Gateway Classic Cars Philadelphia is excited to welcome this stunning 1956 Ford Thunderbird to its showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! This is perhaps the quintessential ride of the 50s with a story to match! Ford had introduced the T-Bird in 1955 to counter Chevy’s Corvette and even marked it at a similar base price. Sure enough, Thunderbirds outsold Corvettes in the first year at 16,155 to Chevy’s mere 700. The famed car’s story is just as fascinating as the story of this particular vehicle in that this T-Bird has been in the hands of the same family for 60 years! Wearing a gorgeous coat of white paint applied 8 years ago, this Thunderbird experienced a thorough 17-year restoration with consideration going into all aspects of work. Great care was taken to maintain original components of the car including headlight bezels, the manual rag top and even the dash! Fuel lines, rubber goods and the gas tank were replaced to ensure a reliable ride! Powered by the rebuilt numbers matching 312 CID V8 engine and transmission, this Ford drives as smooth as the day it left the showroom and attracts looks wherever it roams! For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful "Blue Dream" 1957 Ford Thunderbird. With a nice Azure Blue paint laid over the body and removable hard top of this classic, one can’t help but be drawn back to a simpler time. Elvis was the most controversial musician, 12 Angry Men was in theaters with Old Yeller, and the cost of a gallon of gas was a whopping twenty-four cents. The 312 cubic inch V8 cradled snugly under hood was the top of the line engine offered, and did a fine job of making this sporty roadster scoot all over town. Backing up the Thunderbirds V8 is a healthy 2-speed automatic that shifts as smooth as when it was new. While the cool blue covering this ’57 T-bird isn’t the original color, it is very fitting on this classic Ford. The slick two-tone “Dresden Blue” interior matches very well, and adds to the very classic look on this beautiful ‘bird. This feisty Ford was treated to some serious restoration work around 2006, including the fresh paint, a brake overhaul, suspension work, a new gas tank, starter, motor mounts, wiring harnesses, the list goes on and on! What you are looking at is a new-new 1957 Ford Thunderbird! This sporty cruiser will paint a perfect smile on your face every time you fire up that Thunderbird V8. Options include: Power Seats, Wipers, Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, Manual Top and Removable Hard Top, and While Wall Tires. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1956 Ford Thunderbird. The first generation of the Thunderbird was Ford’s answer to Chevrolet’s Corvette. The Tbird story started in 1953 on paper and Ford showed the first prototype in early 1954. Even though it was a rapid development Ford did a fantastic job and today the early Thunderbirds are on top of the list of almost every car enthusiast in the world. This particular 1956 Ford Thunderbird is a very nice driver. Lady owned for the past 10 years and she took good care of her “Baby Bird” Olivia. For many people the cars from the 50’s are considered a piece of art. It is a pleasure to just walk around this turquoise Thunderbird and see the many details and the great craftmanship. After the walk around, you want to get in the drivers seat and take off in it. This Tbird is powered by its 292ci V8 engine and shifted by an automatic transmission. You will have a good time driving this one around town. A major plus is that the car comes with both tops, the port hole hardtop and a soft top. To put an additional soft top in an early Thunderbird would cost you between $4000 and $5000. Folks, this one has it already folded up behind the bench seat. The continental kit and the white wall tires are a perfect fit to the Bird. This is a great buy if you are not looking to spent a fortune on one. This is a great driver that is ready for new adventures. Let it ride. To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1956 Ford Thunderbird, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird. The 1956 Ford Thunderbird is one of those designs that never goes out of style, and remains an instantly-identifiable icon of the 50s. Beautifully styled, comfortable, and with enough performance to keep almost any gearhead happy, they are perhaps the best combination of styling and performance from the 1950s. It can easily be said that the 1st generation of Thunderbird was their finest. Between 1955 and 1957 the Thunderbird was a small 2 seat roadster which was comparable to the Chevrolet Corvette. These cars could be had with a 292 CI V8, or an optional 312 CID V8. This T-bird has the larger 312 as well as a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, along with new wiring, stainless exhaust, and an electric radiator fan. The vivid red paint is stunning along with the red and white interior. This Thunderbird has power brakes, power steering, and a Town and Country AM radio. Stylings include round portholes in the removable hardtop, wire wheels with spinners, Firestone whitewalls, Continental kit, and fender skirts. This 1956 Ford Thunderbird for sale is located in our Dallas-Fort Worth Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tailfins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbird's standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 cu in V8 were available including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. You can also email us at email@example.com. The car is in our showroom at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer this 1957 Ford Thunderbird for sale in our Arizona showroom. Is there anything more classic than a first generation Thunderbird in white (think Suzanne Somers in "American Graffiti") with a two-tone black and white interior. Yes, I know hers was a '56, but still, a classic color for a timeless design. Under this hood of this sweet machine is a 312 CID V8, eight cylinder, engine. Now up for sale in our Houston showroom is a classy blue metallic 1957 Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a faux hood scoop and a 140-mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didn't possess. This Thunderbird has undergone a partial restoration, and is in very good driver-quality condition. The list of mechanicals that have been modified are: The 312 CID Ford engine was swapped out in 1974 with a 350 CID Chevrolet V8 engine to provide a little more get up and go for this classy chassis. It is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that was also added in 1974. The car has 2 known owners and was restored back in 1998 by the latest owner to preserve this piece if history. The exterior is in good condition and would get some heads turning driving down the road. This car has just the one hard top but is in nice condition and will keep you out of that wet weather. The interior of the car is in good original condition with a few small additions such as the engine turned aluminum dash to improve the appearance. The new cassette player hidden in the glove box with the Pioneer speaker behind the seat will make the drive much nicer while listening to your favorite songs. Some additional features include power steering, power windows, white walls, Cassette, AM/FM radio, and power seats. All in all, this adds up to a clean light blue bird that really is a joy to drive. It is hard to not look good driving a Thunderbird, especially when it is a T-Bird that looks this good. Call us today about this sweet little bit of nostalgia! For even more information on this 1957 Ford Thunderbird located in our Houston showroom come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the showroom at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com

We are excited to offer for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom this first generation Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette. Production of the Thunderbird began later on in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954 and sold exceptionally well in its first year; outselling theCorvette by more than 23-to-one for 1955 with 16,155 Thunderbirds sold against 700 Corvettes. With the Thunderbird considered a success, a few changes were made to the car for 1956. The most notable change was moving the spare tire to a continental-style rear bumper in order to make more storage room in the trunk and a new 12 volt electrical system. You'll be happy to hear that this low (actual) mileage classic Thunderbird has been held by the same family for nearly three decades and was stored for most of that time. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. Upon the birth of the Mustang in 1964, the American working class was finally offered an affordable entry into the world of hobbyist vehicles. Upon decoding the VIN and doorplate, we learn that this Mustang was birthed in the Dearborn, MI plant, before being DSO’d to Lansing, MI. The car has undergone a loving restoration in the past, but has managed to retain its originality in terms of powerplant, Rangoon Red exterior, and interior color. This Pony is a “C-Code car”, meaning that she was optioned with a 289 CID 2V V8 with a matching C4 automatic from the factory, as well as a power top, power steering, and power brakes, making this Mustang extremely approachable in terms of ownership. All too often, these pony cars were sent out the door with a 170 or 200 CID inline 6 cylinder. This C-Code Stang, however, supplies the driver with steadfast confidence in the car’s ability to move comfortably up steep inclines with minimal throttle.
