For sale in our Chicago showroom is this classic 1946 Ford Super Deluxe. The ’46 is a smooth body style with, at the time, a powerful V8. The flat head V8s have gained quite a following recently, and restorers hunt for them to use in the classics. While not known for being a powerhouse, they give a smooth power band with plenty of torque. This coupe is sporting one such example. Powered by a 221 cubic inch modified flat head V8 matched with a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission, this is an authentic driver.
The V8 produced near 60 horsepower when new, but thanks to some Offenhauser heads, an upgraded Comp camshaft, and a few other improvements, power has been bumped up to an estimated 75 horsepower. These upgrades and power boost make cruising with more modern cars easier. Fresh red paint has been laid over the original sheet metal giving a like-new appearance. A larger clutch has been installed giving better gripping power, as well as longer life expectancy, making for a more robust and reliable drive train.
This slightly modified antique makes for a great cruiser and is sure to get you smiling. Inside the car you'll find classic bench seats and the original dash to take you back in time. Options include: AM Radio, Hub Caps, and White Wall Tires. For more information on this ’46 Ford Super Deluxe, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to announce this outstanding 1948 Ford Deluxe Convertible for sale in our Scottsdale Showroom. This high-end, complete rebuild has had some very respectable hands involved in its restoration, utilizing an array of top-notch components and it shows! This build began with a 1948 Ford Deluxe V-8 Convertible beautifully restored to its original condition with burgundy paint and a tan top. A photo album details the build step-by-step, highlighting each stage. Kugel Komponents provided their expertise by customizing the chassis to handle the torque of a supercharged engine and fabricating a state-of-the-art independent suspension with calibrated coil-over shocks front and rear. Mitech Racing Engines bored and stroked a Ford Windsor engine out to 393 Cubic inches. Topped by a BDS Supercharger and dual Holley carbs, this engine produced 520 HP and 468 ft./lbs. of torque when dyno’d. A Ford C4 transmission has been called upon to put this immense power to the pavement. The removable Carson top and windshield chop are the work of Gene Winfield. The fenders were sculpted to the body, the final preparations made and “Candy Brandywine” paint was applied by Hot Rods by Boyd Coddington. This was one of the very last cars to come out of his shop in La Habra, CA. Bills Auto Upholstery in Brea, CA provided the luxurious all-leather camel interior with heated power seats. Many modifications were performed, some of which include: Installation of a 3.90:1 Posi Independent Rear End, 20-gallon Rock Valley stainless steel fuel tank, rack and pinion power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes w/electric vacuum pump, power windows, A/C, custom-made “Dougs Headers”, Blaupunkt Satellite Stereo System, “Appleton” spotlights on drivers & Passenger sides and the list is almost endless! Engine: 302 CID V8Transmission: C6 AutomaticMileage: 18,560 ( since rebuilt )
This custom 1946 Ford pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1946 was a great year for the auto industry in general. The war was won, and the factories had returned to what they do best, manufacturing automobiles. With 46 being the first year for post war cars they are extremely popular with collectors and enthusiast in general. This one-off custom-built red rocket is sure to garner attention where ever it goes. The bright red paint is slick and shows extremely well. The soft tonneau covers the bed giving it a sportier look. The front end looks menacing as it is coming down the road with the chrome grill almost looking like teeth as they pronounce the front end. Under the hood is where this 46 is sure to get your blood pumping. The 302 small block looks right at home and is one of the very few street rods to stay true to its roots. The high-rise intake is not only impressive looking but increases horsepower output as well. The Mallory ignition setup gives the small block just the right amount of spark while the edelbrock carb feeds it all the gas it can handle. Start it up and that little small block has a pretty radical grow. The C6 transmission is putting power to a Ford 9-inch rear end which is one of the most reliable set ups. The interior of the truck is clean and simple with the white auto meter gauges really giving a huge contrast to the red. The Hurst shifter has been raised up making it much easier to use. The black door inserts are clean and really finish the interior off nicely. If you have been wanting to get your hands on a street rod that has stayed true to its namesake this all Ford 46 custom pickup is one of the few.Options on this 1946 Ford Pickup for sale include; Seat Belts, Tilt Steering Wheel, Cloth Interior, Polished Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. 1946 Ford Pickup for sale is in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Nashville showroom is one smoking hot 1946 Ford Coupe. When this car hit the market in 1946 it was the best of both worlds, a little sporty, but could seat the whole family, however it wasn’t going to outrun the law. Up until the late 1990’s the original owner had this car which over time turned into any moonshiner’s dream. The car was hopped up with a strong V8 small block Chevrolet backed by a turbo-350 transmission this is a peppy little car that would have had an easy time out running Johnny law in the early 1950’s. The suspension has been beefed up with aftermarket shocks, and the interior was swapped out with something a little newer. Wearing hot rod red, there wouldn’t be much blending in so fast was the way they’d get the job done. Slide behind the steering wheel and you can see for yourself a view not too dissimilar than that of the moonshiners that participated in the very first NASCAR races in 1948. Now… did this car ever make a shine run? Maybe, maybe not… but who’s to say? Options include:AM/FM, Cassette, wire wheels, Power steering, Power Brakes, Cloth custom interior, and Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this custom 1948 Ford F1 pickup. This truck is truly one of a kind that won’t be found anywhere else. The truck was hand built by a Ford engineer and no detail has been missed. This truck sports the hard steel body, painted matte black, with the luxurious and comfortable interior of a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. This is an interesting combination and must be seen to believe that it works so well and so seamless. The engine that powers this unique truck is a 302CID V8 that adds the aggressive rumble to match the mean look of the 1948 Ford pickup body. The 302CID V8 is backed by the automatic transmission that came with the Mercury Mountaineer, so it shifts very smooth. That’s not the only thing smooth on this either. The entire chassis is from a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer which gives this pickup a level of comfort that just cannot be found in vehicles of the original era. The interior of the car is in black as well and is very clean. This truck offers power steering and power brakes, so you will be able to handle the weight of the steel body with ease. Engine: Flathead 4Transmission: 3-Speed ManualMileage: 5,632 ( undocumented )
For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. To view this 1931 Ford Model A in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
