Gateway Classic Cars is happy to present this 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III here in our Houston Showroom. This 2 door Mark III just screams class, as it has been meticulously cared for and maintained over its life. Dressed in a beautiful shiny white paint, this Mark III's long body lines gleam in the sun. This is a 2-owner car with the original owner being the grandmother of the current owner. It simply didn’t get enough driving time through the recent years and was stored away for about 6 years then brought back to life in August of 2017. Lucky for its future owner the 460 Cubic Inch V8 engine powering the classic ride has been carefully gone through to ensure a solid driving car in August of 2017 and only has around 150 miles on it since the rebuild. The engine is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts itself through the gear with no issue. The fuel tank was completely cleaned out along with the fuel lines, filter, and fuel level float as well. Some other beneficial restoration work that was done was a new fuel pump, carburetor rebuild, and fluids flushed then topped off. The 1970 Mark III was the first American made car to have radial tires as standard equipment. This Lincoln is a perfect car for any collector, enthusiast, or someone looking to join the classic car world. From wood grain to the stainless trim, it is really something to sit in and be surrounded by 70's American luxury. If you're not into running the A/C, then just hit the dual action power window switch and let the fresh air in as you cruise around town in this smooth floating ride. The leather seats are original and in good condition with minor cracking throughout which would be expected after 47 years. Other options on this pristine Lincoln include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Door Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Tilt Steering Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and thin White Wall Tires wrapped around factory hub caps. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this 1975 Lincoln Mark IV. As the successor of the Mark III, Ford Motor Company chose an evolutionary design path for the Mark IV. Ford designers again using sharp-edged fenders, hidden headlamps, and a tall radiator-style grille, the Continental Mark IV retained the traditional "long-hood, short deck" coupe proportions of the Mark III along with its "Continental spare tire" decklid. This Mark IV is shown in its original Aqua blue paint called “diamond fire”. The cars exterior finish is pristine and shows looks awesome in the sunshine. The blue vinyl top is also in fantastic condition. It features the popular 460 CID V8 that is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Both drive train components run very well with no issues. The car rides like it’s on a cloud and is a pleasure to drive. All accessories on the car work as they should. All weather seals are in great condition, including the glass it surrounds. The exterior trim, bumpers, light lenses, & more are all in very nice condition. Looking towards the interior the plush leather seats & door panels, carpet, headliner, & seatbelts are all in excellent condition. On the dash, you will find all working Cartier gauges on this signature Mark IV. The car sits on its original Lincoln hub caps wrapped in Michelin tires with plenty of tread on them left. The Mark IV’s engine compartment & trunk are also in great condition, it looks as if this car has been indoors its entire life! Other notable features include; AC (blows cold!), AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, tilt steering wheel, leather interior, & white wall tires. This Mark IV is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to a collection or to use as a daily driver! Our newest arrival at the Gateway Classic Cars Chicago, IL showroom is not for the average auto collector. At GCC, we embrace the enthusiasts that hold a devotion to big, beautiful cars from off the beaten path. When selecting American luxury, many have placed their votes with GM’s division of Cadillac, only to find themselves lost in a sea of trend followers. However, throughout the years, if you wanted to be taken seriously as a true individual with class, you rocked a Lincoln. Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, Frank Lloyd Wright, and countless US Presidents would all agree with this opinionated declaration. Take a long gaze at this gorgeous 1978 Lincoln Mark V. With an impeccably clean interior and exterior, this is a shining example of everything previously mentioned; Command, luxury, and innovation. This year of the Mark V was the very last that offered the iconic 460 CID big block as an option. Like many other Mark V’s, this one was custom-ordered by the original owner to include cruise control, power windows, power brakes, power steering, power mirrors, and even an 8-Track radio. It continued life with a second owner, and currently awaits a third under our roof here in Chicago. The 80’s would be the reveal of the all-new shared Lincoln Continental and Mark VI bodyshell was based upon the “Panther” platform utilized by Ford and Mercury.
