Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this quintessential example of a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe! The Ford Mustang was introduced unto the world on April 17th, 1964. The Mustang, conceptualized from the already popular Ford Falcon, provided the American working-class with a chance to own a modest sports car with a modest price tag, all without sacrificing overall enjoyment or amenities.

Shortly after beginning production in mid-1964, the Mustang underwent extreme body modifications every couple of years, the first small tweak is seen here with this 1967. The 1967 and 1968 models were elongated by a few inches, with modifications to the car taking place in the front nose, as well as the sharpening of the body lines along the sides, while the rear taillight panel would now present itself with an indention, rather than a protrusion. Smaller, underpowered 8 cylinder motors were now offered with larger displacement than the first two production years, as well as more horsepower, and more amenities (such as back up lights).

Upon decoding the VIN and datacode plate, we find that this particular C-Code 1967 (original 289cid v8 2bbl) was birthed in the San Jose plant before being shipped to Seattle for sale. An additional comfort that we find in this decoding of the Mustang is that this 1967 was Candy Apple Red from the factory, as well as adorned with black buckets, making her trim-code matching and very period-correct.

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod

Engine: 398 CID V8 Stroker
Transmission: Tremec 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,518 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a unicorn of sorts. This one though is quite a unique unicorn. In fact if you Google “Blue Eleanor” this car is what you will find. A 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that started life as a 390 CID car, many many hands were involved in making this dream a reality. The body work was done by Desert Mustangs in Scottsdale AZ. She has made the circuits and was sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2006 and then underwent many thousands of dollars worth of work on the drivetrain to make this monster work in real life. So now the engine is a fully built bored and stroked 398 CID V8 that started as a 351 Cleveland. All of the supporting parts are top notch and support the 575 horsepower this engine creates. There are some cool tricks too. The custom exhaust is very muted until you flip the switch on the center console that opens the exhaust, the car then sings a very different tune. The neighbors will not be very happy with you running through the neighborhood banging through the T56 six speed transmission. All of this is backed by a Ford 9 inch rear differential with 3.89:1 gears and locking differential. No she isn’t a one trick pony either, ac makes driving in any area or time of year comfortable, power steering and power brakes make it all buttery smooth for driving. And please don’t think she is just a show pony either, she did 167 mph in a half mile runway race recently. For all of this shock and awe this is a well sorted car with just the right options that include AC, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels. 1968 Ford Mustang

1968 Ford Mustang

Engine: 428 Big Block
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 184 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this excellent 1968 Ford Mustang GT. The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was initially introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale in August 1964. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power. The 1971 model saw a drastic redesign to its predecessors. After an initial surge, sales were steadily declining, as Ford began working on a new generation Mustang. With the onset of the 1973 oil crisis, Ford was prepared, having already designed the smaller Mustang II for the 1974 model year. This new car had no common components with preceding models. This car has recently finished its restoration with only 185 miles since being a finished project. The car originally came from California and is an actual GT from the factory. It has been repainted to the Highland Green with a stylish black stripe painted on the hood. This car has had the original set up and 302 replaced with a 428, 4 speed manual, Ford 9” rear end, and has a 3.73 gearing. The Ram Air hood is functional and adds an aggressive stylish look to this 1st generation Mustang GT. This GT has many upgrades including a digital dash, custom wheels, and even comes with a Marti Report. The suspension has been lowered with Shelby suspension for a more aggressive look. If you want to add something light, fast, with a professional quality build than this is the Gen 1 Mustang for you.
