For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very unique 1938 Ford Sedan Delivery Wagon. Not to be mistaken with a Panel Truck, this is a two-door station wagon equipped with a driver and front passenger seat only. The heart of this old school wagon is a 350-cubic inch GM crate motor that was purchased and installed brand new 3 years ago. At this time, the 700R4 transmission was put in as well, and delivered power to the posi 3.55:1 rear end.
About a year after the motor and transmission were done, the car got some new paint. The black exterior is accented nicely by the understated appearance which is what leads so many to love this style of vehicle. Looking inside, the gray vinyl interior allows one to comfortably sit inside when you’re on your way to deliver a small parcel, or headed to the car show in anticipation of yet another trophy.
The two seats have lumbar support, and paired with comfort must be safety which is why this sedan is fitted with seat belts as well. Climb in through the slick suicide doors and crank the tunes in the updated AM/FM radio equipped with a CD player.
This Sedan Delivery is a fantastic representation of taking an old workhorse and showing the beauty that lies within.
Options include: Air Conditioning, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, CD, Power Brakes, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Vinyl Interior. Engine: 350 CID V8Transmission: 3-Speed AutomaticMileage: 3,613 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Houston showroom is this beautiful 1939 Ford Roadster street rod. Covered in an unmistakably flamboyant metallic green, this baby really stands out from the crowd! Featuring a detachable chopped hard top, this is one unmistakable hot rod. a 400hp 350 CID V8 with under 4000 miles on it lurks under the hood, and it's backed by a freshly-built TH350 3-speed automatic, which sends the power to the Ford 9" rear, with a custom 4-link setup handling getting the power to the ground. Coilover shocks are at all 4 corners, and its massive Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (225/35-ZR19 front, 295/30-ZR20 rear) wrapped around the Budnik billet wheels (19" front, 20" rear) all contribute to enabling this vintage hotrod to handle like a modern sports car. Power steering is there to help aid low-speed maneuverability, but it's doubtful you'll spend much time going slow! Don't worry if you get going too quickly because of the surge of adrenaline that will get to your right foot - your left foot can stab the slow pedal, and the multi-piston Wilwood brake calipers will grab the massive rotors (drilled/slotted up front, drilled out back) and haul you back to legal numbers in no time. Open the custom, shaved handle suicide doors, and the coolness continues...Inside, you'll find a completely custom interior, with plenty of creature comforts. A fully-polished Colorado Custom tilt-adjustable steering column is topped by a billet steering wheel, and the dash sports a full set of AutoMeter ProComp gauges to both keep the driver informed of critical vehicle systems, as well as to further the high-performance street rod motif. If the driver (or more likely the passenger) ever tire of the V8's rumble, there's a custom dual-DIN Kenwood touch screen head unit, with AM/FM/CD and Bluetooth compatibility. Once you get past all of the goodies, slip into the custom high-grade synthetic seats, strap on your seatbelt, fire it up, and hit the road in one of the coolest street rods you'll find. Options on this 1939 Ford Roadster include Aluminum Alloy Wheels, AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth, Performance Radial Tires, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, and Synthetic Leather interior. For sale in our Nashville show room is this very original 1938 Ford DeLuxe four door convertible! While the vast majority of automobiles built in the U.S. in the late 1930s had closed bodies, open cars still carried an aura of luxury and exclusivity. Even Ford, which perfected mass production, introduced a new open car that combined the best features of a closed body, a cabriolet, and a four-door sedan into one single design. Offered only in DeLuxe trim, the distinctive Convertible Sedan drew many prospective buyers into Ford showrooms. This example came from a car museum in the Southeast and left the factory with nearly every one of the 20+ factory options for the year and model. These included deluxe hubcaps, deluxe wheels, cigarette lighter, side mirrors, dash clock, bumper guards, glove box, and many more! This car came with an 85 bhp, 221 cu. in. V-8 engine with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring, semi-floating rear axle with transverse leaf spring , and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The car has been outfitted with a few newer parts to improve drivability and safety. The upgrades include a new griffin radiator to handle the rigors of modern driving, new distributor and coil, new battery, and an alternator conversion. These upgrades were done to convert the car from six to twelve volt for convince and safety. If you are looking for a great example of a survivor pre-war touring car, this is the one! Engine: 352 CID V8Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 345 ( since rebuilt )
This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1960 Thunderbird was the last year for what is now known as the Square birds. A rather distinctly different car than original baby birds as the second-generation cars are much bigger and can seat 4 adults comfortably. This beautiful red example has gone through a pain staking restoration with the finished Bird being one the best I have seen. Lugged out of a junk yard 15 years ago this was a solid bird to begin with. The red paint was laid down nice and smooth with the result looking like glass. The trim and chrome on the car are exceptionally clean and remind you why these birds are classic late 50’s. Those classic wire knock offs are the perfect fit on this 60 Bird. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine bay that is as clean as they come. The period corrects 352 with its true to form yellow valve covers really putting their exclamation point under the hood. The Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed is a smooth shifting transmission that handles all the power of the 352 with ease. Inside this plush 4-seater a fresh interior has been done in red and white vinyl making for a great contrast. The middle console that flows into the back separating the buckets is one of the coolest features to come in a factory car. If you have been wanting to get yourself into a square bird that is flashy and luxurious this one must be on your list. Options on this 1960 Bird include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Knock Off Wheels wrapped in Bias PLY White Wall Tires. To view this car in full detail with HD pictures and video on this 1960 Ford Thunderbird call our Louisville showroom at (812)-294-1555, or email us at Louisville@Gatewayclassiccars.com
