Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer an award winning 1937 Ford Cabriolet. One of the most predictable hot rod trends is throwing a small block Chevy V8 into a Ford body, slapping some paint on the body panels and calling it a day. However, this one of a kind Ford Cabrio went through a much different transition and the outcome and the results are absolutely stunning. This beauty was built from the frame up and rides like a dream on its QA1 Coil Over suspension set up. Stopping power is courtesy a Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake set-up which has power assist. Under the hood of this classy cabrio is a 302 Cubic Inch V8 which has low miles since being built and has been freshened up with a smart selection of go-fast parts like an Edelbrock intake manifold and a matching 650CFM carburetor. The installed cam is a Ford roller grind and Ford Racing also supplied the headers that lead back to the Flowmaster mufflers. The ignition set-up is a MSD ignition that lights the spark for this gorgeous cabriolet allowing it to start at first crank. The top on this 1937 Cabrio is a non-folding Teddy Z Carson top and the same color material is used on portions of the door panels and seats. The interior seats up to 4 people comfortably and is wrapped in a very soft, white colored vinyl which brings this Cabrio to a whole new level of class. The freshly waxed, Brilliant White with Blue Pearl exterior sparkles under the sun on this timeless Ford and is sure to attract all the attention when you're cruising down your favorite winding road. 1936 Ford Tudor

1936 Ford Tudor

Engine: 350 Small Block
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 676 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford Tudor. This beautiful street rod has covered a modest 1,600 miles since its full frame off restoration last year. The restoration started as well as anyone can ask for, a rust free body. The only non original metal on the build are the fiberglass running boards. The rest of the car is original steel. Prior to the restoration, the car had been stored in a garage since 1946 with an original 27,000 miles! Even though the car was very solid, the restorer decided to upgrade the chassis to a Pete and Jake frame. This is a great upgrade to handle the added power coming from the Vortec 350 V8. Other upgrades and street rod themed parts include power four wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C system, new front and rear suspension, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, 700 R4 overdrive automatic transmission, tilt steering column, digital gauges, all new glass, new top, Walker radiator, new high end interior by Sew Fine Interiors of St. Louis and of course wheels and tires. The wheel and tire combo are 17 inch up front and 20 inch out back for a great staggered look. The bumpers were all rechromed and the paint is PPG base/clear Dark Purple Pearl. This '36 Ford is very well built and ready to impress! Call our St. Louis showroom for more information or swing by for an up close viewing. 1936 Ford Special Deluxe

1936 Ford Special Deluxe

Engine:
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,750 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston is this awesome 1936 Ford Special Deluxe. Finished in Green with a Gray interior, this vintage classic really looks the part. It is powered by a 1942 85hp 221 CID Ford V8 mated to a 2-speed transmission with reverse. The vehicle shows 2725 miles on the odometer, but it is unknown if this is actual or not. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting. The current owner has had it for about 3 years and has take very good care of it. It’s a road ready classic that would make a great starter classic or an awesome addition to anyone’s car collection. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. 1938 Ford Deluxe

1938 Ford Deluxe

Engine: V8 221 CID
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 94,439 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Nashville show room is this very original 1938 Ford DeLuxe four door convertible! While the vast majority of automobiles built in the U.S. in the late 1930s had closed bodies, open cars still carried an aura of luxury and exclusivity. Even Ford, which perfected mass production, introduced a new open car that combined the best features of a closed body, a cabriolet, and a four-door sedan into one single design. Offered only in DeLuxe trim, the distinctive Convertible Sedan drew many prospective buyers into Ford showrooms. This example came from a car museum in the Southeast and left the factory with nearly every one of the 20+ factory options for the year and model. These included deluxe hubcaps, deluxe wheels, cigarette lighter, side mirrors, dash clock, bumper guards, glove box, and many more! This car came with an 85 bhp, 221 cu. in. V-8 engine with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring, semi-floating rear axle with transverse leaf spring , and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The car has been outfitted with a few newer parts to improve drivability and safety. The upgrades include a new griffin radiator to handle the rigors of modern driving, new distributor and coil, new battery, and an alternator conversion. These upgrades were done to convert the car from six to twelve volt for convince and safety. If you are looking for a great example of a survivor pre-war touring car, this is the one! 1936 Ford Hot Rod

1936 Ford Hot Rod

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 274 ( undocumented )

It’s not everyday that Gateway Classic Cars is given the pleasure to offer a vehicle that was built, documented, and owned by the same individual. What you see here is fantastic mix of 50’s east coast, patina rod, and rat rod stylings that took over 3 years to complete. This 1936 Ford Pickup is the final build of a man’s 45 year legacy of constructing custom rods. The build began with a fully customized frame. The rear is “Z’ed” approximately 10” to make way for a truly sinister stance. Unlike other rat rods, the ’36 Ford truck cab was lovingly restored, channeled 4”, and all cancerous rust was removed and replaced with new metal before being finished in Flat Black. The powertrain boasts an ever-popular and rebuilt/resealed 300 hp Chevy 350 small block pushing 9:1 compression which calls for 87 octane fuel. Lake-style headers provide the driver with an aggressive exhaust note. Behind the mildly-cammed Chevy 350 sits a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission with shift kit, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9” posi rear end with coilovers. The front suspension has been donned with manual rack and pinion steering, period-correct drop axle, and leaf spring. Manual disc brakes from an Impala with new stainless steel lines are utilized up front, while the rear is capped with drums. All gauges are in working order. The 14 gallon fuel cell will provide this build with a longer journey capacity than most custom rods. The car is correctly titled as a 1936 Ford, which can sometimes prove difficult depending on which state you seek approval, and the VIN is stamped both in the frame and firewall. Simply put, you can NOT put a custom rod like this together for even twice the modest sticker price. This ’36 Ford would be a fantastic initiation for anyone interested in entering the world of custom rodding, and all of the difficult work has been performed by a veteran and professional of the automotive business. 1936 Ford Humpback

1936 Ford Humpback

Engine: 221 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 207 ( since rebuilt )

We are excited to offer for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis this fully restored 1936 Ford Humpback. This two door sedan is powered by its original 221 Flathead V8 and shifts through a 3-speed manual transmission. Eight years ago the car underwent a full body off restoration to bring the car back to as it was in 1936. Originality was the key and the execution was spot on. All new brakes lines, exhaust system, bumpers and trim. It is still equipped with the original clock that winds up and keeps time. The interior is back to original and the car is also fitted with new wide white wall tires. There are only 207 miles on the car since the restoration and it still looks amazing. It's a true pleasure to see and drive a car that has been restored back to original specs. It's an easier task in most cases to turn an old car into a hot rod. With this car, you get an idea on what it was like to drive one of these when they were new. It's easy to appreciate the time and detail that goes into restoring this Humpback. Turn the key, pull the choke out a bit, adjust the throttle as you engage the starter and listen to that famous Flat head V8 come to life. Painted gloss black with gray cloth interior riding on wide white wall tires is as classic as it comes. For more information on this 1936 Ford Humpback, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom for a closer look. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. 1963 Ford Fairlane Drag Wagon

1963 Ford Fairlane Drag Wagon

Engine: 427 CID V8 425HP
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 67,561 ( undocumented )

Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this stunning 1963 Ford Fairlane. The Ford Fairlane is an automobile model that was sold between 1955 and 1970 by Ford in North America. The name is derived from Henry Ford's estate, Fair Lane, near Dearborn, Michigan. This 1963 Ford Fairlane wagon has been a drag racer in the Pacific Northwest for many years. We have seen many Thunderbolt clones, but never one based on a wagon, and this one is even better because it has real history. It has a modernized engine, yet the exterior retains older paint and graphics. Fantastic! The car sits right and the staggered steel wheels with long Moroso studs, which cannot be beat. The rear suspension and wide 11.5? Mickeys are nicely tucked underneath and don’t really hint at their increased capability. The red interior offers a nice contrast and doesn’t dig the Sun sweep tachometer on the dash and the roll-bar that extends back into the cargo area. The stock bench and steering wheel look great! The engine is the best part of the car and sets it apart from the small blocks we typically seen in wannabe T-bolts and Fairlane drivers. It combines a 390 block with a 428 SCJ crank to displace 423 cubic inches. It apparently wears twin 600 CFM carbs under a proper looking airbox and T-bolt headlight duct system. The transmission is a built C6. If you’re ready to stand out in a crowd or simply haul “butt” away from them, this is the vehicle for you! To view this in 1963 Ford Fairlane, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
