See this 1977 Mercedes-Benz 240D on display in our Detroit, Michigan showroom.

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this super low mileage 1977 Mercedes 240D. Upon its introduction into the American market, this painfully slow but extraordinarily tough diesel-powered Mercedes 240D sedan was an icon of automotive reliability and a testament to the strength of German engineering and manufacturing. A member of the company's W123 range, the 240D was produced from 1977 to 1983. It was viewed as the entry-level Benz in the U.S., and internationally it often saw duty as a taxi. Its basic interior, solid construction and famous reputation for being "bulletproof" made it an excellent fleet vehicle. This Benz will run forever! With only 66,102 actual miles, this Mercedes is likely to cross the half million mark with no issues. The interior of this Mercedes, is in near new condition and has been babied its entire life. Usually, these types of vehicles were daily drivers or fleet vehicles but here is your chance to own a low mileage clean cruiser. If you have one of these on your list, do not pass up this super clean Mercedes Benz. Engine: 4.5L V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 81,711 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this well-preserved, low mileage 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL roadster. This elegant motor car has had an average of less than 2100 miles per year added to the odometer since it was purchased new in the Phoenix area while Jimmy Carter was our president. The third and current owner, like the two before her, is very meticulous when it comes to maintenance, storage, and limited use. To make sure the car is ready for its new owner, the fuel pump and water pump were both recently replaced. In addition, the transmission has been gone through and the air conditioning has been serviced and blows cold. All fluids have been flushed and replaced as well as any service work deemed necessary to keep this beauty running, driving, steering, and braking up to original factory specs. All the original owner's publications and the tool kit are still in the vehicle. Cosmetically, this elegant motor car has original paint and interior. The paint looks great except for some minor lacquer crazing on the trunklid. The soft top is new, and all of the trim and ornamentation looks new. Tires look great, as well. Overall, this car should provide years and years of reliable service and provide the new owner with many "smiles per gallon". Considering its age, the car is very agile on the road, especially compared to many of its contemporaries then, and even a decade later. Remember yesterday’s thinkers are todays buyers so act now before it is too late. Let’s put this car in your home.
