Up for sale in our Detroit Showroom is a 1964 Dodge Gasser! A gasser is a type of hot rod originating on the dragstrips all around the United States in the late 1950s and continued until the early 1970s. In the days before Pro Stock, the A/Gas cars were the fastest stock-appearing racers around. Gassers are based on closed body production models from the 1930s to mid-1960s, which have been stripped of extraneous weight and jacked up using a beam axle or tubular axle to provide better weight distribution on acceleration though a raised stock front suspension is common as well. This Gasser hasn’t had much weight reduction done because the 528 Hemi paired to the 727 Torque-Flight Transmission pull their weight just fine. This dominant duo has less than 3,000 miles on the build and can rip pavement apart with one stab of the gas pedal. From a dead stop, the 8 ¾ rear end with a 4:10 gear launch you forward like every strip of pavement is a dragstrip. The paint on this Gasser looks amazing and is called Hot Hughes Blazing Copper. The interior is a very clean and factory looking Onyx Black vinyl with a B&M shifter that provides great comfort while manning this machine. This awesome 1963 Dodge 330 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 330 was Dodge’s full-size car for 62-64 and was based on the B-body. Available with anything from the slant six to the monstrous 426 there was a 330 to fit anyone’s needs. The one that garnered the most attention was of course the Max Wedge. A monstrous 426 cubic with a cross ram style intake and 2 4 barrels sitting on top it was intimidating just to look at. Made in very limited numbers they are prized and sought after today. This beauty is one of those sought-after cars making it an extremely rare find. The engine powering this full on drag car is a 440 with wedge heads and that sought after cross ram intake. Built using a 1967 440 Block this engine is putting out quite a bit more power than the original one. The 426 Ramcharger heads have been worked over giving this beast an unbelievable amount of torque. The 727 Torque flight transmission has been built to handle all that power and still retains the push button transmission. The Dana 60 rear end has been stuffed with a set of 5.13 gears allowing for unbelievable off the line acceleration. With the spool locking up both axles this car was built to go straight. The huge 32 15 Goodyear slicks are exactly what you need to get this monster to hook up. The car has had one repaint back to its original red color and even though it was 40 years ago it still shows very well. The fiberglass rear bumper helps to shave some weight off while retaining the factory look. Inside is what you would expect in a drag car with just a seat for the driver. The cage while built for safety also makes the car more ridged. The Lexan windows are fixed in place and help to shave weight. This 1966 Dodge Coronet convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Cornet was released in the 49 lines up as MOPAr5’s first postwar body style. It would go through many different renditions throughout its 30+ years but the most memorable has to be the 5th generation line up. This example was a frame off restoration with a build book that documents the progress. Taken down to bare metal and starting from there it was painted back to its original color. The convertible top was redone as well with the black vinyl still being in excellent condition. Hit the button and watch as the she folds down exposing that beautiful blue sky Under the hood is the original numbers matching 318 which was rebuilt during the build as well. The 727 had the same attention shown, gone through and built back to factory spec. The interior in the car was redone at the same time with the bench being covered in black vinyl which shows great on this car. The factory AC is a great touch and an option rarely seen on Mopar’s especially convertibles. The original hubcaps are a great touch and give it that original look with the newer style radial tires giving it a better feel of the road. The Dodge Polara was an automobile introduced in the United States for the 1960 model year as Dodge's top-of-the-line full-size car; after the introduction of the Dodge Custom 880 in 1962, the Polara nameplate designated a step below the full sized best trimmed Dodge model; the Polara that year had been downsized to what was in effect intermediate, or mid-size status. In its various forms, the Polara name was used by Dodge until 1973, when its position in Dodge's line-up was replaced by the Dodge Monaco. The name Polara is a reference to the Polaris star, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race during the early 1960s. The Polara was a competitor to the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Chevrolet Impala. The 1964 models received a revised front end and new tail lamps to distinguish them from the 1963 cars. Rear end treatment took its inspiration from the Chevrolet Impala, the Polara models now featuring six small, square-shaped taillights (three on each side) surrounded by an attractive bright trim panel. Lesser mid-size Dodges featured only four taillights (two on each side) and lacked the bright trim panel. A sensational new "C" pillar for the hardtop coupes, combined with the more attractive front and rear end styling, made the '64s look totally new (and longer/ lower/wider as well), resulting in a significant increase of sales over 1963. The Polara 500 continued as Dodge's sporty mid-size model, competing with the full-size Ford Galaxie 500/XL and Chevrolet's Impala Super Sport, featuring an engine-turned anodized aluminum trim strip along the car's flanks, bucket seats and deluxe vinyl upholstery. This 1964 Dodge Polara is equipped with a 440ci Max wedge motor sporting two huge carbs and uses a 727 torqueflight transmission and a suregrip rear end to put the power to the pavement. This stunning Dodge Dart 330 has been meticulously maintained over the years and only has 50,534 original miles! All original interior and the rare 413 CID Golden Lion V8 topped with dual four-barrel carburetors’ sitting under the hood is backed by a push button Torque-flite automatic transmission. The Seneca, Pioneer, and Phoenix trim levels were dropped; trim levels became Dart, Dart 330, and Dart 440. The Polara 500, offered in 2-door hardtop, 4-door hardtop, and convertible styles, was dimensionally identical but not officially a Dart by dint of its "Polara 500" badging. The Polara 500 was not built or sold in Canada, and the Dart models were the same as in the U.S. except that the base model was badged Dart 220. The 1962 Dart, like the Plymouth, was on a new lightweight unibody "B" platform, featuring Chrysler's well-received "Torsion-Aire" torsion bar front suspension and asymmetric rear leaf springs. The rigidity gained through the nearly pure unibody platform combined with the suspension's low unsprang weight and near-ideal geometry provided sound handling, braking, and acceleration; the latter especially with the mid-year 415 HP "Ramcharger" 413 CID V8 which was aimed primarily at sanctioned drag racing, where it quickly broke performance records. This is the car you want if you’re looking for comfort, style and big Hemi power. The Coronet reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body car using a 117 inche wheel base. When reintroduced in this 5th generation it was the biggest selling vehicle Dodge made that year! This is the 2-door hardtop version of the car which is one of the most desirable of the period. In 1966 Coronet received a redesign and you started to be able to get the 426 hemi as an option. The 440 Magnum that was in the R/T produced 375hp but the 426 Hemi pushed out a whopping 425hp! An incredible powerplant that has to be driven to truly appreciate. This is a numbers matching vehicle that even has the blue stripe tires that were only available from Mopar, only available for the Hemi and only available in 1966! Super rare stuff we are talking about here. This engine and transmission were rebuilt 27,000 miles ago when the car just went over 100,000 miles. The 426 Hemi goes through the factory automatic transmission and ends up at the 3.08 limited slip rear end. The exterior is a beautiful red color which looks excellent with the white vinyl interior. Features include an AM radio, spare tire, power brakes, power steering, jack and a spare tire. Rally whiles and the blue stripe bias ply tires really set the car off nicely. This 1962 Dodge Max Wedge Tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 62 Line up for Dodge had there own defined look making them highly collectible today. With there 413 CI engine and massive cross ram intakes were literally taking the strips by storm. This example is sure to briong you back to thos magical days when Dodge pretty much owned the drag strips. Start with the black paint which is slick while showing off those one of a kind lines.The multiple coats of clear laid on top gives it not only a mirror finish but almost a 3D look.
