It’s 1977, Atari is released in North America, the first Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope premieres on May 25th, and this cool red 1977 Blazer rolls off the assembly line. Since than she has undergone a radical transformation. Starting with: 454 CID crate motor with less than 5,000 miles, rebuild 3-speed auto, rear quarters replaced with fiberglass Chevy dually panels, custom red and black interior, tonneau cover new paint in 2010, new Kenwood deck and sound system. Definitely one of kind truck that is sure to turn heads anywhere you go.

The K5 Blazer was the smallest full size SUV version of the Chevrolet C/K family. Introduced to the Chevrolet line in 1969, the full-size Blazer was replaced in 1995 by the Chevrolet Tahoe. In 1970, GMC introduced its own model of the truck, called the Jimmy, which was discontinued in 1991 and replaced by the GMC Yukon in 1993. Both were based on the short wheelbase trucks and were available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The Blazer's long wheelbase relative (with an integrated rear body, and doors for 2nd row passengers) is known as the Chevrolet Suburban. The "Jimmy" name was chosen to reflect the GMmy sound in a similar manner in how Jeep was a pronunciation of GP in the competing market.

The K5 Blazer and Jimmy had "full convertible" removable tops until 1975. In 1976, GM introduced a half-cab design that was less prone to leaks and slightly safer in a roll-over. These half cabs are convertible starting at a few inches behind the driver/passenger doors all the way back to the tailgate.

1978 Chevrolet K10

1978 Chevrolet K10

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 4,424 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a cherry little 1978 Chevrolet K10 4x4. Modern trucks have become turned into glorified luxury cars with a bed in the back. With leather seats, 22” wheels, and TV screens, new trucks just don’t have the rugged feel that you can only get in a vintage truck. This 1978 Chevrolet K10 Scottsdale has all the right stuff. To start off, this is a single cab, short step side bed. Some would argue this is the sportiest look for an old truck, but most would agree, it’s an awesome vintage look. The body of this K10 has been nicely painted in bright blue with suits it well. To complete the look, it has the right rally style wheels with 4x4 center caps in the rear, and manual hubs in the front. Of course, these wear some all-terrain tires with raised white letters. Hop up inside this beaut, and the factory bench has been swapped out for some much more comfortable bucket seats which are great for cruising around town but would also work well when driving off road. A center console has been added to house your things and a few cold drinks. The dash remains mostly stock save for the addition of a column mounted tachometer. It’s nice to have a tach, because this gem is a 4 speed! Whether you’re more interested in ripping around town, or using 4x4 and doing some rock crawling, a 4 speed has got to be the best choice. Under the hood is a tried and true 350 CID Chevy small block. With power steering and power brakes, it has all the equipment you need, without too much to go wrong. Without a doubt, a good old Chevy truck won’t let you down. You can see this awesome 1978 Chevrolet K10 4x4 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Milwaukee is excited to have this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette here it is a beautiful Silver color with white leather interior. It features a 350ci motor backed by a 4 speed transmission. This is a numbers matching original vehicle in excellent condition. It features power steering, power brakes, T-tops, rally wheels, and raised white letter tires. 1978 was the Corvette's twenty fifth anniversary, and all 78's featured silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. A new fastback rear window was the most dramatic and noticeable styling change, giving the ten-year-old C3 Corvette body style a fresh lease on life. The fixed-glass fastback benefited both aerodynamics and increased the usable luggage space behind the seats while improving rearward visibility in the bargain. A shade was installed that could be pulled forward to cover the rear compartment to protect cargo and carpet against the unrelenting sun. The tachometer and speedometer were redesigned to match the new “aircraft styled” center console and gauge cluster first seen the previous year. Redesigned interior door panels were also new as well as an actual glove box was added in front of the passenger seat, replacing the map pockets of previous years. Available options now included power door locks, a power antenna, dual rear speakers and a CB radio.[5]The optional convenience group, introduced the previous year, now included intermittent (delay) wipers, floor mats, and the passenger side vanity mirror was an upgraded illuminated unit. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom.
