For sale in our Chicago showroom is this stylish 1964 Ford Galaxie. Being an “X” code, this Galaxie originally had a 352, and now sports a 390 cubic inch V8 backed up to a 3-speed automatic transmission, and this baby is meant to cruise! While the desire for most has always been to get a coupe, sedans are picking up in popularity. This Galaxie, being the hardtop, has the best of both worlds. 4-doors means easy access for friends and family to hop in the back, but it has the slick roofline of a coupe with no B-pillars, making the lines fit the car much cleaner.

Much of this car is what one may call a “survivor,” being that it is in unrestored, original condition. The interior, paint, engine, and transmission are all exactly as Ford had built them in 1964! Having been kept in the same family since new (two registered owners) this car has always been taken care of, and has plenty of life left in it to live! Spin the Ford big block V8 and listen to it purr, ready to cruise at a moments notice! The current owner has been in possession of it for roughly the last 10 years taking the best possible care of it to insure that someday it could be passed on to its next caretaker in great shape and ready to build new memories.

This clean, classic, sporty 1964 Ford Galaxie is ready to become part of the family with you. Options include: Air-Conditioning, AM Radio, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Wide White Walls. 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 26,017 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible. The Thunderbird was introduced as a sporty two seater geared to the luxury crowd. A segment that had been pretty much ignored by American car makers. Starting out as a little 2 seater the car would see the addition a lot of things but rear seats has to be the biggest. This 65 is a great example of why these cars became so loved back then. Even though the car is a bigger car it carries all that sheetmetal nicely and does not appear to big as it really is. The blue paint on the car looks great with the base coat clear coat giving it a whole new depth that could not be achieved back then. The white top just enhances that blue even more. The wide white walls are the perfect match and really put an exclamation point on the build. The hubcaps are a welcomed addition and give it a classic feel. Under the hood is one of Ford’s go to engines an FE big block 390 that sounds amazing. The transmission shifts nicely giving the car a very cruiser feel. Unlatch the 2 hooks and hit the button as the white top comes down giving the car a totally different look. The white leather interior is easily showed off now and is sure to grab attention no matter where you go. If you have been wanting a great running and looking 60’s era convertible with big block power this beauty is the car for you. Receipts are available upon request. Options include, AM/FM Radio, Powered Convertible Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Hub Caps, Leather Interior, Seat Belts and White Wall Radial Tires. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,694 ( since rebuilt )

With just under 2,700 miles on a fresh rebuild this tastefully modified 1965 Mustang is ready to hit the road and cruise! Setting this Mustang apart from rest of the crowd is a custom Shelby style front end and hood, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and lowered stance that really set off the performance feel. Giving it the lowered stance and helping it to out corner its stock counterpart is a set of TCP adjustable coil overs upfront and newer lower leaf springs in the rear. Also helping it to corner is the Flaming River power rack and pinion cradle that was a huge improvement from the factory equipment. The remanufactured 302 cubic inch V8 sitting under the hood has been tuned up to give it that extra power it needed. Modifications include the Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrell carburetor, a mild cam giving it a healthy choppy idle, and a set of Hedman long-tube headers flowing through a full Flowmaster exhaust system. Backing up that small block Ford engine is a built up C4 automatic transmission that shifts crisply between gears. Helping to add to the reliability of this Mustang, it was completely rewired using an American Autowire Mustang harness and an aluminum radiator was installed along with an electric fan to keep it cool. This Mustang has been well sorted out and has a great deal of classy touches throughout. If you are looking for a turn key classic Mustang that can be shown and still driven without worry this is an excellent choice! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Engine: 351 CID V8 2V
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 74,686 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. You can see this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
