1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 53,920 ( undocumented )

The Trans-Am battles for which the Z/28 cars were built need no introduction, but the cars themselves remain somewhat unique in the world of collectable automobiles. Not quite race cars, but equipped with some serious performance hardware. The Z/28 option was a popular option in 1969 due perhaps to the fact of the race-ready hardware. Finding an intact Z/28 that hasn't been abused and thrashed is an exceptionally difficult task. This one is most certainly as nice as they come and has been authenticated by Larry Christensen as a true RS Z28 car. During the meticulous nut and bolt restoration, this Camaro was resprayed in a gorgeous Hugger Orange that fits this car very well. While this car is exceptional in every way, it is the little items that will escape your notice and make it truly remarkable. For example the original trim tag has never been removed from the body adding to the authenticity of this rare piece of American history. In short, this car is as close to the way the factory made it as possible. Of course, at this level, things like the chrome and stainless have been professionally refinished. Badges and emblems, including the Z/28 badges on the front fenders and the '302' badges on either side of the cowl induction hood, are either exact duplicates of the originals, or perfectly preserved NOS items. The Rally Sport Package being added brings along the concealed headlights, special grille, wheel opening moldings and bright exterior accents. Under the hood sits the DZ 302 cubic inch V8 that is the basis for this car being such a sought-after piece of classic car history. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications and remains in show condition today. The paint on the block and heads is crisp and clean, the satin black air cleaner wears the correct decals, and the spark plug wires are accurate reproductions. Even the unique exhaust manifolds look like they've just popped out of the molds and show no signs of heat cycling or corrosion. Looking underneath this beauty, the chassis tells the same story of attention to detail. Transferring the power to the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end is a Muncie M-22 close ratio 4-Speed manual transmission that not only shifts great but really makes you feel one with this machine while you are behind the wheel. If you are lucky enough to sit in the interior of this Camaro you will appreciate the fit and feel of the like new hounds tooth interior. Helping this car sounds like it should is the chambered exhaust system that has a very tame idle but when you roll on the accelerator pedal it lets others know you mean business. Wheels are, of course, the timeless 15-inch Chevy Rallyes with correct Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply tires. You can view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 383 CID V8
Transmission: Muncie 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 8,481 ( since rebuilt )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. This Camaro SS has about 10,000 miles since the rebuild. It sports a 383 Muncie 4 speed to propel this restored street brawler in the front of the pack. The 3:54 rear gears are suited for driving between stop lights or down the highway. Vintage Mustang did the rebuild on this hugger orange bad boy. There is a stack of receipts with all the build details which will total over the asking price and that’s before the value of a car was added to the mix. You can be the one to gain the rewards of sweat, time, and funds. The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. This styling would serve for the 1969 model year only. Collectors often debate the merits of smooth, rounded lines of 1967 and 1968 model versus the heavily creased and sportier looks of the 1969. The 1969 model year was exceptionally long, extending into November 1969, due to manufacturing problem that delayed the introduction of the second generation model planned for 1970. It is a popular myth late-'69 Camaros were sold as 1970 models (due to GM publicity pictures of the '69 Camaro labeled as a 1970), but they were all assigned 1969 VIN codes. Options include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Custom Wheels, Vinyl interior, radial tires, seat belts. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up in fresh Yellow paint with black interior. The engine is a 454 block with 427 internals, that is backed up by a 4 speed manual transmission. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! To view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit: www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Engine: 502 CID V8
Transmission: Turbo 400
Mileage: 598 ( since rebuilt )

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pro-Street is the ultimate expression of high-performance, with race-grade equipment and show car looks. This car has the stance, and the attitude to back it up. The stunning black paint is show quality and is complimented by a set of very well done white racing stripes. Chrome bumpers fore and aft add some contrast, with dark-tinted windows to complete the look. There aren't many cars that are more perfectly proportioned than the early Camaro, and the Pro-Street treatment on this one only enhances what is already a slam-dunk design. All of the car is steel with the exception of the hood and trunk lid car and hasn't been radically modified, although a few behind-the-scenes changes were definitely required to get those large meats under the rear fenders. If this were a full race piece, there'd be a bare-bones interior with a single bucket. But in Pro-Street, full interiors are part of the package. High-back Procar buckets are upholstered in black leather, there are beautiful carpets on the floor, and the stock door panels keep with the classic look. In place of the rear seat is a set of fully upholstered wheel tubs that look like they were done to factory specs when the car was new. The original dashboard has been refinished, too, and now carries a beautiful set of Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges in the original pods ahead of the driver. But the crossover to race spec doesn't mean you're roughing it, because there's plenty of sound-deadening material inside. The floor mounted ratchet shifter manages a built TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and a small diameter steering wheel fits the look. In back, the trunk is pretty much full of wheel tubs, a fuel cell, and a battery, and the workmanship of the install is very impressive. You'll get the picture when you open the hood and find a thundering 502 cubic inch big block sporting a Holley. Finished in more polished aluminum parts than you'll find at a Goodguys show, it's a street-legal piece that thinks it was built for the track. There's a pair of ceramic coated long tube headers, and an MSD ignition in addition to all the stout goodies inside. The reinforced chassis carries a coil-over front suspension and a 4-link that carries a narrowed Ford 9” rear end with 4.11 gears inside, so nobody can accuse this of being a race-only piece. Wilwood disc brakes live at all four corners and the full exhaust system sounds simply spectacular. Rolling stock consists of Billet Specialties aluminum wheels with 165/80R15 radials up front and 31x18.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time meats out back. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

Engine: 396 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,430 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer one of the most iconic cars in the history of automobiles - a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. Painted a beautiful shade of Hugger Orange with a white manual convertible top, it'll give you many smiles per gallon. Pair that up with a black and white Houndstooth interior, and this is a color combination that's hard to beat. This car runs, drives, handles, steers, and stops like you'd want and expect it to, the only thing is the current owner does not have the paperwork to document this is originally a big block 4-spd model. He bought the car as seen here, and was never able to confirm that this was the powertrain it had from GM. If it was documented, you better believe the price would be a lot higher and the new owner probably wouldn't drive it for fear of damaging an investment-grade automobile. With this Camaro, you can go out and have fun with it, enjoying the torquey engine, shifting through the gears, and feeling the sun and wind in your face. It also cannot be documented that this is a real RS/SS model, but again, it is now and can be enjoyed as such. It's still "is what it is". It's an attractively priced first gen Camaro equipped just right at a fraction of the price of a documented car. Don't miss this iconic 1969 Chevy Camaro convertible for sale right now in our facility. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Engine: 434 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 703 ( since rebuilt )

The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500

1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: TH350 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 68,012 ( undocumented )

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1978 was the 25th anniversary of the Corvette and GM wanted to capitalize on this prestigious event with a special edition Corvette. After speaking with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, GM was able to obtain the rights to be the pace car for the race. The decision was made to have the car painted black and silver a classic color combination. They had 2 versions with base model having the L48 which consisted of close 75% of the cars. This beauty is one of the more coveted L82 models which was switched out for something that is a little more powerful. The new engine is still a small block, but the displacement has been increased to a total of 454 CI. The balanced and blueprint engine is putting out over twice as much as the original L82 giving this pace car the power it deserves. A blueprint cast iron block was used which allows for a much longer stroke with the forged connecting rods being 6.00. The 950CFM carb feeds just the right amount of fuel and with the engine having a 10:1 compression pump gas works just fine. The TH350 transmission was rebuilt and seems to handle the power extremely well transferring the power to the rear wheels with ease. The custom exhaust really lets everyone know that this is not your normal small block. The interior is clean and original to the car with the weather stripping replaced as well as the T Tops. The exterior of the car looks great with the remaining stickers still in their original box. To top everything off the car is even sold with the original window sticker showing the original 14410.21 sticker price equivalent to almost 54500 dollars in today’s money. If you have been wanting one of these Iconic Pace Cars but the performance wasn’t quite there for you this beauty has that problem squared away. Options on this 1978 Chevrolet Pace Car include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Seat Belts, T-Tops, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Aluminum Wheels, and Leather Interior. Mileage: 2,600 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this legendary American ride, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS to our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! This 1969 Camaro is a true ss that has been transformed into a custom restomod built by THORNTON out of Telford Pennsylvania. This stunning ’69 stands out from other Camaros with its modern fuel injected engine, updated suspension, and smooth shifting new 4 speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet engineers made this production Performance LS3 6.2L Crate Engine to deliver a stunning 495 horsepower and 473 lb.-ft. of torque. This car is the dream mix of bad to the bone appearance with modern fuel injection modern technology. A major benefit of EFI systems is the greatly improved cold and hot starting performance. This follows from the ability of the system to calculate the optimum air/fuel mixture for starting as well as from the superior atomization that results from injection of the fuel as compared to fuel delivery from a carburetor. If you take a peak under the car you will notice that this car could be literally eaten off of. The HEDTS suspension for the front and rear are all new and set up to be a comfortable driver with coil over shocks. This Camaro SS is set up with a Ford 9” rear end and has amazing stopping power with its adjustable master cylinder and Corvette style disc brakes. This car rumbles with its duel exhaust in idle and has a pure performance feel when accelerating. The style of this car comes from the exterior with its beautiful dark red paint, white hockey stick stripes, and white SS badges. The aggressive stance comes from its deep dish offset 18” in the front and 20” in the rear custom wheel setup. Matching the white accents on the exterior, the interior has comfy white leather bucket seats. The modern feel follows to the inside of the car with its custom sound system and Bluetooth paring abilities. This car is a dream to drive with tons of extras like power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, and even a tilt steering wheel. Whether you are a collector who wants to put mirrors on the ground and win trophies at shows across the nation or even someone who wants something to enjoy the drivability and put some miles on this beautiful machine, this ’69 SS is perfect for all hobbyists.
