Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this sweet 1968 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Between the big block power and the iconic C3 lines, this car is sure to get attention wherever it goes! Under the hood of this beauty is the big, bad 427 Tri-power V8. In the summer time, the driver will appreciate the removable T-tops that allow for plenty of fresh air and sunshine. If it's too hot for that, the driver will appreciate the equipped A/C. The exterior of this sweet ride is finished in classic corvette bronze paint that shows well and has a lot of metallic flake in it. In the sun, this car looks stunning. Engine: 427 435HP L71Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 45,896 ( undocumented )
1969… That was the year for the L-71 Corvette and we have a stunning blue on blue Corvette here for sale. It features an L-71 427ci 435hp tri power car. It is in amazing condition and features a 4 speed manual transmission. Take a closer look at this beauty! In 1969, Tire size remained the same, although this was the first year for optional white lettered tires and the last for red striped tires. Carried over from the previous year were seven available rear axle ratios ranging from 2.73 to 4.56. Standard ratio remained 3.08 with automatic and 3.36 with manual transmission. The optional Positraction rear axle, mandated on many engine/gearbox combinations, was installed on more than 95% of the cars. "Stingray" script nameplates appeared on front fenders, now one word, in contrast to the “Sting Ray” name used previously. Exterior door handles were redesigned so the finger plate would actuate the door, eliminating the separate release button. Backup lights were integrated into the inboard taillights, headlight washers were added, and front grilles were made all black. Side mounted exhausts and front fender vent trim were options for this year only. On the inside, revised door panels provided additional shoulder room in the C3's tighter cabin and headrests became standard. Steering wheel diameter was reduced from 16 to 15 inches to permit easier entry and exit, the ignition switch was moved from the dash to the steering column, and map pockets were added to the dash area in front of the passenger seat. Accounting for 57% of the cars, coupes with their removable roof panels, began a trend of outselling roadsters. An extended production cycle due to a labor dispute increased '69 volume. This was the last year for the L88 engine and the only year for the ZL1 option, which offered an all-aluminum 427 cu in (7.0 L) big-block engine listed at 430 hp (321 kW). Rare options: ZL1 aluminum block (2), J56 heavy-duty brakes (115), L88 engine (116), L89 aluminum heads (390). This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1969 Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

For sale in our Nashville Tennessee showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette. But not just any 1969 Corvette, this one has had the entire book thrown at it. What book you ask? The book of body modifications. Let’s start at the front end. Under the L-88 hood is a massive 454 Big block with just the right performance upgrades like, Edelbrock ® performer intake topped with a Holley® four barrel carburetor. H.E.I distributor handles the power duties. Now for the body mods! It is hard to see any body modifications other than the Mako shark front end, but if you know where to look and just what a normal 1969 Corvette from the factory should look like, you will begin to see the work and skill it took to make this car. The Mako shark front end flows smoothly into the front wheel flares that follow the original body lines so closely that without another Corvette close by, it is all but impossible to see. The flares around and over the rear tires has been done just as skillfully and the body lines there lead you to the back of this car where you will see right away 1969 Pontiac Trans Am tail lights that have been frenched into the back of this car and into the extended rear end that must have hundreds of hours of molding and sanding. Custom grill, side pipes and custom paint the list goes on and on. Needless to say this is a rolling, driving work of art that is a lot of fun when you slam your right foot down! Engine: 450 small blockTransmission: TH-350Mileage: 9,268 ( undocumented )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Nova. This Nova is way meaner than one may think. Power for this bad machine comes from 450 cubic inch small block using an aftermarket "Rocket" block. This special block allows for a bit more displacement without sacrificing the blocks integrity. The go fast goodies inside include a full solid roller valve train, Manley connecting rods, 10.5:1 JE Pistons, Quick Fuel carburetor and AFR aluminum high flow cylinder heads to name a few. Power is estimated in the 600 horsepower range. Firing up this amazing power plant will impress any gear head. Many would think that an engine with such power and menacing sound would be a difficult one to drive. Believe it or not, this one is very well mannered. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch and is equipped with 3.00:1 gear set for easy highway use. Since the drivetrain build, the car has covered a modest 1,000 miles and is ready for more use and enjoyment. Slowing down such a machine means that drums won't do the job anymore. In place is a new pair of Wilwood front disc brakes while drums remain out back, but still doing their job. Weld Racing wheels look right at home on this Nova as does the Green on Green paint scheme. Adding a little flair to the exterior in addition to the wheels is a set mild stripes that barley show themselves. You may even call them ghost stripes. Inside is stock Nova with exception of the aftermarket gauges. The original bench seat is quite comfy and looks really good. Someone could very easily swap them out for a pair of buckets if they so desired. For more information on this 1970 Chevrolet Nova, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom.
