1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up in fresh Yellow paint with black interior. The engine is a 454 block with 427 internals, that is backed up by a 4 speed manual transmission. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! The Camaro was introduced in 1967 to attack the Ford Mustang success. The first-generation lasted until this 1969 model year when it again paced the Indianapolis 500. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. The Z28 performance package was and still is perhaps the most special and iconic of all available on Camaros! 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 7,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. Engine: 396 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,430 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer one of the most iconic cars in the history of automobiles - a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. Painted a beautiful shade of Hugger Orange with a white manual convertible top, it'll give you many smiles per gallon. Pair that up with a black and white Houndstooth interior, and this is a color combination that's hard to beat. This car runs, drives, handles, steers, and stops like you'd want and expect it to, the only thing is the current owner does not have the paperwork to document this is originally a big block 4-spd model. He bought the car as seen here, and was never able to confirm that this was the powertrain it had from GM. If it was documented, you better believe the price would be a lot higher and the new owner probably wouldn't drive it for fear of damaging an investment-grade automobile. With this Camaro, you can go out and have fun with it, enjoying the torquey engine, shifting through the gears, and feeling the sun and wind in your face. It also cannot be documented that this is a real RS/SS model, but again, it is now and can be enjoyed as such. It's still "is what it is". It's an attractively priced first gen Camaro equipped just right at a fraction of the price of a documented car. Don't miss this iconic 1969 Chevy Camaro convertible for sale right now in our facility. 1979 Chevrolet Corvette

1979 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8 Crate Engine
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 61,265 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a gloss black 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. The gloss black paint was sprayed 5 years ago in a 2-stage enamel and clear application. The oyster in color cloth interior has been upgraded by way of black leather bolsters in the seats and woodgrain trim on the console. A rack and pinion steering setup and coil over shocks in the rear help this Corvette handle better than it did when new. A Crate 350 CID V8 was installed 6 years ago and runs strong! The V8 engine features alloy valve covers, Edlebrock aluminum intake, a Holley fuel injection setup, and a D.U.I. distributor. An aluminum radiator has been employed to keep this Crate 350 cool on hot days. A rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission was installed 3 years ago and shifts the power beautifully to the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) with 3.08 gears. The odometer reads 61,265, which represents the actual mileage on the car, and approximately 25,000 on the Crate V8 engine. Options for this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Dropping a more powerful V8 engine is a very popular thing to do to a late C3 Corvette and should not be frowned upon by the purist. The original power output was certainly not Corvette worthy. This is a great example of a driver quality Corvette that is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner for years to come.
