There was a time when this 1956 Chevrolet Nomad would have been overlooked for its hardtop siblings, but that day is long gone. Today the Nomad is near the top of every Chevy fan's wish list, and this gorgeous wagon gets a lot of things right: great colors, gorgeous interior, and a fully sorted LS1 drive train that offers more power and more comfort than you could get from the factory in 1956. There's no denying the handsome good looks of this 2-door wagon the simple '56 is the best-looking of the Tri-Five Chevys. This one also carries upscale Bel Air trim (which was the only way you could get a Nomad) that includes that dramatic side spear and all the chrome has been refinished to show standards, so it truly sparkles in the sun. Cross-country haulers just don't get much better than this.

The interior has been nicely upgrades with factory seats wearing leather that looks amazing. Things like the dashboard, headliner, door panels and carpets are all nicely upgraded as well, the steering wheel is a wood-rimmed unit that's on a tilt column, and there are little vents tucked under the dash for the modern A/C system which blows ice cold. There's also an AM/FM/AUX radio that sounds pretty darned good and the gauges have been converted to digital. The cargo bay is correctly finished and offers a good deal of storage space, making this a fantastic road trip candidate.

The engine is still technically a small block Chevy V8, but the 5.7 liter LS1 V8 from Street and Performance is a far cry from the original 265. It obviously fits beautifully and thanks to fuel injection and hardware, it's as reliable as your daily driver and quite a bit more powerful. The suspension uses OEM parts wherever possible to ensure reliability and easy service. A 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is a big part of the reason this car is such a pleasure to drive and the recent dual exhaust system has a pleasant burble at idle and just enough of an edge on the roll to let you know this isn't a stock Nomad. The undercarriage is quite clean and includes 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, Power brakes and 17-inch Chrome 5 Spoke wheels wearing 245/45/17 front and rear performance radials.

With only 1450 Miles on this restored, it has been fully sorted and ready to enjoy, this car just works like it should. With great looks, a wonderful color combination, and that timeless Nomad appeal, this car delivers in a big way. For additional information on this 1956 Nomad, email us at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com or call 817-310-9400.The interior has been nicely upgrades with factory seats wearing leather that looks amazing. 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

Engine: 265 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual with Overdrive
Mileage: 2,104 ( undocumented )

With approximately 2,000 miles on the rebuilt original drive train this stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel-Air is ready to be shown and cruised! Back in 1998, this Bel-Air was torn down and completely rebuilt without sparing any expense in the process. With over $30,000 spent, it was brought back to like new and has had held up very well over the last 20 years. The original 265 cubic inch V8 under the hood comes to life with the simple turn of a key and purrs smoothly whether at idle or at cruising speed. One of the most unique features equipped on this car though is the 3-speed manual transmission on the tree with overdrive allowing it to reach highway speeds at a reasonable RPM. The Sierra gold and white color combination is a real crowd pleaser especially with the interior to match! With so much of this car being original, it will take you back to simpler times and when cars were built to last. The gauges, steering wheel, and dash ooze 50’s styling and have been well taken care of since the restoration. This would be an excellent car for someone looking for a turn key cruiser to take to shows or go for a cruise with the family on warm sunny days. What ever you plan on using this classic Bel-Air for it surely won’t disappoint! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup

1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 723 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this one of a kind 1955 Chevrolet Cameo is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The luxury truck market has really caught fire the past decade. Many believe that this is something new but it was something that GM had tried many decades ago. The Cameo was really the first truck that put styling and comfort before the utility of the vehicle. This Cameo was built with that in mind and the finish product will hopefully not be seen with a load of hay in the back anytime soon. The truck was a ground up build with attention detail being top ion the list. It was a rust-free CA truck to begin with making this the perfect candidate. The first thing you notice about this beauty is the paint. “Phantom Black Pearl” as it is known as has a ton of flake in it giving the truck that sparkle look when the sun hits it. With all of the stainless steel polished to a bright luster this truck just screams 1950’s. The all new tinted glass is just another one of those attention to details that most would overlook. Under the hood is a Chevy small block with ported and polished heads give this 55 a lot more power than its original 265. The vintage finned valve covers give under the hood a great look while the stainless-steel fasteners keep with the whole attention to detail. The ride quality comes courtesy of a Heidt’s mustang II style frontend with power assisted rack and pinion steering. Open the door and the interior of the truck is the perfect complement to the exterior. The leather bench seat has been molded in such a way that it feels like you are sitting in your own bucket. Each side has its own little pocket if you will, keeping you nice and planted. If you have been wanting something different but something mainstream this 55 Cameo is perfect. The 3100 Big Widows are extremely popular but this one has the Cameo factor making it extremely different. Options on this 1955 Chevrolet Cameo include; AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, and Aluminum Wheels and Radial Tires. This gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet Cameo is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1957 Chevrolet Nomad

1957 Chevrolet Nomad

Engine: 283 CID V-8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 14,021 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a very cool 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. Tri-Fives have become a symbol of Americana. From four doors, to two doors, to wagons, and convertibles, they're are loveable and enjoyable in their own way. Perhaps the most sought after, is the two door wagon known as a Nomad. The Nomad has a sleeker and sportier look than most wagons with its tilted forward B-Pillars and dramatic sloping rear tailgate. There's no question this sporty wagon has a beautiful silhouette that a whole generation can relate to. This particular Nomad has been spruced up with some tasteful touches, and undergone a very extensive restoration. The exterior is finished in a deep, dark black, with gorgeous stainless bright work down the sides. You would never believe it was done in the early 90’s unless we told you, that’s how good this paint looks. It sits on 15” gold wire wheels, which really make the rest of the gold trim pop off the sides of this car. Pop the hood, you’ll find what is believed to be the original 283 that has been bored 0.060 over with a mild cam in it to give a little extra grunt. The interior is two-tone to match the exterior with a very unique upholstery pattern. They certainly don't make interiors like they used to. This Nomad was restored about 15 years ago and has held up well since. If you're looking for a tri-five that will draw a crowd wherever you go, it's gotta be a Nomad. This Chevy is the perfect mix of high end panache and classic 50’s gusto. To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
