For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is the famous, concours restored, Ford Mustang Boss 429! In 1970 Ford produced just 499 of these to compete with Chrysler's 426 Hemi in the NASCAR circuit. These engines were severely underrated at 375 horsepower. Some sources say actual horsepower was far and beyond 500, in fact this car was actually put on a dyno during restoration and is rated at 590! In order to fit this engine in the Mustang, Ford contracted out the work to Kar Kraft in Brighton, MI to complete the heavy modifications. This Boss 9 has been restored to the condition it would have come out of the factory in '70 by the famous Kevin Manley. The car's original colors have been retained: Grabber Blue on the outside, and a beautiful White vinyl interior. Where Mach 1s and Shelbys are typically adorned with striping, the Boss 429 has a much more subtle exterior scheme. Mono-tone paint and simple "Boss 429" lettering on the fender make the car a bit of a sleeper. Take a peek at the undercarriage and it is clear no expense was spared when refurbishing the vehicle. The underside is smoothly painted and shows zero evidence of road time. Every nut, bolt, and panel has been professionally refinished, rebuilt, or replaced back to the original specifications. Every paint marking and decal that Kar Kraft put on the Boss 9 during the original build was put back in place. Hop inside and the interior looks and feels like brand new. The wood grain dashboard and large analogue clock certainly scream 1970, but the 4 speed shifter and full instrumentation scream race car. The Boss 9 was the top of the line Mustang so of course it came well equipped. A Boss 429 is on any Mustang collector's list. This is a stunning concours example of the breed, and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. Engine: 351 Cleveland V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 79,219 ( undocumented )

We offer this 1971 Ford Mach 1 for sale in our Atlanta Showroom. This 351 Cleveland has the business end ready for you. Is there anything cooler than a specialty edition car from the era, I think not, maybe only two specialty cars instead of one. In 1971, the Mach 1 started with a base engine of the 302ci based Windsor motor, with a 2 barrel carburetor, followed by four optional 351 Cleveland engines. One of the most recognizable features of the '71-'73 Mustangs is the optional, standard on Boss, 351 NACA hood design with dual scoops. Though available as a visual, non-functional item, they could be made fully functional on models ordered with the Ram Air option, which included vacuum controlled 'flaps' inside each scoop, and a fiberglass under-hood 'plenum' that directed cool, outside air through a modified, rubber-ringed air filter housing and into the carburetor. The ram-air option included a two-tone hood paint treatment in either 'matte black' or 'argent' (matte silver), coordinated to the base color of the Mach 1 and its decals and striping. In addition, all Ram Air-equipped Mustangs of this generation came equipped with twist-style, chrome-plated hood locking pins. Options include: Cassette Player, Custom Wheels, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl interior, AM/FM radio, radial tires, rally wheels. To view the vehicle in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback. The Fastback Mustang is one of the most iconic cars of the muscle car era. Its slick styling and great color combinations make these cars highly sought after. This example has had a partial restoration with the Grabber Green paint being the star of the show. The car came from the factory that bright green with the black accents added during the build. The hood scoop is reminiscent of the Boss’s and really grab a ton of attention. Underneath that hood is a respectable 302 that sounds as good as the car looks. Mated up to a C4 transmission that was recently rebuilt using an upgraded shift kit and 2300 flash stall this Pony is ready to run. With the Pony’s ability to get up to speed taken care of the slowing down part was the next part to be addressed. With all new lines, disc on the front and drums on the rear stopping this fastback is as simple as hitting the pedal. Completing the mechanical side of things was the suspension which had the following components replaced, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and shocks allowing for a rather plush ride. Open the door and a fresh interior jumps right out at you. The new seat covers look great while the new foam keeps everyone riding in comfort. The new headliner looks great while the dash cover ties it all together. The new carpet seals the deal and completes a very fresh interior. 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 17,364 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom is a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302. The Camaro/Mustang rivalry had begun in 1967 with the introduction of the Chevrolet Camaro by General Motors. The Camaro was the largest threat to the lead Ford had in the "pony car" field, a market segment largely created by Ford with the introduction of the Mustang in mid-year 1964. The performance of the Mustang with 289 and 390 engines was not up to the Camaro, with its small block and big block V8. In an effort to improve the Mustang's image Ford made a 428 Cobra Jet V8 and a Ford Boss 302 engine optional for the 1968 mid-year and 1969 models, respectively. The 1969–70 Boss 302 (Hi-Po) engine was created in 1968 for the SCCA's 1969 Trans-Am road racing series. Available in the Boss 302 Mustangs of 1969–70, it's a unique Ford small-block engine featuring a thin-wall, high nickel content block casting. It differed substantially from regular 302s, with 4-bolt mains, screw in freeze plugs, and heads using a canted valve design being developed for the planned 351 Cleveland (which debuted the following year). The construction was aided by the two engines sharing a cylinder head bolt pattern, though the Boss 302 heads had to have their coolant passages slightly modified. This optional engine, and indeed the entire vehicle package, including handling and aerodynamic aids, was made available for the express purpose of meeting the guidelines to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series, which limited engine displacement to 305 C.I.D. (5.0L) in order to compete. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 302

Mileage: 72,284 ( undocumented )

You are looking at a 1970 Ford Mustang that found its way to our Ft Lauderdale showroom and we are thrilled to have the car. This is a great 1970 Mustang convertible. The second owner bought the car 20 years ago and this pony was his pride. He spent around $90000 to restore and maintain his baby. It received a full restoration 15 years ago and still looks great. The original 302ci V8 engine was bored to 331ci and was rebuild by Bill Mitchel Racing with less than 12,000 miles added since. This powerful engine is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, and with its new suspension by Steeda Autosports, this car drives fantastic. It is equipped with a 9-inch posi rear end and a gear ratio of 3:55. The exterior presents itself in the famous Ford grabber blue paint with the Boss 302 theme decals. A clean black interior is a perfect match. The car has the original body panels and she lines up beautiful. Original born with an F-Code 302ci V8, this isn’t a real Boss but you will be the boss when you drive this muscle car down the road. Be ready to smile because people will take out their phones to take pictures of you in the car. A great sound system is installed but is there better music to listen to than a V8 muscle car symphony? This isn’t just a muscle car, this is also a comfortable classic with many options to drive. All in one the Ford is ready for a new owner who will take good care of her. Let it ride!!! The 351 Boss engine has been rebuilt and balanced, so there will be no need for rebuilding of this car for quite some time. The engine looks just as it would on the showroom floor in 1971 with the proper info decals on the valve covers and the fenders. The Boss 351 jumped from a standing start to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 13.6 seconds. In a Motor Trend test from 1971, the bigger cube 429 CJ accelerated from 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 14.7 seconds. 1960 Ford Thunderbird

1960 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 352 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 345 ( since rebuilt )

This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1960 Thunderbird was the last year for what is now known as the Square birds. A rather distinctly different car than original baby birds as the second-generation cars are much bigger and can seat 4 adults comfortably. This beautiful red example has gone through a pain staking restoration with the finished Bird being one the best I have seen. Lugged out of a junk yard 15 years ago this was a solid bird to begin with. The red paint was laid down nice and smooth with the result looking like glass. The trim and chrome on the car are exceptionally clean and remind you why these birds are classic late 50’s. Those classic wire knock offs are the perfect fit on this 60 Bird. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine bay that is as clean as they come. The period corrects 352 with its true to form yellow valve covers really putting their exclamation point under the hood. The Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed is a smooth shifting transmission that handles all the power of the 352 with ease. Inside this plush 4-seater a fresh interior has been done in red and white vinyl making for a great contrast. The middle console that flows into the back separating the buckets is one of the coolest features to come in a factory car. If you have been wanting to get yourself into a square bird that is flashy and luxurious this one must be on your list. Options on this 1960 Bird include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Knock Off Wheels wrapped in Bias PLY White Wall Tires.
