For sale in our Chicago showroom is this sweet 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. The year 1963 was a very interesting time for the Galaxie. There were multiple different body style options including a 4-door, 2-door, and 2-door fastback; five different transmission options; as well as eight engine options available. This 2-door Galaxie is equipped with the 390 cubic-inch Ford big block that has a very nice, deep rumble. The transmission, a 3-speed automatic ensures a smooth shift each time you press the gas. This combination is solid and has proved itself for what is said to be the original 46,000 miles.

The bright exterior is finished in Rangoon Red and is paired with a nice, complimenting white roof. When you sit down in the driver’s seat you will be comfortably greeted by a very nice Sandshell Beige vinyl interior. Sitting inside this car makes you think about what it would’ve been like, and in some cases, takes you back how it was to cruise back when this car was new in 1963. When the nicely optioned center-console shifter gets put into drive the car gets off to a smooth start and simply floats down the road. When you get to your destination and park the car, you’re going to have to look back and admire.

If a classic, original styled ‘60s cruiser is what you’re looking for, then look no more because this is it. 1962 Ford Galaxie

1962 Ford Galaxie

Engine: 352 V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 56,723 ( actual )

We are super-thrilled offer for sale this eye-catching 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner (convertible) in our Saint Louis Showroom of Gateway Classic Cars. The next owner of this beauty will be fortunate enough to inherit the REO Speedwagon 8-Track cassette tape that you can see sticking out of the player. BACKGROUND: The Ford Galaxie is a full-sized car that was built in the United States of America by Ford for model years 1959 through to 1974. The name was used for the top models in Ford's full-size range from 1958 until 1961, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race. For 1962, all full-size Fords wore the Galaxie badge, with "500" and "500/XL" denoting the higher series. Ford stated in its sales literature that XL stood for "Xtra Lively." In 1962 the new top-line Galaxie 500 (two-door sedan and hardtop, four-door sedan and hardtop, and "Sunliner" convertible) models offered plusher interiors, more chrome trim outside, and a few additional luxury items over and above what was standard on the plainer Galaxie models. (source: Wikipedia) This particular 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner is now on its third owner and has been in the same family for a significant amount of time. By appearances and testimony, this Galaxie looks to be an original survivor with a number-matching engine and transmission that has never been rebuilt. So, you are looking at something unique and valuable here. One of the things to get very excited about with this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner is how well maintained the interior condition is. The seats and inside door panels have all been tightly fitted with plastic to protect them from wear and damage. The dash is in great shape and does not show any fading or wear. With exception to the temp gauge, all the other gauges show well and function appropriately. As you can witness in the video, the convertible top opens and closes smooth and tight. The exterior body is in good condition. Upon our inspection we didn't notice any disqualifying damage or corrosive rust. The chrome trim is still in good condition, as well as the red body paint; albeit, showing swirls from years of buffing. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For even more information, please call 618-271-3000 or email STL@GatewayClassicCars.com to speak with one of our knowledgeable sales consultants.

1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner

1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 37,830 ( undocumented )

Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this elegant 1961 Ford Galaxie-Sunliner! The 1961 Galaxie was reskinned from the glass house down and lost the distinct look of the 1960 cars. ’61s had mini-fins and signature round Ford taillights. Ford also outsold rival Chevy in ’61; perhaps offering up to 401hp from the factory helped, as people started to once again think in terms of “performance.” The new FE 390 engine was just the ticket. That’s exactly what this one comes with, a 6.4 L – FE 390 and 3-speed on the column. In order for it to be a Sunliner, you must be able to feel the sun and that can easily be done with a flick of switch and power-top option. Another great attribute to these vehicles is just the overall space! Whether trying to take your significant other out for a night on the town or the entire family down to your local burger and malt shop, this vehicle is well suited for either. Careful with the malts& shakes though, as you wouldn’t want to damage any of the beautiful red and white candy cane interior, which is in very good shape throughout. Plenty of eye candy on this sweet ride, but some of my favorite parts without question is the iconic round Ford taillights. To me, they look like “rocket boosters” waiting to ignite and light up the road. If you’re ready to light up the road and have a few necks break as you drive by, then give us a call. To view the 1961 Ford Galaxie-Sunliner in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 383 CID V8
Transmission:
Mileage: 100 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars in Scottsdale, Arizona takes great pride in offering this 1923 Fort T-Bucket Roadster for sale in our showroom. Ford Model T Two-seater Roadsters which had a bucket shaped body were used as the base for the “T-Bucket”, a hot-rodder which were created and named by Norm Grabowski. Grabowski was instrumental in the popularity of the “T-Bucket” by redesigning the car for a character to drive in the TV program “77 Sunset Strip”, which ran from 1958 - 1964. This T-Bucket is sporting a blue paint job with a black vinyl interior. The 383 Stroker motor with its exposed headers is hiding from nobody as it’s the most prominent part of this hot rod. The Turbo 350 transmission sends the power to the over-sized rear wheels through an 8-inch Ford rear end. The entire drivetrain has only 100 miles since its rebuild and is more than ready for the street. The electrical system has been completely replaced from the wiring harness to the fuse block to the ignition switch to the aluminum billet battery tray and cables. The fuel system is brand-new including a new fuel cell, sending unit, new fuel lines all the way down to the fuel gauge. A new auto transmission cooler with new lines, tubes, fittings and adapters has been added to assist the Turbo 350 in its mission to help the horses get to the rear alloy wheels. This road-ready 1923 Ford T-Bucket is for sale and can be seen now at the Scottsdale, Arizona Showroom of Gateway Classic Cars. For additional information or to set up an appointment to make this classic hot rod yours, call Gateway Classic Cars in Scottsdale at (623) 900-4884 or email us at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1931 Ford Model A

1931 Ford Model A

Engine: Flathead 4
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,632 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. To view this 1931 Ford Model A in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
