1978 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

1978 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Engine: 350 V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,310 ( undocumented )

Milwaukee is excited to have this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette here it is a beautiful Silver color with white leather interior. It features a 350ci motor backed by a 4 speed transmission. This is a numbers matching original vehicle in excellent condition. It features power steering, power brakes, T-tops, rally wheels, and raised white letter tires. 1978 was the Corvette's twenty fifth anniversary, and all 78's featured silver anniversary nose and fuel door emblems. A new fastback rear window was the most dramatic and noticeable styling change, giving the ten-year-old C3 Corvette body style a fresh lease on life. The fixed-glass fastback benefited both aerodynamics and increased the usable luggage space behind the seats while improving rearward visibility in the bargain. A shade was installed that could be pulled forward to cover the rear compartment to protect cargo and carpet against the unrelenting sun. The tachometer and speedometer were redesigned to match the new “aircraft styled” center console and gauge cluster first seen the previous year. Redesigned interior door panels were also new as well as an actual glove box was added in front of the passenger seat, replacing the map pockets of previous years. Available options now included power door locks, a power antenna, dual rear speakers and a CB radio.[5]The optional convenience group, introduced the previous year, now included intermittent (delay) wipers, floor mats, and the passenger side vanity mirror was an upgraded illuminated unit. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this beautiful 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1978 Chevrolet Corvette

1978 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID L48 V8
Transmission: TH-350 Auto
Mileage: 48,153 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a rarely seen Corvette Yellow 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. I say rarely seen because the Corvette Yellow was the least produced color in 1978 at 1,243 units. Compare that to 6,502 of the Indy Pace Car black and silver combination and over 15,000 of the two-tone silver anniversary color combination and package. The Corvette Yellow paint is mostly original, there were areas repainted as part of a warranty claim shortly after its purchase that was performed in 1978. Being 40 years old, the paint does show some age, but the body lines and panels all look very good. The original dark brown leather has also aged very well, with only minor signs of wear over the years. Powering this 3-owner 1978 Corvette is the original 350 CID L48 engine. A few parts were replaced along the way, but great effort was taken to maintain originality, including having the carburetor sent off to be refurbished instead of buying a new one. Also, the valve covers were not painted, in order to preserve the markings made by the assembly line worker the day it was produced. The TH-350 automatic transmission is original to the car and shifts the power down the line beautifully. The odometer reads 48,153, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Leather Interior, Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel, T-Tops, Seat Belts, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a great example of a surviving 78’ Corvette in a rare color that drives wonderfully. To view this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom. 1976 Chevrolet Corvette

1976 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 502 CID V8
Transmission: 4L80E-HD2
Mileage: 16,376 ( undocumented )

This 1976 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1976 Corvette was met with a great customer response even if with its lack luster performance from its underpowered small block. This blue rocket has fixed that problem in a big way, 502 ways to be exact. The blue paint is what usually catches your eye when the car is parked. The pinstriping helps to break it up while giving it more of a custom look. The rare fenders have been flared out to accommodate those huge tires in the back giving it a that huge footprint. Under the hood is the star of the story, the 502 engines. Brought directly from GM this 502/502 turn key kit is exactly what this 76 needed. With the internals being composed of nothing but forged parts this engine is built to take a beating. The high-rise aluminum intake with its matching oval port design is just another piece to this 502 HP puzzle. The matching aluminum heads are the last piece and complete this powerful puzzle. The matched up 4l80e transmission handles the power while giving the ability to cruise down the highway with its electronically controlled OD. Inside the interior has been treated to a custom bucket seats with the drag style shifter fit into the original console. Take the T-Tops off and you are sure to have a blast while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine while obeying all traffic signs of course. If you have wanted a beast of a ride that can go down the highway without turning 4000 RPM’s this 76 Corvette is a great choice. Options on this 1976 Chevrolet Corvette include, AM/FM Radio, T-Tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl/Cloth Interior, And Radial Tires mounted on Alloy Wheels. 1960 Chevrolet Impala

1960 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 2-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,176 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.

The TH-350 automatic transmission with a transmission cooler and B&M torque converter transfers the power to the 12 bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. The red exterior paint was applied in 2011 and shows well. The white vinyl top was also replaced the same year along with a new hydraulic pump and motor.
