of Fast & Loud may recognize Sue’s handy work, as ASM performed all of the interior work, including the Corbeau leather reclining seats with 4 point harnesses. Adding to the interior comforts is a custom Bluetooth sound system, power windows, power steering, and a Flaming River tilt steering column. This car was a factory air car, and it has been upgraded with a Vintage Air A/C system. Naturally, you top off a build like this with phenomenal paint. 10 coats of primer were applied with sanding between each coat, then 3 coats of black base and 3 coats of clear coat. Throw in the smoked chrome Coy’s wheels and the brutal side pipes, and this car has the presence to match the build. This is one unique C2 Corvette that will not disappoint. Engine: LS3 6.2L V8Transmission: 5-Speed ManualMileage: 1390 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Between the modern powertrain and the classic styling, this car is definitely a show stopper. Under the "Stinger" hood of this beast is a Chevrolet LS3 that would have been found in a more modern C5 Vette. Upon starting the engine, everyone around can hear the deep, burbly sounds of the side pipes. This swap not only provides much more power and drivability to the car, but it also makes servicing much easier considering that all of the parts needed for the engine are still mass produced by companies for GM. As for the engine itself, it runs very strong and brings as much power to the car as a big block would have back in the day (hence the big block hood). Sending that modern power to the rear end is a five speed manual transmission that shifts firmly through the gears with an extremely short shifter throw. This car having a modern powertrain, of course it has disc brakes all around that provide a good initial bite along with firm stopping power thanks to a wilwood master cylinder. Moving outward, the exterior of the car is finished in a traditional light blue metalic that looks very nice and correct for the era of car. Finishing the stinger hood is a white stripe. Overall the paint is in very good condition and shows well. Supporting each corner of this beauty are chrome alloy wheels wrapped in low profile performance tires with good life left in them likely sourced from a C5. The white soft top is also in very good condition and moves freely as it should. Upon entering the cabin, the driver will be greeted by a light blue interior to match the exterior. Overall, the interior is in very good condition and accents the excellent work performed on the powertrain and suspension. The vinyl seats provide plenty of comfort while still maintaining decent support for cornering. In the summer months, the driver will appreciate the convertible soft top that lets in plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Engine: 400 CITransmission: 4 Speed ManualMileage: 53776 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Atlanta showroom is this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray not only had a new design, but also newfound handling prowess. The Sting Ray was also a somewhat lighter Corvette, so acceleration improved despite unchanged horsepower. For the 1963 model, production was divided almost evenly between the convertible and the new coupe - and more than half the convertibles were ordered with the optional lift-off hardtop. Nevertheless, the coupe wouldn't sell as well again throughout the Sting Ray years. New for the 1963 model year was an optional electronic ignition, the breakerless magnetic pulse-triggered Delcotronic, first offered by Pontiac on some 1963 models. This non-numbers matching 4 speed Corvette would make a good driver or one to restore back to showroom condition. Red convertible Corvette, what else do you need. The only thing it is missing is you in the driver’s seat! To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is a stunning 1966 Chevrolet Corvette. The production of the C2 Corvette ran from 1963 to 1967. Describing this convertible as clean would be an understatement. This Chevy is powered by the original 327cid/300hp it was born with. The motor is mated to a four speed manual transmission that shifts with ease. The restoration on this particular Stingray is top notch. It has a convertible top that is like new. The carburetor was recently rebuilt, door panels were replaced, and the battery was replaced in December of 2017. All of the chrome around the bumpers have luster that shows beautifully, as though it was re-chromed yesterday. The gauges on the instrument cluster are crystal clear. Driving this vehicle is a blast as it has power steering and power brakes and no shortage of cold air coming from the air conditioning system. Drop the top and go for a cruise and you’ll never be disappointed. The Silver Pearl paint, which is the original color on this ‘Vette, looks fantastic. This is arguably the best color combination that was available. The red interior is virtually flawless. The engine runs strong and shows very well. Both the driver and passenger door close with next to no effort. Everything about this corvette is amazing, from the performance to the aesthetics.
