1968 Ford Mustang Fastback

1968 Ford Mustang Fastback

Engine: 390 V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 23,919 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this fantastic 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. This story begins on September 5, 1967 when the Fastback left the Ford plant in Metuchen, New Jersey. We are looking here at an original S-Code 390ci 4-barrel carburetor V8 big block 68 Mustang Fastback with a 4 speed manual transmission. It was also ordered with the GT Equipment Group. Now you get the idea of what this Fastback is all about and we are thrilled to have it here with us in our South Florida showroom. The Fastback shows very well and drives even better. The blue exterior is just beautiful and it comes with a clean and loaded interior. First thing you will see is the nice center console when you open the door. Just continue looking around and you will also find an overhead console and a nice brushed aluminum dash and much more. There are no cracks in the dash, seats or anywhere else. Powered by a 390ci V8 engine this pony moves forward. In combination with the 4 speed manual transmission it’s just a blast to drive the Fastback. The disc brakes on all 4 wheels will get you to a stop as fast as you will take off in this Mustang. No reason to be worried to get sweaty stains on the nice and clean wooden steering wheel, the A/C is blowing cold. Another very comfortable option is of course the power steering. Folks, this is the real deal here. Everybody wants one and don’t wait too long on this one. Grab the phone and give us a call. You will get more attention with this car than Enzo in his Ferrari. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and an HD video of this 1968 Ford Mustang, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1967 Ford Mustang

1967 Ford Mustang

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 30,082 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this quintessential example of a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe! The Ford Mustang was introduced unto the world on April 17th, 1964. The Mustang, conceptualized from the already popular Ford Falcon, provided the American working-class with a chance to own a modest sports car with a modest price tag, all without sacrificing overall enjoyment or amenities. Shortly after beginning production in mid-1964, the Mustang underwent extreme body modifications every couple of years, the first small tweak is seen here with this 1967. The 1967 and 1968 models were elongated by a few inches, with modifications to the car taking place in the front nose, as well as the sharpening of the body lines along the sides, while the rear taillight panel would now present itself with an indention, rather than a protrusion. Smaller, underpowered 8 cylinder motors were now offered with larger displacement than the first two production years, as well as more horsepower, and more amenities (such as back up lights). Upon decoding the VIN and datacode plate, we find that this particular C-Code 1967 (original 289cid v8 2bbl) was birthed in the San Jose plant before being shipped to Seattle for sale. An additional comfort that we find in this decoding of the Mustang is that this 1967 was Candy Apple Red from the factory, as well as adorned with black buckets, making her trim-code matching and very period-correct. For more information and to view dozens of HD pictures and a video of it running and driving, please visit www.GATEWAYCLASSICCARS.com and dial (708) 444-4488.

1968 Ford Mustang

1968 Ford Mustang

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 12,000 ( since rebuilt )

This awesome 1968 Ford Mustang is available at our Louisville KY showroom. The Terlingua Racing Team was named after a small community in Texas that Carrol Shelby and some close friends bought so they would have a place to go and blow off steam. Eventually Neale would draw up a logo that was placed on Shelby’s first ever GT350r right before its first race. As history has it that car would go on to win that first race and the emblem found its own place in the record books. This example is a great replica of what you would have seen racing in the SCCA Tran Am series of the day. The yellow paint is probably nicer than any of those race cars as it calls out for your attention. The stickers on the car are all classic 60’s and even has Shelby listed as social director which he actually was in Terlingua. Under the hood is a very healthy 302 that has a ton of power with a great exhaust note. Hit the button for the remote cutouts and that sweet exhaust note becomes a nasty growl. The C4 transmission handles the power nicely transferring to the 8 inch rear-end. Open the doors and a black vinyl interior is very inviting. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving you that old school feel. You will see something that never came in the original race cars and that is AC. Yes, you get the look and feel of an old school SCCA race car with the comfort of AC does it really get any better than that. If you have been wanting to get into a car that has the nostalgia racer look with some modern comfort thrown in this is the Pony for you. Options on this 1968 Ford Mustang include, AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Ford Mustang is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1968 Ford Mustang

1968 Ford Mustang

Engine: 428 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 184 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this excellent 1968 Ford Mustang GT. The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was initially introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale in August 1964. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power. The 1971 model saw a drastic redesign to its predecessors. After an initial surge, sales were steadily declining, as Ford began working on a new generation Mustang. With the onset of the 1973 oil crisis, Ford was prepared, having already designed the smaller Mustang II for the 1974 model year. This new car had no common components with preceding models. This car has recently finished its restoration with only 185 miles since being a finished project. The car originally came from California and is an actual GT from the factory. It has been repainted to the Highland Green with a stylish black stripe painted on the hood. This car has had the original set up and 302 replaced with a 428, 4 speed manual, Ford 9” rear end, and has a 3.73 gearing. The Ram Air hood is functional and adds an aggressive stylish look to this 1st generation Mustang GT. This GT has many upgrades including a digital dash, custom wheels, and even comes with a Marti Report. The suspension has been lowered with Shelby suspension for a more aggressive look. If you want to add something light, fast, with a professional quality build than this is the Gen 1 Mustang for you. For sale in our Detroit showroom is a 1927 Ford Roadster. This 1927 Ford has been completely customized as a Hot Rod with a style of its own that catches a lot of attention everywhere it goes. The first thing that you will notice is the Maroon exterior that is a great color that really pops with the custom painted graphics and offsets the red frame. Other exterior features such as the perfect choice of wheels give this roadster a real classic look. Inside this great roadster you will find red vinyl seats and door panels that are extremely comfortable and really stand out from the jet-black vinyl floor, the brushed metal dashboard matches perfectly with the black faced gauges with chrome rings, and the long handle floor shifter with the piston shift knob that finishes off the custom look. This roadster was built for performance to match its looks as well with a Flat-Head V8 that has plenty of horsepower with a sweet looking twin carb setup, heads that are painted red to match, and a custom set of headers finishing off the unique look of this roadster. All new suspension ensures that this roadster will handle great while cruising around on the weekend or heading to show off at the local car show.
