For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely incredible 1971 Buick GS. This classic GM still contains its original, numbers matching engine, but does have a 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission that was not installed by GM. The engine, originally a 455, now boasts an impressive 494 cubic-inches of raw Buick power which has been align bored and decked. The internals consist of a custom Moldex billet crankshaft, Oliver billet rods, billet main caps, ARP main and head studs, Diamond 10.5:1 pistons, and the entire rotating assembly has been balanced. On top of the “short-block” there is a cool set of TA aluminum cylinder heads which are filled with plenty of goodies as well. Some of the toys include Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam and lifters, chrome moly pushrods, T&D shaft mounted roller rockers, all topped by very attractive TA valve covers. While this I all very impressive, the kicker is, it’s fuel injected! Up top, the electronic fuel injection setup is controlled by a Big Stuff 3 ECM and utilized an Edelbrock intake that was modified for the EFI design. This engine runs like a dream, and is an absolute torque monster. The beautiful music produced by the motor is released from the exhaust ports through TA ceramic coated headers, and feeds into 3-inch Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust. The transmission, a heavy duty 200R4, delivers the power through an aluminum driveshaft with a forged yoke into a bulletproof 9-inch Moser rear differential housing with a posi 3.50:1 gear ratio and Moser HD axles.
The exterior is beautifully done in a silver base / clear coat paint job, with smooth black stripes and spoiler. To make sure the looks last a lifetime, the craftsmen went the extra mile with prep work and took everything down to bare metal prior to hitting the paint booth. The bumpers really shine since they have been re-chromed, and the new convertible top and weather stripping take it to the next level. Hopping in the driver’s seat truly is a treat that one would brag about for a long time to come. Turn the key and feel the rumble, then depress the gas pedal and I challenge you to try not to smile. The pilot can read everything that’s happening under the factory ram air hood through Autometer liquid filled gauges, as well as the factory hood mounted tachometer. Once she’s warmed up and ready to run, tilt the steering column to your likings, shift into drive and grip the custom carbon fiber Grant steering wheel. This recipe may sound like a racecar, but the amenities like the Vintage Air air conditioning system, power windows, power top, and Dynamat sound insulation prove that this is car is much more.
This uniquely built monster could satisfy even the toughest contenders. Options include: Air Conditioning, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, CD, Convertible Top – Auto, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Widow, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Tilt/Telescopic Wheels, Vinyl Interior. This 1971 Buick Riviera is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The name Riviera was actually chosen due to its Latin origin meaning coastline. Buick used this evoke the allure and influence of the French Riviera. Along the years it would have a number of different body styles but the most memorable has to be the “Boat Tail” design of the early 70’s. Designed b y the famous Bill Mitchell and penned by the future lead designer of Nissan Jerry Hirshberg the car would be considered a little too radical by many. Today the classic body lines lend them self to some of the best customs you will ever see. This example, though not a complete custom, has used its paint and a little medal work to give it a one-off look. The silver paint is slick and goes well with the cars lines making it a great base to start with. The custom hand laid graphic going around the middle of the car help to distinguish the body lines. The black on the bottom gives the car a very 3-dimensional look while exaggerating the round styling. The louvers on the trunk are Inside the year only design and define the 71 looks. The original interior is intact and while not in excellent condition it is very nice for its age. The stock gauges look like you’re in the seat of a fighter plane. Under the hood is the original 455 4-barrel big block that gets the car going down the road respectively. The TH400 transmission shifts like it should while not to interrupt that smooth almost floating ride quality. Options on this 1971 Buick Riviera include, AC, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Seats, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts Tilt Wheel, and Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. Engine: 455 CID V8Transmission: 3-Speed AutomaticMileage: 10,000 ( since rebuilt )
Up for sale in Gateway's Houston showroom is this super sweet 1971 Buick Skylark GS tribute car. The Buick Skylark needs no introduction and has been a staple in the classic muscle car scene for many years. There are many out there in the market but this one is particularly clean and cool. Powering this bad Skylark down the road is a time period correct 455 CiD V8 that is factory correct. It features the cold air induction system that is feed through the functional scoops in the hood. These big block Buick engines were notorious for the torque they delivered, and this is sure to provide all the thrills & sounds you would expect from such a powerhouse. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is firm but not harsh, shifts smoothly up & down through the gears. The engine & transmission have both been rebuilt with approx.. 10k miles on them since their installation. Looking at the exterior of the car you will see the car has been repainted in its original color Silver Fern (#41) and it shows very well. It is free from very noticeable scratches, dings, dents, or blemishes. The clear coat shines look great out in the sun! The body is straight & true, and the paint was applied well, and the body panel gaps are parallel with each other and even. The car was restored to retain a more authentic and original look. The car sits on a newer set of American Racing 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in Kumho low profile tires that have plenty of life left in them. Getting into the drivers’ seat of the car you will see a mostly original and authentic restored interior that looks fantastic. Staying true to form with the car, the seats are covered in factory correct light green vinyl trim code #100. The carpet, door panels, headliner, dash, & glass are all in excellent condition. The seats are very comfortable & were obviously re-padded. With no cracks in the dash, no tears in the seats, this car is turn-key ready to go! The car shows very well but drives even better. The suspension has been updated & reconditioned. The doors open & close with ease. The car just drives like a classic should with no surprises. It has an amazing amount of torque off the line and it sounds like a real muscle car should. To see more pictures of this car please follow the link below. The owner has had the brakes serviced (4 wheel drum all 4 corners), new SS exhaust, & more.

For sale in our Houston showroom is a gorgeous 1987 Buick Regal Grand National. By the late 1980s, the muscle car era was done. The gas crisis caused the end of high horsepower V8s and the few domestic muscle cars that remained were so strangled with emissions equipment, that the horsepower ratings were embarrassing. Even the Corvettes of the late 1980s barely squeaked over 200 horsepower. GM made a step in the right direction with their revolutionary Turbocharged V6 Grand National. This 3.8 Liter gem, with the help of its turbocharger churns out 245 horsepower and a massive 355 lb ft of torque. With its 4-speed automatic transmission, his torque monster could rocket the 3500 pound GN to 60 miles per hour in less than 6 seconds and on to finish a 1/4 mile in about 14 seconds. Finished in a sinister gloss black exterior paint, and with gray and black two-tone interior, the GN is a sharp looking beast as well. This one is showing less than 51,800 miles on the odometer and looks great. This car has cold air conditioning and a working heater, power steering and brakes, power windows, power locks, AM/FM radio with a CD player, horn, seat belts, courtesy lights, power seats and even a spare tire. Whether you're a Buick fan, a muscle car historian, or simply a fan of performance cars, a Grand Nation makes a great addition to any collection.
