For sale in our Dallas Showroom is a beautiful 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air. Chevrolet Built the Bel Air in 1950 and continued production all the way until 1980. In 1955 Chevrolet manufactured the second generation of Bel Airs from 1955 to 1957.
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel air 2 door Hardtop is an eye catcher for sure, its bright yellow exterior that is in excellent condition is what really makes it pop. The beige custom vinyl interior is also in excellent condition. This Bel Air is powered by a new GM 350 CID V8 that is bolted to a 700R4 automatic transmission that drives with ease. Under the hood you will notice an Edlebrock aluminum intake manifold and a Holley 4bbl carburetor that provides plenty of air and fuel to get every bit of horsepower you can out of the engine. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this good looking 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door post. ’55 Chevys will always have a warm spot in this boy’s heart. The Drag race scene in American Graffiti began the yearn for one of these classics. Imagine being 16 years old and trying to persuade your Mom to let you buy one with a V8 and a 4-speed manual. 40 years later and still waiting to get my 1st 55 Chevy. Anyways, this Bel Air has 87287 actual miles on the body and frame per the current owner. The drivetrain has way less mileage with only 8000 since the rebuild. The body and frame were separated in 2012, painted then reassembled. At this time the engine was upgraded to a 383 Stroker Chevy small block V8 and mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. The combo gives good reliable power, the Bel Air will now cruise at 70 mph and only turn 2100 rpm on the tach. The exterior of Teal Blue goes well with the gray cloth interior. Finishing off the exterior look is a nice set of Boyd Coddington 5 spoke aluminum wheels. If you always wanted a ’55 Chevy Bel Air since childhood, call now before this decides to finally get one. Options for 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door post include; AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Cloth Interior, Aluminum Alloy shod with Radial Tires. Engine: 383 StrokerTransmission: TH350 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 997 ( since rebuilt )
This one off custom built 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 57 Chevy is hands down the most Iconic American ever made. The flowing fins are its classic signature mark and what most people think of when you say 57. They have even been able to stay relevant in the car world for over 60 years. This one off 57 can be simplified in word CLEAN. From the welded and smooth frame underneath to the two-tone paint job up top there is just no better to word to describe it. The car was taking down to bare metal with the only patch being a small one on the floor pan. The body was treated to 2 coats of epoxy primer then a high-build primer that was block sanded with a coat of urethane primer on top of that. The 3 coats of silver were then applied giving the car that great two tone look it has now. Protected by a total of 6 coats of clear giving it a mirror like finish. The billet specialty wheels really set the car off while helping to exaggerate its stance. Under the hood is more top-notch craftsmanship with the core support being the first thing you notice. Hoses have been routed through the fenders giving the engine bay a very clean look. The 383 stroker has been dressed up with a set of custom valve covers and matching breather. The power from that 383 is transferred via a TH350 transmission which shifts out just as it should. The 10 bolt posi rear-end has been filled with a set of 4.11 gears giving this 57-great acceleration. Inside you are surrounded by a custom red interior that has an original feel. Once you get in the vehicle it becomes evident that there have been some custom touches that really put this beauty over the top. The custom dash has been finished off with a set of custom gauges that really set the interior off. With the AC tied into the original controls and vents molded into the dash this must be one of the coolest interiors. If you have been looking for an extremely clean 57 that is a mix of new and old styling look no further. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC. AM/FM Radio, Tilt Wheel, Leather Interior and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. Engine: 283 CID V-8Transmission: 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 14,021 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a very cool 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. Tri-Fives have become a symbol of Americana. From four doors, to two doors, to wagons, and convertibles, they're are loveable and enjoyable in their own way. Perhaps the most sought after, is the two door wagon known as a Nomad. The Nomad has a sleeker and sportier look than most wagons with its tilted forward B-Pillars and dramatic sloping rear tailgate. There's no question this sporty wagon has a beautiful silhouette that a whole generation can relate to. This particular Nomad has been spruced up with some tasteful touches, and undergone a very extensive restoration. The exterior is finished in a deep, dark black, with gorgeous stainless bright work down the sides. You would never believe it was done in the early 90’s unless we told you, that’s how good this paint looks. It sits on 15” gold wire wheels, which really make the rest of the gold trim pop off the sides of this car. Pop the hood, you’ll find what is believed to be the original 283 that has been bored 0.060 over with a mild cam in it to give a little extra grunt. The interior is two-tone to match the exterior with a very unique upholstery pattern. They certainly don't make interiors like they used to. This Nomad was restored about 15 years ago and has held up well since. If you're looking for a tri-five that will draw a crowd wherever you go, it's gotta be a Nomad. This Chevy is the perfect mix of high end panache and classic 50’s gusto. To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit: www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: LS7 (427)Transmission: 4L60EMileage: 126 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! Options on this 1955 Custom Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC, AM/FM, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1957 Chevrolet 210 Hardtop. This sweet little 210 is powered by a 327 small block Chevy and backed by a manual 4-speed transmission. Power is sent to a stock '57 rear end housing a set of 3.36:1 rear gears allowing for fun around town yet still very highway worthy. The paint is base coat clear coat Quasar Blue Metallic, is roughly 2-3 years old, is still looking great and right at home on this '57 210. Inside you'll find a stock appearing interior with correct 210 seats. Most restorations seem to lean towards Bel Air interiors regardless if they’re Bel Airs or not. The 210 looks just as good and is in an Ivory and Charcoal color scheme that goes quite well with the Quasar Blue Metallic. Miles are showing 73,010 and are believed to be original. Modern upgrades include an aluminum radiator to help dissipate heat and keep the engine running cool. Adding to the aluminum radiator is an electric cooling fan. These electric fans are very good to have during any summer parade or stuck in traffic where the clutch fan isn't spinning fast enough to keep things cool. Brakes are original style drums and are brand new. An Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold helps breath cool air into the heads and an Edelbrock carburetor supplies the fuel. Edelbrock has sure made a name for themselves over the years and this easy to use carburetor solidifies their great reputation. Other notable restoration items include a new windshield, new side glass and rubber gaskets for the doors, windshield and trunk. 1957 Chevy's are as American as Apple Pie and probably one of the most recognizable cars ever built. This one has the looks and that great V8 rumble. Don’t miss out on this classic ’57! For more information on this 1957 Chevrolet 210 Hardtop, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000.
