1950 Ford Woody

1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80,875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1948 Ford Super Deluxe

1948 Ford Super Deluxe

Engine: 393 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 20,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to announce this outstanding 1948 Ford Deluxe Convertible for sale in our Scottsdale Showroom. This high-end, complete rebuild has had some very respectable hands involved in its restoration, utilizing an array of top-notch components and it shows! This build began with a 1948 Ford Deluxe V-8 Convertible beautifully restored to its original condition with burgundy paint and a tan top. A photo album details the build step-by-step, highlighting each stage. Kugel Komponents provided their expertise by customizing the chassis to handle the torque of a supercharged engine and fabricating a state-of-the-art independent suspension with calibrated coil-over shocks front and rear. Mitech Racing Engines bored and stroked a Ford Windsor engine out to 393 Cubic inches. Topped by a BDS Supercharger and dual Holley carbs, this engine produced 520 HP and 468 ft./lbs. of torque when dyno’d. A Ford C4 transmission has been called upon to put this immense power to the pavement. The removable Carson top and windshield chop are the work of Gene Winfield. The fenders were sculpted to the body, the final preparations made and “Candy Brandywine” paint was applied by Hot Rods by Boyd Coddington. This was one of the very last cars to come out of his shop in La Habra, CA. Bills Auto Upholstery in Brea, CA provided the luxurious all-leather camel interior with heated power seats. Many modifications were performed, some of which include: Installation of a 3.90:1 Posi Independent Rear End, 20-gallon Rock Valley stainless steel fuel tank, rack and pinion power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes w/electric vacuum pump, power windows, A/C, custom-made “Dougs Headers”, Blaupunkt Satellite Stereo System, “Appleton” spotlights on drivers & Passenger sides and the list is almost endless! 1954 Ford F100

1954 Ford F100

Engine: 468 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 3,826 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful and mean supercharged pro-street 1954 Ford F100. The monster 468 CID V8 engine with its giant blower is neatly engineered to fit under the tilt hood, providing for a very inconspicuous look…if you can get around the flames on the hood, that is. The door handles have been shaved for a sleeker and more simplified look. The custom flame paint job on the truck looks great from any distance. Definitely a talking point from a cosmetic stand point. The truck has undergone many modifications, increasing power dramatically. However, components like suspension and brakes have not been overlooked. You will notice the beefy brakes (which stop the truck with excellent power) and the 4-link suspension setup. Even with the power level that this truck is at, it stays straight and true under heavy acceleration. The sound is amazing from this truck. The custom exhaust setup, along with the whine of the supercharger, definitely puts a big smile on your face. This truck is no slouch but it it’s a lot tamer than you may thing for road usage. The current owner has driven long distances with no fusses. The 3-speed transmission is geared so that you can cruise on the highway without overrevving the engine. Even with the modifications, the truck stays cool in the Texas heat. The wooden bed is in great condition and the custom vinyl interior is a comfy place to be. It even has power windows! Other upgrades include racing aluminum alloy wheels, posi-traction, tilt wheel and new Mickey Thompson tires. The Ford F-Series was redesigned by Ford for 1953 with a more integrated look. The pickups also obtained their widely familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100, the F-2 and F-3 now became the F-250, and the F-4 now became the 1-ton F-350. Optional interior amenities were new, including a dome light, lighter, arm rests, sun visors and a radio. 1930 Ford Coupe

1930 Ford Coupe

Engine:
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 268 ( undocumented )

1930 Ford Model A for sale in our Atlanta Showroom location is ready for its next owner. This beauty is painted in a mirror Black paint with red pin striping, red wire wheels with white walls. It looks fresh and runs just as good! The 4-cylinder engine and manual transmission still power this Model A down the road and a lot of new parts keep it running right. The consignor states the engine and transmission have under 300-miles since the rebuild, with a new starter and new alternator. Options aren’t limited on this beauty – that include cloth interior, wire wheels with hub caps, bias ply tires, radiator guard, dual side mounts, dual side mirrors, truck rack and trunk. The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle, and gearshift. Previous Fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes. The Model A's fuel tank was situated in the cowl, between the engine compartment's fire wall and the dash panel. It had a visual fuel gauge, and the fuel flowed to the carburetor by gravity. A rear-view mirror was optional. In cooler climates, owners could purchase an aftermarket cast iron unit to place over the exhaust manifold to provide heat to the cab. A small door provided adjustment of the amount of hot air entering the cab. The Model A was the first car to have safety glass in the windshield. Almost 5 million Model A Fords were produced in 9 different body styles before it was replaced by the Ford Model B. This 1930 Ford Modal A is for sale in our Atlanta Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
