Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a very unique and rare 1970 Mercury Marquis Convertible. As the horsepower wars start to wind down, the American automotive scene started to take a turn where vehicles were focused on personal luxury and style. This awesome land yacht is the lucky recipient of a nice restoration to make it extremely presentable and ready for topless cruises. There were only 1,233 of these produced and even less that have been preserved and pampered like this one. With only 2,000 miles since it was restored, this Marquis has plenty of cruising life left. The gorgeous Blue paint is presentable and flows really nice with the Beige leather interior. The interior is a leather instead of a vinyl and makes a difference in comfort and appeal. Under the large hood rests a potent 429cid V8 that pumps out enough torque to get this beauty rolling with ease. The vehicle does come with it’s original set of wheels and shiny set of chromes to change the look if that is what your flavor. The 1970 Marquis is an iconic convertible that you rarely see on the road. If you are looking for something that stands out in a crowd this 1960 Mercury Comet wagon is for you! Not only does it drive as good as it looks but it has a long list of custom features you will not find on other wagons. No expense was spared on the exceptional paint job when the car was taken down to bare metal and epoxy primed before being painted with the PPG mint green. The top of the car is finished off with a brilliant sliver metal flake. This car has had the door handles shaved and replaced with Lincoln push button and door poppers. Also Underneath the hood of this wagon is 302 cubic inch V8 that came out of a 1992 Ford Mustang GT. Topping off the engine is an Edelbrock carburetor and new HEI GM distributor. Helping you to cruise down the road at lower RPM’s is the 5 speed manual transmission that is paired nicely to the 302. Helping the engine breath is the dual exhaust with Bellflower tips exiting next to the rear fenders. Jamco lowering springs and air shocks with on board air compressor are what give the car it’s one off stance while maintaining the factory ride. There are disc brakes on the front of this car helping it stop better than when it was new. The rear axle is out of a 1968 Ford Mustang that has been rebuilt with 3.25 gears. Speaking of the rear of the car there is a hidden receiver hitch behind the fold down license plate. Completing the custom exterior are a set of vintage 5 lug chrome wheels with spider caps and black painted centers wrapped in new radial tires. This Comet just completed a 1,000 miles road trip to the HAMB drags while getting 23 mpg. For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a frame off restored 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT. This rare piece of American history is believed to be one of only a handful made with these exact options and the factory installed fiberglass hood. Decoding the trim tag indicates that this car is an original “S” code 390 CID V8 car. The “S” code engine in 1966 was said to put out 335 horse power conservatively rated, and 427 foot pounds of torque. The interior and exterior have been beautifully restored to their original specifications, Red paint and White vinyl. Unlike the Comet Cyclone GT’s counterpart, the Ford Fairlane, this car was a very limited production number vehicle. The limited production numbers of the Comet Cyclone GT is what brings the car in to a whole different realm of collectability. If you are looking for that rare muscle car era car that is next to take off, then look no further because you have found it here with this rare 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT. The features include; upgraded air conditioning, Am/Fm Stereo, Rallye Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, and Vinyl interior. For sale in our Nashville, TN showroom is this Kustom 1951 Mercury Convertible. In 1951, George Barris purchased a then brand-new Mercury Coupe for himself, it didn’t take long, and he had fully customized it, a passerby liked it so much that he ordered a customized Mercury for himself. This car became known as the Hirohata Merc, after its new owner, and would go on to be one of the most famous customized cars of the decade, thanks in part to Barris’ restyling and through traveling the county with GM’s Motorama auto show. This is how the 1949-1951 Mercury became a kustom car icon and now one of the most popular cars to turn into a full kustom. This kustom 1951 Mercury comes to us as a beautiful fair weather roadster, luckily the convertible top frame is intact and is ready for a soft top of your choice should you want the option. Sporting a crate 350 CID small block chevy backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission, this sled is ready for a long cruise up the costal highway or down Whittier Blvd. on a Saturday night. Painted in House of Kolor’s candy Brandywine this car is a real head turner! The interior is complete with a wonderful tan leather covering most every surface and topped off with a billet dash board. This ride sports power windows, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, radial tires, alloy wheels, and tilt steering column.
