Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro SS. For decades the Camaro has been an American Symbol of speed and muscle car performance; this example is no exception.
On offer is a 71 Camaro with a custom Blue paint scheme with silver stripes. Both color codes were borrowed from BMW giving this car a unique and refined finish that nicely juxtaposes the curvy muscular lines of the body. Inside the cabin you’ll be pleasantly greeted with a Black vinyl interior that will transport you back to the muscle car wars of the late 60s and early 70s.
Underneath the hood is a wonderful small block 350 V8 crate engine mounted to the original automatic transmission. When the crate motor was added to the car 20,000 miles ago, the transmission was rebuilt and refreshed to properly balance the new 260HP engine.
If you are looking for a nice classic Camaro that you can show off and feel comfortable driving, then look no further. For more information regarding this American Classic contact the Chicago Showroom at 708-444-4488 or email us at Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. This awesome 1973 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The second generation of GM’s Pony car was released in the spring of 1970 as a 70 Model. They were an instant hit with the public due to their great fastback styling and the endless list of options. They were not highly sought-after cars in the collector car market until recently. Now they have almost a cult like following with the 70-73 models being the most desirable. This example has had quite a bit of work done in order to bring it to its current condition. Receipts show that the build began back in late 2007 with the majority of the work being completed in the next 2 years. We will start with the body of this beauty which appears to have had both front fenders replaced. With the fitment of the doors and hood being well with in 73 standards the car was then painted. The dark blue is very similar to the iconic Admiral blue which shows off the lines of the Camaro nicely. The white racing stripes going over the hood and trunk lid add to the stock look and compliment the Blue nicely. Sealed in with a couple coats of clear the paint not only looks great but has that added layer of protection. The interior of the car has been taken back to its former glory with the black vinyl buckets upfront being classic 70’s Camaro. The B&M Ratchet style shifter is a nice touch, but I prefer just simply dropping it down in D but is nice to have the option. Under the hood is a very healthy small block 350 giving the car plenty of power. Consisting of your typical go-fast parts such as the huge 4-barrel Edelbrock Carb and matching intake this thing is classic muscle at its best. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with a mash of the gas second gear comes rather quickly with a firm shift. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power getting pout down to the pavement with out any worries. The 4-wheel disc brakes get this second-generation Camaro slowed down in a hurry. If you have been looking for a split bumper that is fun to drive, gets everyone’s attention, and don’t cost an arm and a leg this Blue beauty is the one. Options on this 1973 Chevrolet Camaro include; AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. The Trans-Am battles for which the Z/28 cars were built need no introduction, but the cars themselves remain somewhat unique in the world of collectable automobiles. Not quite race cars, but equipped with some serious performance hardware. The Z/28 option was a popular option in 1969 due perhaps to the fact of the race-ready hardware. Finding an intact Z/28 that hasn't been abused and thrashed is an exceptionally difficult task. This one is most certainly as nice as they come and has been authenticated by Larry Christensen as a true RS Z28 car. During the meticulous nut and bolt restoration, this Camaro was resprayed in a gorgeous Hugger Orange that fits this car very well. While this car is exceptional in every way, it is the little items that will escape your notice and make it truly remarkable. For example the original trim tag has never been removed from the body adding to the authenticity of this rare piece of American history. In short, this car is as close to the way the factory made it as possible. Of course, at this level, things like the chrome and stainless have been professionally refinished. Badges and emblems, including the Z/28 badges on the front fenders and the '302' badges on either side of the cowl induction hood, are either exact duplicates of the originals, or perfectly preserved NOS items. The Rally Sport Package being added brings along the concealed headlights, special grille, wheel opening moldings and bright exterior accents. Under the hood sits the DZ 302 cubic inch V8 that is the basis for this car being such a sought-after piece of classic car history. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications and remains in show condition today. The paint on the block and heads is crisp and clean, the satin black air cleaner wears the correct decals, and the spark plug wires are accurate reproductions. Even the unique exhaust manifolds look like they've just popped out of the molds and show no signs of heat cycling or corrosion. Looking underneath this beauty, the chassis tells the same story of attention to detail. Transferring the power to the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end is a Muncie M-22 close ratio 4-Speed manual transmission that not only shifts great but really makes you feel one with this machine while you are behind the wheel. If you are lucky enough to sit in the interior of this Camaro you will appreciate the fit and feel of the like new hounds tooth interior. Helping this car sounds like it should is the chambered exhaust system that has a very tame idle but when you roll on the accelerator pedal it lets others know you mean business. Wheels are, of course, the timeless 15-inch Chevy Rallyes with correct Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply tires. Engine: 434 CID V8Transmission: 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 703 ( since rebuilt )
The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a NEW 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine that starts out with a Dart little M block with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. Only 700 miles have been put on this engine so it has tons of life left and is just starting to come to life! No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. And last but not least this car comes with ALL of the original parts that have been upgraded or replaced during the restoration. This includes but is not limited to the numbers matching 350 V8, Air Conditioning setup, power steering as well as the 3.31 gears that were replaced wit the 4.10s. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 69 Camaro to many people is the ultimate pony car. Though the lines of the 69 Camaro are amazing the paint is what really defines the car. Most people will say the perfect color combo on these cars is Hugger Orange with white racing stripes. The effect it has is priceless and will leave enthusiasts thinking about it for many days ahead. This example is what most people think of when you say 69 Camaro right down to the hideaway headlights. The hugger orange paint gives the car that wow factor while the white stripes make it appear that much brighter. Upfront the hideaway headlights from the RS package, which were added on, work. When not in use the doors are closed cleaning up the front of the car giving it a very sleek look. Once the sun goes down and the lights come on the doors tuck away and reveal the original style headlights. Under the hood is where the fun really begins with the massive 454 big block taking up almost every square inch under the hood. A simple turn of the key and the monster of a V8 comes to life. The 4-speed transmission is nice and tight making this 69 Camaro an absolute blast to drive. The black interior is clean and fresh with the bucket seats giving the car that true pony car feel. Drop the clutch and the Posi-rear end is sure to leave 2 nasty black marks down the road if that’s your sort of thing. If you have been wanting a car that will get attention in the middle of a crowded car show or have everyone on the sidewalk do a double take as you cruise by this is the 69 for you. Options on this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Tribute is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/LOU/1964/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-RS. Engine: Inline 6Transmission: PowerGlide 2-Speed Automatic Mileage: 39,483 ( actual )
For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a low mile 1961 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sports Coupe. This 61’ Bel Air has been in the same family since it was bought new in 1961. It was parked in 1967 with 32,000 miles on the odometer. Over the next 18 years the car was driven just 4,000 miles, and in 1985 it was purchased by the current owner, the grandson of the original buyer. In the mid-80’s the Bel Air received a refreshed coat of paint on the bottom half of the car of the original Sea Mist Turquoise. Other than the respray, the car is original and maintains the survivor status. The vinyl interior features light and dark shades of green. The vinyl upholstery is original and not perfect but does show well considering its age of almost 60 years. The dash is no nonsense and to the point, it matches the color of the upholstery nicely. The original inline 6-cylinder engine still powers this old Bel Air and is mated to the original 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The odometer reads 39,423, which represents the actual mileage on the car! Options for this 1961 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sports Coupe include: Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hub Caps, and White Wall Radial Tires. This 61’ Bel Air would be a perfect candidate for a Pro Touring setup with a fuel injected V8 and modern transmission, or it would be just fine for someone to enjoy as it is and appreciate the survivor qualities it brings to the show.
