1953 GMC 5 Window Deluxe

1953 GMC 5 Window Deluxe

Engine: 261 Inline Straight Six
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,743 ( actual )

We are excited to offer this very-well restored silver and dark cherry 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. This classic pick-up truck doesn't need any work. It is ready to enjoy today and priced to sell immediately. BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1920, GMC and Chevrolet trucks became largely similar, built as variants of the same platform, sharing much the same body sheet-work, except for nameplates and grilles – though their differences, especially engines, have varied over the years. GMC advertising marketed its trucks to commercial buyers and businesses, whereas the Chevy's targeted private ownership. From 1939 to 1974 GMC had its own line of six-cylinder engines, first the inline sixes known as "Jimmy's" from 1939–1959 (source: Wikipedia). This particular GMC truck has an easy to start and fun to drive 261 Inline Straight Six. It is still being driven by a 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a powered by "you" steering and braking and only 1,743 miles after the rebuild. The current owner is its second post-rebuild. One of the best reasons to be interested in this 1953 GMC Truck is how unique this color scheme is. The exterior body has been painted in a satin gloss non-metallic silver that has maintained very good quality. The running boards fitted tight to the body and can withstand the pressure of body weight climbing in the truck. The dark cherrywood floor boards in the bed are in excellent condition and are a very attractive and distinguishing feature. The interior leather seats make the floor-boards and against the silver truck provide a striking and unique color combination. There are no tears, stains, or odors in the exterior. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For even more information, please call 618-271-3000 or email STL@GatewayClassicCars.com to speak with one of our knowledgeable sales consultants.

1992 GMC Sierra C1500

1992 GMC Sierra C1500

Engine: 383 Stroker
Transmission: TH 350
Mileage: 700 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this gorgeous dark blue 1992 GMC 1500 for sale in Our Louisville Showroom. Early 90’s GMC/Chevy trucks are starting to come into their own niche as people look to relive their glory days in a rear wheel drive vehicle and customize them into something super cool. Typically, a repaint, a set of lowering springs and cool set of wheels is the usual extent of the customization. This GMC 1500 takes a slightly different path and has more of the old school look Pro-Street look. Skinny tires on the front and steam roller meats on the back give it the correct look and stance. But what good is s look if you can’t back it up? A quick look under the hood and you will notice that this truck can haul the mail! The heart of this beast is a 383 CID Stoker V8 engine. The 383 V8 is loaded with the good stuff such as an Eagle Rotating Assembly, Probe pistons, a Comp Cams solid roller cam and lifters. Insuring this 383 gets plenty of air is a set of Profiler aluminum heads with 220 cc runners, large intake (2.10) and exhaust (1.60) valve. An Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminum intake with a Quick Fuel 750 cfm carburetor finishes off this combo. This healthy 383 CID V8 has been mated to Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed transmission. The transmission has been rebuilt with a hardened sprag, a shift kit and a TCI convertor. The rear end consists of a spool with 4.56 gears. This 1500 can haul the groceries, the tools, lumber or anything else that will fit in the bed and get it there in a hurry. Options for this 1992 GMC 1500 Convertible; AM/FM Radio with CD player, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, and Polished aluminum wheels .
