1971 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: ZZ 383 Stroker
Transmission: Tremec 5 Speed
Mileage: 2,957 ( since rebuilt )

This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KYT showroom. Road racing has long been a part of American car culture for not only showing what companies could do but just for the sheer fun. The 60’s and 70’s would see one of the biggest booms in the sport with Lemans and the T/A series finding plenty of fans. The sport would eventually fade away after Car manufactures began to focus on fuel economy and safety instead of performance. This example is true to that heritage and was built to look and perform as such. Probably the first thing you notice on this 71 is the headlights. Like racecars of that time the hole light assembly ahs been removed with a Lemans style piece put in its place that not only looks sportier but shaves quite a few ponds off. The front has a bottom spoiler to help with down force, but you have to admit looks pretty darn good. The paint job is fitting with the company logos being nothing more than vinyl decals that can be removed if you don’t like the look. The racing components is what really separates this road course weapon from the rest. The Bilstein shocks are race ready with the tubular control arms, fiberglass leaf springs, and lowered stance all add to the carving capability’s. The Steeroids rack and pinion steering is one of the most precise setups sold for these cars eliminating any of the see saw motion in the wheel. Under the L88 hood is a 383 stroker motor from GM’s very successful ZZ line. The huge cam and a great tune has this small block pumping out A massive 500+HP. The tremec 5 speed handles the power nicely with the built rear end having 650HP half shafts. The 3.55 gears give the perfect mix of acceleration and top end grunt. The bucket seats inside are exactly what you need if you are thinking about trying to use the car to its full potential. The 4-point cage adds rigidity to the chassis while giving a level of protection with the 4-point harness’ keep you in place. The dash on the car has been taken out with a more race car friendly layout taking its place. The removable steering wheel allows for more room when getting in and out of the car and another item that you would expect to see in a car of this nature. The 200MPH speedometer as well as an MSD REV limiter that even has a 2 step. If you have been wanting a race car that can be driven to the track, run some hot laps around the road course and then driven back home in confidence this 71 Corvette fits the bill. Options on this 1971 Corvette include, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, T Tops, and Radial Tires with Alloy Wheels. 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle

Engine: V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 28,541 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible. This car is turn key and fire right up just ready to hit the streets. Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8 engine and in a convertible to really make you enjoy a summer night cruise. The 1971 Chevelle was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. Chevrolet specifications for 1971 included both "gross" and "net" horsepower figures for all engines. The standard Chevelle SS engine was a two-barrel 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 245 gross (165 net) horsepower. This stunning Chevelle does have the standard small block 350 Chevy engine that has been completely rebuild and runs great. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3 speed automatic transmission. The red paint on this car shines bright in the sun and has been redone to be in great condition. The black vinyl interior does not show its age due to it not having any rips or tears. This car even has upgraded sound system to a more modern stereo and speakers. The classic style is kept with the Cragar wheels and white letter BF Goodrich tires, it does have another set of rims that come with it as well. This car is set up with the R12 original A/C that still blows cool to this day. The power top makes an aggressive look go to a sporty convertible and even more fun drive in a matter of minutes. This car is perfect for any collection and could even be used as a daily driver. Everyone should enjoy dropping the top on a classic Chevelle and pushing the throttle down to feel the rush of American muscle. 1971 Chevrolet Blazer K5

1971 Chevrolet Blazer K5

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 3,500 ( since rebuilt )

With only 3,500 miles on this extremely custom Blazer, it is ready to tackle any obstacle put in its way! This Blazer is sitting on a set of massive 39.5” Super Swamper mud tires that will dig through or up just about anything and are connected to axles tough enough to take it. Up front is a built-up Dana 60 and out back is a 14-Bolt GM axle that are both equipped with 4.88:1 locker differentials. Connecting the two axles is a 205 transfer case that are well recognized in the off roading community for their toughness and durability. In order to turn these big wheels and axles, this truck needed a power house of an engine so the builder opted for a 454 cubic inch big block Chevrolet equipped with fuel injection for easy tuning and added efficiency. Sitting right behind the engine is a 700R4 transmission giving you an overdrive gear that is much needed when running a 4.88:1 ratio. The steering in the truck was equipped with more heavy duty steering components provided through PSC and is equipped with hydraulic assist. The HD tie rods were run above the axles to keep them out of the way of any obstacles. Despite all the work that has gone into making this truck durable, the body from 1971 has been kept straight and clean. The front fenders were radiused to clear the large tires during heavy flexing in the suspension and aftermarket bumpers installed front and rear for durability and a tough appearance. This Blazer has many thousands of dollars into the build and, if you have been thinking about doing a similar build, this is a much better route to go as it will save you time and money in the long run. This is a great truck for someone who is looking for a turn key trail rig or someone just looking to have fun with their buddies on the weekend. What ever your plan is you will have fun taking this Blazer places no vehicle was meant to go! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1971 Chevrolet Blazer in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1970 Chevrolet Nova

1970 Chevrolet Nova

Engine: 450 small block
Transmission: TH-350
Mileage: 9,268 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Nova. This Nova is way meaner than one may think. Power for this bad machine comes from 450 cubic inch small block using an aftermarket "Rocket" block. This special block allows for a bit more displacement without sacrificing the blocks integrity. The go fast goodies inside include a full solid roller valve train, Manley connecting rods, 10.5:1 JE Pistons, Quick Fuel carburetor and AFR aluminum high flow cylinder heads to name a few. Power is estimated in the 600 horsepower range. Firing up this amazing power plant will impress any gear head. Many would think that an engine with such power and menacing sound would be a difficult one to drive. Believe it or not, this one is very well mannered. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch and is equipped with 3.00:1 gear set for easy highway use. Since the drivetrain build, the car has covered a modest 1,000 miles and is ready for more use and enjoyment. Slowing down such a machine means that drums won't do the job anymore. In place is a new pair of Wilwood front disc brakes while drums remain out back, but still doing their job. Weld Racing wheels look right at home on this Nova as does the Green on Green paint scheme. Adding a little flair to the exterior in addition to the wheels is a set mild stripes that barley show themselves. You may even call them ghost stripes. Inside is stock Nova with exception of the aftermarket gauges. The original bench seat is quite comfy and looks really good. Someone could very easily swap them out for a pair of buckets if they so desired. For more information on this 1970 Chevrolet Nova, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom.
