Engine: 455 CID H.O V8Transmission: T-10 4-Speed ManualMileage: 57,461 ( actual )
For sale in the Nashville show room is a red hot 1976 Pontiac Trans Am, powering this 1976 Pontiac Trans Am for sale is a 455CID V8 that is tossing power to the ground like beads at a New Orleans festival. Backing this 455Cid V8 is a four speed Manual transmission. This car is the sheer embodiment of 70’s muscle cars with a rumble that and growl that’s fit for a dragstrip and rocket ship, power at the tip of your toes and a force at your fingertip. The exterior color is the famous Buccaneer red that has the classic Trans Am logo across the hood. If you’re over 40 you’ll have a profound appreciation for its look of brute strength and power. If you’re looking to help the world, save emissions and are looking to save the ozone layer this powerful beast of a machine just might be for you! Because you can out run any Prius chasing you. Returning for what was to be its final season (again?) was the optional 455 V8, still labeled in H.O. guise. Once again, the 455 was packaged, including the confidence inducing semi-metallic front brake pads. As a 4-speed manual was still the required transmission with the big motor, California cars were not allowed this combination (nor any other 4-speeds, for that matter). The single exhaust system was unchanged from 1975 and exited through dual tail pipes with chrome splitters. The rear bumper was also covered in a soft urethane with a depression in the center, eliminating the false bumper bar. This theme made the Trans Am a much more complete looking car. The tail lamps were still of body color and stretched from the corner of the rear end to the license plate recess. With all the muscle cars available to you the Trans Am is as American as apple pie and “Sweet Home Alabama.” Features on this 1976 Pontiac Trans Am for sale include: air conditioning, am/fm radio, power steering, Power brakes, horse power, tilt wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires that are wrapping rally wheels to boot and much more. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this ’75 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. Sporting a coat of PPG Buccaneer Red paint, this Formula is one slick ride. Powering this ’75 Firebird is the original 400 cubic inch V8 Pontiac engine and TH350 transmission. Crank the key and hear that 6.6l V8 roar to life, craving pavement. The dual-intake hood gasps for more air while cruising at speed, and adds to the style of the Formula. The 400 cubic inch engine is numbered as an early ’75 model year, making it a stronger block, capable of handling more power, and also being more reliable overall. The later ’75 400 engines had material removed to make the engine lighter for tightening emissions standards. Contrasting nicely with the Buccaneer Red exterior, the white vinyl interior is plush and comfortable. The power windows roll up and down with ease, the headlights illuminate the way, and the radio fills the air with your favorite tunes. Engine: 400Transmission: Turbo Hydromatic 400Mileage: 82,436 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this excellent 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air. This Formula 400 Firebird checks off all the necessary boxes to make this a worthy car for the first time “Muscle Car” purchaser looking to have fun, or the long-time collector looking to add to an existing collection. The first box to be checked off is “appearance”. How appealing does it look? At first glance, the Navajo Orange is an eye catcher and combines well with the beige bucket interior. The front end looks aggressive and sucks you in with dual snorkel functioning “Ram Air” hood. The sleek, bold styling of the car exudes a classy confident attitude. The second box is “performance”. This Firebird performs just as good as it looks. It boasts a 400 cubic inch numbers matching motor, along with a 4-barrel carburetor and “Ram Air” option. All you need to do is step on the gas to awaken the sleeping giant. Power is transferred from the engine through a Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission to a 10 bolt posi-traction rear end which now houses 3.42 gears. The third box is “value”. To some this may be the most important box. How do you determine value or forecast value in a car? There are several factors that affect this category: two of which are already checked off. Let’s think in the terms of supply and demand. In 1973, Pontiac only produced 4,622 Formula 400 cars. Many fell victim to the crusher or salvage yard. Some were torn apart and key authentic components were replaced with non-original parts. Others are parked in non-operating condition and rusted out in a field, barn, or garage. Very few of the 4,622 that were produced made it to 2018 with original equipment that were also kept in prestigious condition. Of the 4,622 Formula 400 vehicles, only 533 had the functioning “Ram Air” hood. Yes, this is one of the 533 born with that very special option. Another factor of determining value is, “can you prove the car is what it is?” Yes, with documentation, VIN, data plate, and number stampings, which this 73 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air has. Lastly, with Camaro’s fetching top tier prices, the focus has turned to what the next “Muscle Car” to ignite is. Buying trends are already showing favorable promise to the second-generation Firebirds. When you take all of this into consideration, this car is a trustworthy investment. Most of all, you can hop in and enjoy cruising it while your investment appreciates. You can place a big check mark in this box! Options include (cold) Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction. Gateway Classic Cars of houston is proud to offer up this extremely beautiful 1976 Pontiac Trans am. Between the classic styling and beautiful paintjob, this car screams late 70's muscle. Under the hood of this sweet ride is a massive 400 CID V8. This engine provides loads of torque and makes these cars very fun to drive. When started up, this beast has a nice and low pitch to it that does a good job of making its presence known without being too loud. When driving, the engine runs smoothly and cruises nicely. When it comes time to let the radial tires eat up the concrete, this baby sure moves in a hurry with plenty of torque and force. Sending all of that power rearward is a three speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Overall the powertrain in this car is very nice and runs well. Moving outward, the exterior is finished in an eye-catching Firethorn red. The paint has just been detailed and is in a very good driver condition. Supporting each corner of this classic muscle car are paint matched rally wheels that are in good condition. Wrapped around those rally wheels are radial tires with good tread life left in them to ensure plenty of grip. Subtly tucked behind the front wheels are disc brakes that ensure proper stopping power. Upon entering this sweet ride, the driver will be greeted by a very clean black interior. The interior features black vinyl seats that are very comfortable and in good condition. Courtesy lights allow for easy entry and exit of the vehicle during night drives. Keeping the interior of this sweet ride at a comfortable temperature all year are functioning heat and AC that blows cold. If the driver ever tires of listening to the big V8, the functioning radio will provide an enjoyable audio experience. Continuing with enjoyable experiences, the driver shan't worry about slow speed maneuvering thanks to power steering and power brakes. Overall the interior of the car is in just as good of condition as the exterior. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super clean 1974 Grand Prix Model J. There is a class of vehicle which is becoming more and more difficult to find: original and unrestored. With the popularity of resto-mods, or complete frame off restorations, there are fewer and fewer survivors out there. This particular 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix is an unrestored car with 54,986 original miles. The engine and trans are original and believed to have never been out of the car. It has the 400 CID V8 and an automatic which run and shift beautifully. The exterior is green which is in surprising great shape for the age of the vehicle. Needless to say, most mid 70s muscle cars have either been wrapped around trees or rusted to pieces. It great to see such a well-preserved piece of Pontiac history. Opening the door is like stepping back in time. The green upholstery is in wonderful condition as is the dash and steering wheel. This was a high line vehicle in the 70s, so it’s loaded with all the goodies: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, and even power windows! Whether you’re a Pontiac collector, or just entering the classic car hobby, this cream puff 1974 Grand Prix Model J would be a great addition to any collection. This 1968 Pontiac GTO is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 68 GTO was brought out as a completely redesigned model with a much more curvaceous body. The styling ques and performance allowed Pontiac to sale over 87000 units that year. Today these cars are still sought after for the same reasons making the GTO one of the most sought-after muscle cars to this day. This green example is one of the few cars that has only had 2 owners in its lifetime. The current owner bought it in 1970 and kept it until now with a copy of the bill of sale included. The paperwork and receipts that come with the car are rather extensive with the original build sheet found under the gas tank are included as well. The green paint is correct to the car with it having a respray done some time ago. The panels are original to the car and are in good condition. The Endura bumper was the major thing that separated the GTO from a Chevelle. This one Under the hood you will find the original 400/350HP engine that still has plenty of power and runs extremely well. The 4-speed transmission shifts out nicely with a great feel on the pedal. The interior is believed to be original to the car and shows no signs of wear. The black vinyl buckets upfront are exactly what you would except in 68. The 4-speed shifter is in a great position to hammer through those gears. Speaking of gears the original rear-end is still intact with the 3.23 gears. Many consider these the perfect mix of acceleration and highway driving. If you have been looking for an exceptionally original car with the documentation showing that is genuine this 68 is the right car for you. Options on this 1968 Pontiac GTO include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires on Custom Wheels.
