For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Saddle Tan over Saddle Tan 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. The 63’ “Split Window” Corvette coupe is one of the most iconic, and sough after of all the Corvettes. This 3 owner Corvette sat for over ten years before the complete restoration took place in 1983. True it is an older restoration, but this 63’ Corvette is in very good condition. The Saddle Tan exterior paint, which is more like metallic gold, still shines beautifully. The Saddle Tan leather interior is also in good condition, free from any rips, tears, or signs of wear. Powering this split window Corvette is a 327 CID V8 engine that produces nearly 400 horsepower and has traveled a little over 500 miles since it was installed in 1983. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the IRS and to the pavement. This split-window Corvette for sale is a rare gem, with just over 10,000 produced in 1963. Built to compete with foreign sports cars, this Corvette shed some weight and gained some beautiful curves, adding much more excitement to the daily commute! Known as the "mid-year" Corvette, the C2 was produced from 1963 to 1967, a relatively short run when considering other generations of the Corvette. The odometer reads 32,694, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette include: AM/FM Radio, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. If you're looking for a rare collector’s piece, an iconic piece of American sports car history, or simply a fun driving cruiser to take down to the local show that will drop jaws, this 63 Corvette split-window is more than eager to please! Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this ultra rare and desirable 1966 Shelby GT350 Fastback Mustang. Documentation and known history are two important attributes for collector cars. This 1966 Shelby GT350, SFM6S2185, possesses plenty of both. As noted in the Shelby American Automobile Club’s “Shelby Registry 1965-67,” the GT350 was shipped from the Shelby American assembly facility in Los Angeles to Ford Motor Company in June 1966, then delivered to Courtesy Motors in Littleton, Colorado. In the 1970s, the Shelby was owned by a southern California detective who sometimes used this beauty as an undercover vehicle. Since 1979, it has been in the hands of collectors to ensure it was cared for through the years. During the 1980s, it participated in west coast shows, including SAAC-6 and the Palo Alto Concours D’Elegance. From 1987 to 2013, the GT350 was owned by a private collector; a 1988 restoration resulted in numerous Best of Show awards, perfect scores from both SAAC and the Mustang Club of America, and features in several magazines. “Super Ford” magazine named it “the best Shelby of the year” for 1989. The Guardsman Blue GT350 retains much of its original equipment, including the factory-installed 4-speed transmission and matching-numbers 289 Hi-Po V-8 that was modified to Shelby specs for 306 horsepower. Like all 1966 GT350s, the car was delivered to Shelby American as a K-code Mustang fastback, then upgraded with a Cobra aluminum intake with Holley carb, Tri-Y headers, Koni shock absorbers, rear traction bars, 15-inch wheels, dash-mounted tachometer, competition seatbelts and wood steering wheel. Externally, the Shelby models differed from regular Mustangs with a fiberglass hood with scoop, plexiglas rear quarter windows and side scoops. Only 2,378 were built in total. Orlando Mustang was tapped to complete a restoration on the car in 2014, which resulted in its winning Best in Class awards at the 2104 Keels and Wheels Concours D’Elegance and the 2015 Valero Show. It was featured in the July 2015 “Mustang Times” and displayed at the Bush Library from August to October 2016. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1979 Lincoln MK V. Lincolns from this era were known for their smooth ride. Most people that have owned one or even ridden in one will say that they glide down the highway with ease. This fine example is painted White over a blue cloth interior and rides on a new set of 17 inch wheels and tires. The miles are showing 95,161 but the interior shows as if the car has only 30,000 miles. Obviously this one has been very well cared for over the years. Recent work consists of a new exhaust system, new brakes, new shocks, new fuel tank, wheels and tires. Equipment was plentiful and included Power windows, Power door locks, Power seats, Power mirrors, Power smokers window, Cruise control, AM/FM radio with 8-track player and a Power moonroof. Power comes from the smooth running 400 cubic inch V8. The 460 was optional and did offer a few more ponies but would also have trouble passing up a filling station. The 400 is the way to go! Power is sent through the stout C6 3 speed automatic transmission and back to the rear end that is housing a set of highway gears making highway travel a bit easier. This Collector Series is an eye catcher of a car and newly added to the car is a set of 17 inch wheels shod with new radial rubber. The 17 inch tires have a shorter sidewall and offer a more modern feel to the road thanks to less flex from the sidewalls. For sale is this beautiful 1979 Lincoln Mark V is in our Louisville showroom. The owner’s Grandfather bought it new in 1979. The grandson has inherited this but has decided it is time to find it a new home. This great big ol’Mark V only has 60144 miles. There are still tons of miles to be enjoyed with this one. By the time the late 70’s rolled around there was a one thing cars had in common and that was size. Cars of that era were huge and this Mark V is a great example of a personal luxury car as the market was coined. Though you could get a Gran Prix, Cutlass or even a Thunderbird, none would come close to the Lincoln Mark V. The exterior is in good condition with no signs of rust and what appear to be the original panels. This 4600 LB piece of American art looks great sitting still or cruising down highway as these old boats love to do. With the Hide-away lights and chromed out front end it is easy to see why these are in such demand. Under the hood is where the gloves come off however as this Mark is not your average ride. With the tires, recently balanced and rotated the ride quality is everything you would expect. Open the door and the plush tan leather interior is inviting and is probably even more comfortable than it looks. The interior brings out the landau top and ties everything together nicely. The Personal Luxury Car market is seeing a surge in sales this Mark V should be a solid investment. Options on this 1979 Lincoln Mark V for sale include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD player, Power Windows, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Steel Wheels with Hub Caps and Radial Tires. This 1979 Lincoln Mark V for sale is in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
