For sale in our Chicago showroom is this 1948 Ford Anglia. The Anglia was a car designed and sold by Ford UK as a subcompact for the smaller streets. This would have been powered by a small 0.9L inline 4-cylinder engine with some models doing the better part of 40mpg! On the other end of the spectrum is this example. The recipe for a hot rod has always been stuffing bigger motors in smaller cars, and this fits the bill. With a potent 350 cubic inch V8 bolted to a firm shifting 3-speed automatic, this Anglia is a real rocket.

Stuffing a big motor in a small car is an easy way to get a rat rod, but to make it a true hot rod there is a bit more involved. Luckily, this Anglia saw the full treatment: fresh paint, new sound system, and a full custom interior. Not to mention the Ford 9” rear end tucked under the tubbed fenders ready to take any punishment you think you can deal out. The custom interior is in great shape with hidden speakers tucked next to the radio in the headliner, and in the sail panels behind you making for a great soundscape without compromising cabin space.

Ready to roast tires at the drop of your foot, this ’48 Ford is one of the hottest rods around. Options include: AM/FM/Cassette, Custom Wheels, Performance Tires, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, Power Windows, and a Battery Cut Off. 1950 Ford Woody

1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1946 Ford Coupe

1946 Ford Coupe

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: C4 Automatic
Mileage: 30109 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an all steel 1946 Ford Coupe. This is a rarely seen Ford street rod due to the fact that it is powered by, you guessed it, a Ford drivetrain. A 302 CID V8 engine provides the horsepower for this 46’ Coupe and features an Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum intake, Summit HEI distributor, Billet Pulleys, chrome valve covers, and dual fuel pumps (Summit mechanical and a Holley electric). An aluminum radiator and 16” electric fan work together to keep this Ford powered street rod cool on hot days. A C4 automatic transmission transfers the power to the Ford 8” rear end. The Light Chestnut exterior paint is a PPG product and shows very well. The dark red pinstripe matches the cranberry accents in the interior to a T. The tan cloth interior is as clean as you will find. The tweed seats, panels, and headliner show little to no wear, and look excellent. The odometer reads 30,109, which represents the mileage put on the car since the restoration was complete. Options for this 1946 Ford Coupe include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and American Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. A portion of those miles were spent on the Power Tour, to which the car ran beautifully with no issues for the duration of the drive. This is a great Ford street rod that has been kept incredibly clean since its restoration and drives wonderfully. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 298 V6
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 32999 ( undocumented )

We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
