For sale in our Chicago showroom is this untamable 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Nicknamed “The Hammer,” this monster is ready to pound some pavement.

Cradling an extensively built 402 big block Chevrolet V8 topped with a healthy 8-71 Weiand supercharger, this Monte Carlo will move. With well over 750rwhp from pump gas, you’ll have all the power you should ever want. In the event it isn’t enough, a few small changes let this beast drink C16 race fuel and pump out and earth-shaking 1200+ horsepower!

The whole car is built to the same caliber, with a spragless TH-350 3-speed automatic, GM 12-bolt rear, lightweight brakes, the wildly customized interior, and the general “sinister” look. Welcome to the Thunderdome!

The first thing most people notice on this beast is the monstrous twin-intake adorned with a custom cut out displaying the name of the car; “HAMMER.” For the first few seconds of seeing the car, everything else is background noise. Slowly it all starts to fade in: the mirror black paint with candy metallic orange stripes, the leather dash pad with “SS” embroidered, the synthetic leather seats finished with the same orange stitching. This is a beautiful show car that has plenty of go. Many hours of blood sweat, tears a labor of love have gone into the build making this a true top-notch muscle car.

This bad dog has the bite to match its bark! Options include: Custom Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Headlights, Custom Gauges, GPS/Navigation, Racing Slicks, Vinyl/Leather Interior, Brake Lights, Clock, AM/FM/CD player, Aluminum Wheels, Power Windows, and Turn signals. This pickup truck has been in the same family for over twenty-years and when purchased in 1998 the faded bed was given a fresh clearcoat and the belts, hoses, body brushings and valve cover gaskets were all replaced. In 2017 a Black Sliding Window, Bed Linder, Bed Rails, Original Wheels, Original Hubcaps, and new B.F. Goodrich Tires and GM Rally Wheels were added. Today, this Second Generation (1967-1972) C-10 still maintains the original intent of Ford with this line to combine some comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. We are still a way off from the F-150 King Ranch, but the taut and black vinyl seating and perfectly maintained dash make for a very comfortable ride. The 3-speed shifter on the steering column allows for easy driving for a truck that will surprise you with how smooth it turns and accelerates. This truck is being powered by a 307 CID V8 engine. Externally, there is a great deal to boast about how the gold and white paint reflects very well under the polished chrome trim, and blue Chevy Bow-Tie. The classic qualities of Chevrolet professionalism and workmanship are evident throughout on this 1970 C-10. 1970 Chevrolet Camaro

1970 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 406 CID V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 298 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this highly modified 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1967 we saw the introduction of the Camaro, Chevy’s answer to the Ford Mustang. Just three years into production Chevrolet brought us a total redesign of the car, ushering in the infamous split bumper design. The car on offer is far from what it was when it came from the factory. This is a purpose built road/track car. Underneath this eye popping Orange exterior you’ll find a multitude of performance upgrades since it was built in south Georgia around 8 years ago. Powering this beast is a built 406 Small Block Chevy engine mated to a T56 6-Speed Transmission. Performance modifications include AFR Cylinder heads, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy Cam, Edelbrock Air gap intake, Demon 625 carburetor, and Professional Products Harmonic balancer. Making sure the transmission can handle all the added power a Mcleod billet Flywheel and hydraulic clutch were added; the transmission then connects to the custom Aluminum driveshaft sending power to the Strange Ford 9” with 4.11 gears. Helping the car make tight corners are BMR upper and lower front control arms, BMR rear torque arm and AFCO remote reservoir double adjustable shocks. The carbon fiber hood and deck lid from Anvil Auto make for an aggressive look contrasting against the bright Orange exterior. Adding to its menacing look are the staggered Black Formula 43 RAD S5 wheels measuring 18x9 upfront and 18x12 in the back. Inside the car you’ll find an original styled interior with custom tan leather bucket seats and a 4 point roll cage. You can listen to the radio cruising down the highway or roll down the windows to hear the roar of the Magnaflow exhaust as you blast around the racetrack. If you are looking for a unique car that you can drive to the track, set some nice lap times and drive home, then look no further. 1960 Chevrolet Impala

1960 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 2-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,176 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at
