For sale in our Detroit Showroom is this super cool 1941 Ford Pick Up. The coolest thing about this ’41 Ford is definitely the engine and transmission set up which retains its iconic Flathead V8. As soon as you turn the key, the Flathead comes to life letting you know that your truck is ready when you are. The 239cid Flathead V8 has been bored .30 over and has many new parts to make sure this truck can be used for its intended purposes. The engine bay looks very presentable and is equipped with a 12 Volt set up so it brings this ’41 Ford into the future. The engine set-up is paired to a 3-speed manual transmission that shifts nice and smooth. The paint shines like a newer car and has a fresh coat of Pearl Green with black accents. The chrome delete on the ’41 Truck makes it look a lot nicer than it would with all the chrome to offset the Pearl Green. The interior is also a modern Black vinyl bench that allows you to sit in the cab for hours at a time. The truck rests on a nice set of black steel wheels with chrome trim rings wrapped in newer radial tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is one of the most popular automobiles for hot rodding. It was also made popular in early stock car racing. 1940 was the last year for the 1937 body style. The owner of this coupe sparred no expenses on the paint work. To make this coupe pop it was fitted with 20-inch chrome rims that are wrapped with Toyo Proxes. The interior looks as if no one has sat in it since the restoration was completed. The red ultra-leather doesn’t have a single blemish on it. The dash is completely digital and don’t worry this car has Vintage Air to keep you cold in the summer and warm in the winter. Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this killer 1940 Ford 2-Door sedan for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom. Powered by the legendary 350 C.I.D. small block Chevrolet v8 engine mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This awesome driving machine has only covered 8,339 miles since the build was completed. The exterior of the vehicle is done in a gorgeous, vibrant red that will pops in the light. The cabin is a lovely place to sit and features excellently finished cloth seats and is comfy to sit in and cruise down the road. This one is easy to maneuver around tight parking lots and heavy traffic, thanks to its modern power brakes and power steering. A high flat-topped hood dominated the front look of the 1940 model, as the grille spread out to reach the fenders to differentiate the Deluxe line and the headlights were pushed wider still. The standard Ford inherited the grille of the 1939 model with blackout on each side of a heavy chrome center; heavier headlight surrounds serve as another major differentiator from the 1939. 1940 was the last year of the 1937 design. Sealed-beam headlights were one of the few major advances for 1940, while a hydraulic top was new on the convertible. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is one of the most popular automobiles for hot rodding. Early stock car racing drivers also used Fords of this generation among other cars. This Ford also formed the basis for a style of dirt track racing car. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present a unique 1942 Ford “Woody” Station Wagon 4 x 4 in our Atlanta Showroom. This 1942 Ford Station Wagon was brought back to life by it’s current owner, as the body was found in a field without a chassis. At first glance, it looks like a Woody – as attention to keeping it look like a “true” Woody has been accomplished. Now available in our Dallas- Ft Worth-Showroom is this custom 1940 Ford Coupe. This coupe has an all steel body and is ready to steal the show for whomever is the new owner! Now to some, it’s taboo to place a Chevy engine in a Ford-body, however, the builder of this custom-rod didn’t think that way. They were worried about one thing and one thing only… POWER! Which this vehicle has plenty of, in the way of a 454 Chevy motor (the valve covers say 502, but it’s a 454). Worried about it being too powerful, going too fast? I didn’t think so, but just in case you were, have no worries as this vehicle is equipped with front disc-brakes and a rear-drum braking system too. When this vehicle does finally slow down and come to a halt, you can then take notice of the fabulous 20’s in the back 19’s in the front Skop chrome wheels. Which are covered by 31x13 rear and 26x6 front Mickey Thompson tires, one of the most famous names amongst hot-rodder’s tongues. Finally, you’ll never be to hot, in this hot-rod, as it comes with an already installed vintage air system, keeping you nice and cool as you breeze down the road. Other options include: Power windows, Tilt wheel, Sony, Am/Fm-Radio with CD-player, Automatic transmission with a BTM pro-stick-shifter, and a remote to open both the doors and the trunk! Ford Model T Two-seater Roadsters which had a bucket shaped body were used as the base for the “T-Bucket”, a hot-rodder which were created and named by Norm Grabowski. This T-Bucket is sporting a blue paint job with a black vinyl interior. The 383 Stroker motor with its exposed headers is hiding from nobody as it’s the most prominent part of this hot rod. The Turbo 350 transmission sends the power to the over-sized rear wheels through an 8-inch Ford rear end. The entire drivetrain has only 100 miles since its rebuild and is more than ready for the street. The electrical system has been completely replaced from the wiring harness to the fuse block to the ignition switch to the aluminum billet battery tray and cables. The fuel system is brand-new including a new fuel cell, sending unit, new fuel lines all the way down to the fuel gauge. Engine: Flathead 4Transmission: 3-Speed ManualMileage: 5,632 ( undocumented )
For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. To view this 1931 Ford Model A in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
