Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this awesome Ford Falcon from 1963. This was the final year for the first generation of the North American Falcon. This Falcon is powered by the inline 6 cylinder Mileage Maker engine that Ford designed to achieve a staggering 30mpg! The Falcon went on to be the basis for which the legendary Mustang was based. The Falcon Sprint was a limited production version of the Falcon which was nearly mechanically identical to the 1964 ½ Mustang. With a length of 181 inches and a wheelbase of 109.5, the Falcon was one of Ford’s smaller vehicles. Construction was unibody and suspension was fairly standard with coil springs in the front and lead springs in the rear. Brakes were drums all around and a the two-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission was an additional option from the 3-speed manual that was the base transmission. The market shift which spurred the development of the Falcon and it’s competitors also precipitated the demise of several well-established marques in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Edsel, Nash, Hudson, DeSoto and Packard nameplates all disappeared from the marketplace. Robert McNamara, a Ford executive who became Ford's president briefly before being offered the job of U.S. Defense Secretary, is regarded by many as "the father of the Falcon". McNamara left Ford shortly after the Falcon's introduction, but his faith in the concept was vindicated with record sales; over half a million sold in the first year and over a million sold by the end of the second year. This is a survivor car and should be appreciated as such. It hasn’t been modernized like many have been. You will find an AM radio, hub caps and radial tires. You will be pleased to know that the headlights, brights, turn signals, parking lights, reverse lights, wipers, brake lights, gauges, radio, heat and horn all work! Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a very unique 1962 Ford Econoline Van. This ’62 Ford Econoline is one of the coolest van’s rolling down the road and with its recent restoration, you can be sure it’s got a lot of road life left. At first glance, the Glazier Blue paint looks absolutely amazing and has a showroom shine to match the rest of the Econoline’s qualities. The potent 140ci 6 cylinder is backed by a Green Dot C4 Transmission with less than 50 miles on the rebuild. Seller states the van was used as a flower delivery van for most of its life in California. With low original mileage, this was the best slate for a nice restoration. The interior speaks for itself and is very welcoming. Not only is it comfortable but it has more than enough for the grandkids or some friends to hang out in the back when having a family BBQ or a beach night with the gang. The chrome shines bright and with newer wheels and tires, this one has a comfortable ride with a great stance. The driving experience is very memorable and easy to get used too. If you are looking for the ultimate beach cruiser, this is definitely one to consider. This beautiful 'bird from a long-ago era known as the "Jet Age" definitely makes a statement, whether it's sitting still or in motion. The interior has new seat covers, new seat foam, new carpet. The car has power windows, an AM radio, tilt steering column, power brakes, real wire wheels. The Tampa Showroom is offering this 1963 Ford Thunderbird for sale. A bullet bird, how cool is this ride! This Thunderbird has a 390ci V-8 with an automatic transmission. The T-bird has a newer top and the interior has been lifted from the old to the new with carpet an, seats, and door panels. The newer paint looks very good and this bullet is ready for the road. During the build, new brakes, gas tank & lines, transmission serviced, a new Holly carburetor, driveshaft balanced, trunk mat kit, master cylinders, power booster, and multiple trim pieces. Heads have been hardened to accept regular gasoline. This bird comes with a cover, extra rear bumpers, original heads, carburetor, and fuel pump. All this work was completed 2012 and with only 535 miles put on the odometer since the build. The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models. Sales were strong, if not quite up to record-breaking 1960, at 73,051 including 10,516 convertibles. A new, larger 390 cu in 6.4 L FE-series V8 was the only engine available in 1961. The Thunderbird was 1961's Indianapolis 500 pace car, and featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably aided by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. It shared some styling cues with the much smaller European Ford Corsair. Changes for 1963 were relatively mild. Some additions to the option list included vacuum assisted door locks and an AM/FM radio; an AM radio and a remote driver's side mirror became standard. Options include: Power Brakes, AM radio, Hub Caps, Power steering, power top, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, radial tires, power windows, . For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Flamingo Pink 1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This T-Bird underwent an extensive restoration in the mid 1990’s and still shows very well. The restoration performed was one that honored the originality of the classic Thunderbird. The paint and interior colors remain the same from factory. The exterior is painted in a great looking Flamingo Pink and the interior including the vinyl upholstery is all white. The white vinyl top provides a beautiful look while in use. The paint has aged very well and has plenty of shine left. The brightwork does show a bit of age in some areas, a little pitting can be seen here and there. The vinyl interior also shows minor wear in a few areas, along with some of the plastic pieces, but does present well. All in all, considering the age of the restoration, this is a fine example of a driver quality 59’ Thunderbird Convertible. Under the hood you will find a 352 CID 4BBL V8 engine that is mated to a Cruise-o-Matic 3-spd auto transmission. Both the engine and transmission are believed to be original to the car. According to the VIN, this 352 V8 was rated at 300 horsepower, and the car was built at the Wixon, Michigan plant. Options for this 1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible include: Air Conditioning (inoperable), AM Radio (inoperable), Vinyl Interior, Automatic Convertible Top, Seat Belts, Power Seats, Power Steering, Wide White Walls Bias Ply Tires, and Wire Wheels. This Flamingo Pink T-Bird is ready for a new home, and new owners to enjoy it at a local show or on a long cruise to nowhere. For sale in our Nashville showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane. A mid-year model crossover, the '59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows you'll often find patrons arguing whether it's a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. Continuing the Fairlane's roll as Ford's full-sized sedan, they had various options in various trims. This particular Fairlane being a two-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular '59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 292 Y-block engine. It's since been replaced with the more modern 5.0 liter (302 cubic inch) small block Ford V8. With performance goodies like headers and dual exhaust, this small block Ford rumbles and pushes this 1959 Ford Fairlane for sale along with ease. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic transmission. Built for easy cruising, this 1959 Ford for sale is eager to take a trip down to local show or drive in movie! The exterior is a mild custom, with a two-tone black and silver paint scheme. With fins and chrome like the epitome of any late 50s cruiser, this Fairlane for sale has looks for days! With black painted "steelies" adorned with baby moons and beauty rings, wrapped in Goodyear radial tires, this car has a real 50s hot rod look. The interior is no different, with silver and gray vinyl interior. With benches both front and back, this car has plenty of room for you and a group of your friends and family. It's a real "drive-in special." A $237.37 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.
