The engine has braided lines and a new power brake booster. Along with this, it has Thorley Headers and an MSD distributor and plug wires. Inside this beauty it has a clean black vinyl interior with a beautiful wood steering wheel. The center console has is fitted with a horseshoe shifter and an updated indicator to support the upgraded overdrive transmission and second center console with cup holders. Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to offer this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 Pace Car Coupe! First, some history of the Z10, as excerpted from Chapter 12 of "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book" by John R. Hooper. PACE CAR HARDTOP - THE Z10 COUPE "Since 1969, the controversy over a Pace Car hardtop has existed. For many years, hobbyists and other so-called experts had different opinions on the existence of these cars. Finally, after many years the truth has come out. Yes, the Z10 Camaro does exist. It is thanks to the many Camaro clubs and enthusiasts whose efforts have brought the facts about these cars to light. The basic Z10 package has Rally Sport and Super Sport equipment, code 50-50 paint, cowl induction hood, and 396 or 350 cubic inch V8 engine. The transmission combinations from the automatic to the four-speeds were the same as the Pace Car convertibles. Most of the Z10 cars had factory air conditioning. Any option that was available for the Z11 Pace Car convertible was also available on the Z10. Different interiors used on the hardtop version consisted of 711 black standard, 712 black custom, 713 black houndstooth, 727 ivory standard, and 729 ivory houndstooth. It is rumored that interior 720 orange houndstooth could also be ordered. Some of the options used were rosewood steering wheel, tilt steering column, fold down rear seat, a factory 3-speed transmission with console on the floor, vinyl roof cover, among others. The Z10 cars were a Southwestern Regional promotional car offered to a small number of dealerships in the Southwestern Branch Zone Office during Indy race time. We know now that they were available in Texas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Arizona, and possibly other states. We may never know exactly how many were built, however we believe it to be between 200 and 300 built at Norwood. There were no records kept at Chevrolet Motor Division's offices. Since this was a one-time promotion, the customer did not have a chance to order the car but had to buy it off the dealer's lot. The Z10's appear to have been built between 04C (third week of April) to 05A (first of May) -- possibly longer...While these cars do not compare in rarity with COPO or ZL-1 cars, they still hold a place 1969 Camaro history." Now - about the one we have: like all Z10 Camaros, it is wearing a glistening coat of Dover white, with contrasting Hugger Orange stripes. This one shows a date code of 05A, designating a build date of the 1st week of May, 1969. Under the hood is a 350 CID V8 (300HP), one of the two available engine options for the Z10. The mighty mouse is mated to a smooth shifting Muncie 4 speed manual, which sends the twist to the 12 bolt rear end. Twist the ignition key, and it fires right up into a nice rich burble, sound aided by the addition of some Hooker Competition headers that funnel the exhaust into a well-executed dual exhaust with FloMaster mufflers. Ease it into first, and mash the gas, and you'll remember why you loved these cars so much! While you're cruising, flick on the A/C to keep cool - the system has been upgraded with a new R134 compressor, so it's easily serviceable by any shop. When it's time to get the speed down from the quickly-reached triple digit territory, the front discs are up to the task. Inside, you'll see that the rich black interior looks almost new, with its synthetic leather seating and carpet virtually devoid of any signes of use. The addition of an Autogage cluster by AutoMeter helps the driver keep tabs on critical operating conditions, and the Sunpro Supertach II tach aids in hitting those shift points. Why not own one of these rare pieces of history, before they're all gone?! Options on this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 include A/C, AM Radio, 711 Trim Code Black Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Rallye Wheels with beauty rings, and Seat Belts. This Camaro is powered by a 396 Greg Caletti, of NASCAR fame Motor with 4 speed manual transmission and a Ford rear. The fantastic custom Cherry finish, with a boat load of metal flake was applied three years ago as well and looks great. This Camaro is equipped with power steering and brakes which have been upgraded with Willwood hardware. The interior is all new with updated gauges and stereo. The gauges appear to be vintage. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Engine: 434 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 703 ( since rebuilt )

The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a NEW 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine that starts out with a Dart little M block with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. Only 700 miles have been put on this engine so it has tons of life left and is just starting to come to life! No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. And last but not least this car comes with ALL of the original parts that have been upgraded or replaced during the restoration. This includes but is not limited to the numbers matching 350 V8, Air Conditioning setup, power steering as well as the 3.31 gears that were replaced wit the 4.10s. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 74,677 ( undocumented )

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 69 Camaro to many people is the ultimate pony car. Though the lines of the 69 Camaro are amazing the paint is what really defines the car. Most people will say the perfect color combo on these cars is Hugger Orange with white racing stripes. The effect it has is priceless and will leave enthusiasts thinking about it for many days ahead. This example is what most people think of when you say 69 Camaro right down to the hideaway headlights. The hugger orange paint gives the car that wow factor while the white stripes make it appear that much brighter. Upfront the hideaway headlights from the RS package, which were added on, work. When not in use the doors are closed cleaning up the front of the car giving it a very sleek look. Once the sun goes down and the lights come on the doors tuck away and reveal the original style headlights. Under the hood is where the fun really begins with the massive 454 big block taking up almost every square inch under the hood. A simple turn of the key and the monster of a V8 comes to life. The 4-speed transmission is nice and tight making this 69 Camaro an absolute blast to drive. The black interior is clean and fresh with the bucket seats giving the car that true pony car feel. Drop the clutch and the Posi-rear end is sure to leave 2 nasty black marks down the road if that’s your sort of thing. If you have been wanting a car that will get attention in the middle of a crowded car show or have everyone on the sidewalk do a double take as you cruise by this is the 69 for you. Options on this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Tribute is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/LOU/1964/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-RS. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 53,920 ( undocumented )

The Trans-Am battles for which the Z/28 cars were built need no introduction, but the cars themselves remain somewhat unique in the world of collectable automobiles. Not quite race cars, but equipped with some serious performance hardware. The Z/28 option was a popular option in 1969 due perhaps to the fact of the race-ready hardware. Finding an intact Z/28 that hasn't been abused and thrashed is an exceptionally difficult task. This one is most certainly as nice as they come and has been authenticated by Larry Christensen as a true RS Z28 car. During the meticulous nut and bolt restoration, this Camaro was resprayed in a gorgeous Hugger Orange that fits this car very well. While this car is exceptional in every way, it is the little items that will escape your notice and make it truly remarkable. For example the original trim tag has never been removed from the body adding to the authenticity of this rare piece of American history. In short, this car is as close to the way the factory made it as possible. Of course, at this level, things like the chrome and stainless have been professionally refinished. Badges and emblems, including the Z/28 badges on the front fenders and the '302' badges on either side of the cowl induction hood, are either exact duplicates of the originals, or perfectly preserved NOS items. The Rally Sport Package being added brings along the concealed headlights, special grille, wheel opening moldings and bright exterior accents. Under the hood sits the DZ 302 cubic inch V8 that is the basis for this car being such a sought-after piece of classic car history. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications and remains in show condition today. The paint on the block and heads is crisp and clean, the satin black air cleaner wears the correct decals, and the spark plug wires are accurate reproductions. Even the unique exhaust manifolds look like they've just popped out of the molds and show no signs of heat cycling or corrosion. Looking underneath this beauty, the chassis tells the same story of attention to detail. Transferring the power to the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end is a Muncie M-22 close ratio 4-Speed manual transmission that not only shifts great but really makes you feel one with this machine while you are behind the wheel. If you are lucky enough to sit in the interior of this Camaro you will appreciate the fit and feel of the like new hounds tooth interior. Helping this car sounds like it should is the chambered exhaust system that has a very tame idle but when you roll on the accelerator pedal it lets others know you mean business. Wheels are, of course, the timeless 15-inch Chevy Rallyes with correct Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply tires. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 7,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. 1979 Chevrolet Corvette

1979 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8 Crate Engine
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 61,265 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a gloss black 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. The gloss black paint was sprayed 5 years ago in a 2-stage enamel and clear application. The oyster in color cloth interior has been upgraded by way of black leather bolsters in the seats and woodgrain trim on the console. A rack and pinion steering setup and coil over shocks in the rear help this Corvette handle better than it did when new. A Crate 350 CID V8 was installed 6 years ago and runs strong! The V8 engine features alloy valve covers, Edlebrock aluminum intake, a Holley fuel injection setup, and a D.U.I. distributor. An aluminum radiator has been employed to keep this Crate 350 cool on hot days. A rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission was installed 3 years ago and shifts the power beautifully to the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) with 3.08 gears. The odometer reads 61,265, which represents the actual mileage on the car, and approximately 25,000 on the Crate V8 engine. Options for this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Dropping a more powerful V8 engine is a very popular thing to do to a late C3 Corvette and should not be frowned upon by the purist. The original power output was certainly not Corvette worthy. This is a great example of a driver quality Corvette that is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner for years to come. To view this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
