Offered for sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1996 BMW 328i RMS convertible. The first owner had the car modified by Race Marque Systems of Van Nuys, California in 1997 with many M3 components, as convertible E36 M3s were not available until the following year. Extensive work to the M52 inline-six included stroking it to 3.2 liters and adding a supercharger. An M3 automatic transmission was also installed along with Koni shocks and sway bars. The brake system from an E36 M3 was fitted in order to help manage a reported output of 396 horsepower. The Arctic Silver Metallic (309) paint is accented by M Sport pin striping with RMS (Race Marque Systems) logos. M3 badging has been fitted to the exterior, with a rear M3S badge signifying the supercharged power plant. E36 M3 wheels, front and rear bumpers, and side skirts have also been added. The suspension has been upgraded with an RMS Stage Three sport suspension package, which included adjustable Koni shocks and sway bars. M3 control arms, axles, caster bushings, and brakes were also installed. The 2.8-liter M52 inline-six was stroked to 3.2 liters by adding a 3.2 crank and shorter rods. An M3 5-speed automatic transmission with Racelogic shifter was added, as was an RMS Stage Two supercharger package with Powerdyne centrifugal blower. In addition, the engine was upgraded with the following performance components: RMS Super Sport head, RMS cams, RMS aftercooler, Motorsport strut brace, RMS-programmed M3 ECU, RMS 24 lb/hr fuel injectors, M3 wiring harness, M3 mass air sensor, RMS T304 stainless steel header, and RMS cat-back exhaust system. 1988 BMW M6

1988 BMW M6

Engine: 3.5L I6 F DOHC
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual w/ OD
Mileage: 45,782 ( actual )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this classic 1988 BMW M6. It is powered by a 3.5L/256hp inline-six engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is a beautiful example of a rare BMW M6. Values on M6’s are constantly increasing from year to year. Currently they are still affordable but who knows how long before they become a six-figure collectible car. Engine sizes gradually increased to 3.2-liters then 3.5-liters, but the 6-Series really hit a bullseye with the M635CSi, which appeared at Frankfurt in 1983. Apart from the 282-bhp M1 engine, it had a limited-slip differential and the “track link” suspension from the big 7-Series sedans, which was designed to reduce oversteer. ABS brakes arrived at the same time, along with a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed ZF automatic. Badged simply as the BMW M6, the 635CSi finally reach the U.S. in 1987, lavishly equipped with twin air-conditioners (and a beverage chiller in the rear), hand-stitched Napa leather interior with eight-way power front seats, and an eight-speaker sound system. Distinctive M6 details included M badges front and rear, a larger front air dam and rear spoiler, and matching color side mirrors. The cars were fitted with new ellipsoid headlights, which directed a more precise beam onto the road. The M6 could manage 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds, a quarter mile in 14.7 seconds and cruised easily at 140 mph. It retailed for $55,950. BMW electronically limited even its sportiest models to 155 mph in the U.S., but Rug Cunninham BMW ran a de-limited M6 in the 1989 La Carrera Pan American race in Mexico and reported a top speed of 176 mph. In all 5,859 M 635 CSi cars were built between 1983 and 1989, with 1,787 of those being the slightly detuned U.S. model BMW M6. The Original Wheels and Exhaust are available with this vehicle. 1988 BMW M3

1988 BMW M3

Engine: 2.3L L4 MPI DOHC
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual w/OD
Mileage: 56,902 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1988 BMW E30 M3. The M3 was originally introduced to battle head to head with Mercedes in Group A Touring Car racing. Little did they know it would become one of the most notable cars from the 80’s. In recent years collectors have took notice driving the prices of these beautiful European racers through the roof and still climbing. This example is an extremely original 88 E30 M3 owned by the same gentleman until recently being liquidated due to unforeseen reasons. The new owner has gone through the car and has it running in tip top shape. The silver paint has been massaged back to its original luster with the car looking like it has 6000 miles instead of the 56000. The aftermarket wheels are the only thing not original to the car but were the must have on these cars when they were released. The real deal OZ racing wheels add a flare to the car that the originals were lacking. Under the hood the engine that started the whole craze is siting nicely in place and has never even been out of the car. The manual 5 speed transmission reminds you that this is not your daughters BMW. The leather interior is in unbelievable condition especially with it being almost 30 years old. The powered sunroof is a treasured feature and one that is sure to be put into beneficial use. With the market for these European racers becoming the new it cars this example will surely be snatched up quicker than you can say M3. Options on this 1988 M3 E30 include, AC, AM/FM/CD, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Cruise Control, Tilt Steering, Leather Interior, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. 2002 BMW M3

2002 BMW M3

Engine: Supercharged 3.2L L6
Transmission: SMG Manual/Automatic
Mileage: 64,518 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a stunning 2002 BMW M3. BMW's M cars are world renowned performance vehicles based on standard BMW models. Perhaps the most well known is based on the 3 series: the M3. M3's have set the standard for performance sedans since the late 1980s. The e46 generation has become one of the most popular generations because of its silky smooth 3.2 Liter Inline 6. From the factory the 6 banger was good for 333 Horsepower. In factory trim, they're great fun to drive and extremely comfortable as well. This particular e46 has been upgraded for performance with an Active AutoWerke supercharger kit. This kit includes a Rotrex supercharger, a front mount intercooler and fuel system upgrades. With these upgrades, the estimated horsepower is around 500. Needless to say, this is a healthy bump from stock which means it's just that much more fun to drive. This M3 has the optional SMG2 transmission which is a manual transmission which has multiple manual and automatic modes. This transmission is great for the driving enthusiast who likes the feel of shifting a race car. That said, there are automatic modes that make it just as easy to drive as any old automatic. In addition to having some awesome performance, the M3 is also a handsome vehicle to behold. The sharp looking body is covered in a rare factory color: Laguna Seca Blue. Inside the upholstery is in Dove Gray which is in nice shape. Overall this is a very nice high performance vehicle which could easily be driven daily. Whether you're a Bimmer nut, or you just want a sharp fast car to drive to work, this M3 would be a great fit. You can see this 2002 BMW M3 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
