For sale in our Dallas showroom is a low mileage, gloss black, 1999 Chevrolet Camaro SS. The midnight black paint is as deep as an ocean and so was the pockets that funded the 30,000+ dollars of aftermarket goodies! Under the hood of this three owner, modern muscle car is an LS2 402 CID V8 engine backed by a T-56 6-spd manual modified transmission. Backing the drivetrain is a Moser 12 bolt rear-end with 3:55 gears; perfect for performance and cruising. On the car there are 23,100 original miles, but on the engine there are a cool 6,500 miles. Now, as mentioned before, the 402 CID V8 engine is ready to sit you back in your seat and effortlessly put a smile upon your face. The current engine plants at the wheels 510 documented horsepower! Good luck keeping up. Even though this car was built with SCCA solo racing in mind, streetability was also considered. This car is still perfectly street legal and street friendly. Here is a partial list of some of the aftermarket work: Trick Flow 2.5" exhaust headers, Pro-Line/Vengeance Racing forged LS2 engine block, RPM level 5 T-56 transmission, 30 spline axles, ARP wheel studs, SKF X-Tracker front hubs, StopTech front disc brakes, Hotchkiss sway bar, tubular front end and k-member for weight reduction and durability, welded reinforced sub frame, Racetronix fuel pump, Penske front and Koni performance shocks, unbalanced Engineering Decoupled Torque Arm, rear seat delete, A/C delete, cruise control delete, spare tire delete, windshield washer delete, light weight battery, light weight carpet installed, and the list goes on and on. The light grey leather interior amongst the gloss black exterior pay tribute to each other and the matte black Forgestar 18x11 alloy wheels with massive 315/30R18 Falken Azenis 615Ks complete the package. Options include: AM/FM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, anti-lock brakes, tilt wheel, seat belts, driver/passenger airbag, anti-theft system, leather interior, radial tires and racing wheels. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very rare 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. While production for 2002 was 42,098 total Camaros built, this example is believed to be a one of one. While COPO cars have certain exclusivity about them, this example is a double-COPO car making it even more exclusive. The vehicle was custom ordered from a dealership and immediately shipped to SLP and had a full performance package installed. During this time, the owner met Matt Murphy of GMMG and arranged to have the vehicle receive the second COPO package before taking delivery. The Camaro was originally given an LS1 rated at 325 horsepower, but through SLP and GMMG has been upgraded to 380 rated horsepower, but most reports claim this to be conservative. This is believed to be the only 380 horsepower model with the 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. Starting from an already impressive base car, many upgrades were done to the entire car. A self-arming kill-switch was installed to reduce the risk of having this beauty stolen, an SLP serialized plaque and a GMMG serialized plaque were added to prove its authenticity, and several signatures have been placed on the vehicles inner fender. Power was increased via a number of modifications including 3.73 rear gear ratio on an Auburn limited-slip differential, under drive pulleys on the engine, a custom exhaust, Bilstien performance springs, shocks, and bushings, and a custom computer tune to make all the added equipment work together without issue. Being a one of one certainly makes this one rare-oh Camaro! Options include Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/CD, T-tops, Cruise-Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Traction Control, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Drivers Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Alloy Wheels, and a Numbers Matching engine and transmission. For more information on this stunning final-year double-COPO Camaro contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Louisville showroom is a stunning 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. The LS1 engine has been a game changer for sure! The Foxbody Mustang had been having it way with underpowered 305 V8 Camaro’s for years. Ford decided to throttle it a bit with their 4.6-liter V8 in the SN95 platform and Boom! Chevy ups their game with the LS package. It would take the higher horsepower Cobra V8 Mustangs to compete with these Camaro’s. Sadly, GM made a strange decision to cease production on the Camaro in 2002. It would be 8 long years before the Camaro before the Camaro would return. This gorgeous low mileage Z28 has been pampered and well taken care of. This manual 6-speed Camaro has been treated to a few upgrades. A Comp Cams XR277HR-12 has been installed in the LS1 V8 along with a set of roller rockers. A SLP ram air scoop has been added to insure the V8 get plenty of air to mix with the fuel. Ceramic coated headers take care of the exhaust and they exit through a 3 inch stainless steel exhaust Manga Flow Exhaust system. Insuring the clutch doesn’t slip with this horsepower and torque, a Macleod Super Street Pro 12 inch has been installed with a new flywheel and pressure plate. The transmission has been upgraded with a Rockland Standard Gear “Son of Tranzilla” T-56 manual 6 speed. The rear end has been loaded with 3:73 gears. To insure this beastly Camaro can be slowed down if needed, a Wilwood 6 piston caliper, 13 inch rotor big brake system has been added. Just in case you get tire of listening to that sweet sound of the exhaust, there is nice Monsoon Stereo with all new Kee Audio level 2 speakers and 12-disc CD changer. The red exterior has been accented white stripes that also let you know what is lurking under the hood. New aftermarket headlights and tail lights finish off the exterior. ZR1 Chrome wheels finish off the look and sport BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp Radial Tires with approximately 2500 miles on them. Options on this 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Cruise Control, Driver/Passenger Air Bags, Power door Locks, Power Windows, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Brakes, leather seats, Seatbelts, Remote Keyless Entry, Rear Window Defogger, Factory Aluminum Alloy wheels with Radial Tires. For sale in our Saint Louis Showroom is this 1972 SS Clone Chevrolet Chevelle. The restoration work includes replaced Quarter Panels, Front Fenders, Outside Door Handles, Dash Padding, Vintage A/C and Heat added, A/C Vents, new Carburetor, new Flowmaster Exhaust with Chrome Tips, Alternator, Guages, Tackometer, 10 Bolt Posi-traction, Stock SS Wheels, and Spare Tire Covers. Altogether, there has been a great investment in time and detail to make this classic girl a thing of beauty. In 1964 the Chevelle was originally Chevrolet's response to the demand for the smaller-sized car market, which had been successfully tapped into by American Motor's Rambler. Riding on a 115-inch wheelbase, the Chevelle was based on a new A platform design, and became American's second best-selling car of its time. The 1972 Chevelles featured single-unit parking/side marker lights on their front fenders, outside of a revised twin-bar grille. Powered by a smooth running 454 CID and TH 350, this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle is a great classic to invest in as something to show off, as well as to use as your frequent driver. If someone pulls up next to your and revs up their engine to taunt you into a drag race, just lock in your seat-belt, put out your cigarette, rev your 454 back at them, and take your time driving home, because speed thrills, but kills.
