For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up in fresh Yellow paint with black interior. The engine is a 454 block with 427 internals, that is backed up by a 4 speed manual transmission. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! To view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. A Tremec 6-speed manual transmission transfers the 500+ horsepower to the 12 Bolt rear end with Moser axles and 3.91 gears. Heidts tubular controls arms with aluminum adjustable coil overs are up front while Hotchkis frame rail connectors and adjustable traction bars have been added in the rear to greatly improve the suspension and ride quality. Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this super clean 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale. Between the powerful engine and the sharp looking exterior, this car is sure to put a smile on your face. Under the hood of this beauty is a 383 CID stroker V8 that runs well thanks to the rebuild by Lumberton Garage less than 500 miles ago. Sending that small block power to the Eaton 3.55 rear end is a new Turbo 350 transmission. Overall, this car is absolutely stunning in the way it performs and drives. Upon entering the car, the driver will be greeted by a black faux ostrich skin/vinyl interior that is in good condition. This car is equipped to keep the driver comfortable all year round with A/C that blows cold and heat that blows hot. Continuing with driver comforts, this car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. If the driver ever tires of the sound of bald eagles escaping from the V8, the included AM/FM radio/CD player will surely come in handy. Overall the interior of this car is in good condition and fairly comfortable. The exterior of the car is finished in a bright orange paint that is in good condition and shows well. At the front of the car where "350" badges would be, there are "383" badges instead to represent that this small block is a stroker. Supporting each corner of the car are rally wheels that are wrapped in radial tires with decent tread life left in them. Overall, this is a solid car that needs a new owner to drive the snot out of it! Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to offer this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 Pace Car Coupe! First, some history of the Z10, as excerpted from Chapter 12 of "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book" by John R. Hooper. PACE CAR HARDTOP - THE Z10 COUPE "Since 1969, the controversy over a Pace Car hardtop has existed. For many years, hobbyists and other so-called experts had different opinions on the existence of these cars. Finally, after many years the truth has come out. Yes, the Z10 Camaro does exist. It is thanks to the many Camaro clubs and enthusiasts whose efforts have brought the facts about these cars to light. The basic Z10 package has Rally Sport and Super Sport equipment, code 50-50 paint, cowl induction hood, and 396 or 350 cubic inch V8 engine. The transmission combinations from the automatic to the four-speeds were the same as the Pace Car convertibles. Most of the Z10 cars had factory air conditioning. Any option that was available for the Z11 Pace Car convertible was also available on the Z10. Different interiors used on the hardtop version consisted of 711 black standard, 712 black custom, 713 black houndstooth, 727 ivory standard, and 729 ivory houndstooth. It is rumored that interior 720 orange houndstooth could also be ordered. Some of the options used were rosewood steering wheel, tilt steering column, fold down rear seat, a factory 3-speed transmission with console on the floor, vinyl roof cover, among others. The Z10 cars were a Southwestern Regional promotional car offered to a small number of dealerships in the Southwestern Branch Zone Office during Indy race time. We know now that they were available in Texas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Arizona, and possibly other states. We may never know exactly how many were built, however we believe it to be between 200 and 300 built at Norwood. There were no records kept at Chevrolet Motor Division's offices. Since this was a one-time promotion, the customer did not have a chance to order the car but had to buy it off the dealer's lot. The Z10's appear to have been built between 04C (third week of April) to 05A (first of May) -- possibly longer...While these cars do not compare in rarity with COPO or ZL-1 cars, they still hold a place 1969 Camaro history." Now - about the one we have: like all Z10 Camaros, it is wearing a glistening coat of Dover white, with contrasting Hugger Orange stripes. This one shows a date code of 05A, designating a build date of the 1st week of May, 1969. Under the hood is a 350 CID V8 (300HP), one of the two available engine options for the Z10. The mighty mouse is mated to a smooth shifting Muncie 4 speed manual, which sends the twist to the 12 bolt rear end. Twist the ignition key, and it fires right up into a nice rich burble, sound aided by the addition of some Hooker Competition headers that funnel the exhaust into a well-executed dual exhaust with FloMaster mufflers. Ease it into first, and mash the gas, and you'll remember why you loved these cars so much! While you're cruising, flick on the A/C to keep cool - the system has been upgraded with a new R134 compressor, so it's easily serviceable by any shop. When it's time to get the speed down from the quickly-reached triple digit territory, the front discs are up to the task. Inside, you'll see that the rich black interior looks almost new, with its synthetic leather seating and carpet virtually devoid of any signes of use. The addition of an Autogage cluster by AutoMeter helps the driver keep tabs on critical operating conditions, and the Sunpro Supertach II tach aids in hitting those shift points. Why not own one of these rare pieces of history, before they're all gone?! Options on this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 include A/C, AM Radio, 711 Trim Code Black Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Rallye Wheels with beauty rings, and Seat Belts. For more information on this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro! What powers this one? A bad to the bone 383 CID V8 stroker engine mated to a smooth and easy driving 4-speed automatic transmission. This one is finished in an excellent red color with white touches and features a red interior. One of the worst parts about classic cars is the heat. Many older cars never had air conditioning. This is a Texas car which means it is probably one of the most valuable additions a driver here could ask for. This one has A/C to keep you cool on those hot days! It also features all aluminum heads for better flow into the engine and a roller cam for increased power and efficiency. The car has a 3500-stall converter which will help getting this monster off the line when you’re staged at the red lights on Friday night! Included with this Camaro is an air suspension system which improves ride quality, comfort and the overall appearance of the car. This car features an AM/FM radio and CD player so you can listen to your favorite tunes as you drive around in your fine piece of American automotive history. The first-generation Camaro appeared in dealerships in 1966 for 1967 model year. A brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform was created as a 2-door, 2+2, hardtop or convertible, with the choice of a straight 6 or a mighty V8 powerplant. Almost all 1967-1969 Camaros were built in the two U.S. assembly plants in Norwood Ohio and Van Nuys California. There were also five non-U.S. Camaro assembly plants in countries that required local assembly and content. These plants were located in the Philippines, Belgium, Switzerland, Venezuela and Peru. In 1969 the Camaro carried over the previous year’s drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a much sportier look. The grille featured a heavy “V” can’t and deeply inset headlights. The Camaro go new door skins, rear quarter panels and rear valance panel which gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The 1969 model year was exceptionally long, extending into November 1969, due to manufacturing problem that delayed the introduction of the second-generation model planned for 1970. It is a popular myth late-'69 Camaros were sold as 1970 models (due to GM publicity pictures of the '69 Camaro labeled as a 1970), but they were all assigned 1969 VIN codes. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is for sale in our Houston Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this beastly 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible PRO-MOD! Beastly for this car is NO UNDERSTATEMENT as looking through the photos and watching the video, will show exactly why. If you’re not a fan of photos, and video simply continue reading. This “body-off” pro-mod is powered by a Kenne Bell supercharged Turn Key LS3 said to put out over 1,000HP. The heads are Dart PR01’s and makes this car a true monster for the road. This car flies through the powerband with the Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The power is put to the ground through the 12-bolt Detroit Speed rear end. With this much power the key is to keep it cool, so the car is fitted with a Be Cool dual core radiator. This car gets plenty of traction through the massive rear tires that are Michelin Pilot Sport 335/30 ZR20 which some tubbing mods had to be made for a nice fit. The front tires are also Michelin Pilot Sport but sized at 255/35 ZR19. The COR Forged wheels look great on this beauty and are on great condition. The drilled and slotted disk brakes are fitted with a nice set of yellow accented BAER 6P calipers and provides more than enough stopping power. The brakes get their stopping power from the very nice HydraTech brake booster. If the overall appearance simply isn’t enough to turn someone’s head, the Hooker headers attached to the Magna-Flow dual exhaust system is surely going to make people start rubber-necking. The car also features adjustable coil-over shocks to provide a smooth ride, not that it matters when your ripping through the powerband. The exterior of the car is a clean black and is in good condition. All the body lines on this car are almost perfectly straight and shows how well this car was restored and how much attention to detail was applied. If you’re a fan of American Muscle this car is worth seeing in person. Moving inward would will see a fully custom interior. The custom stitched dash and door panels are in great condition and match the Recaro seats very well. The car features a very comfortable MOMO steering wheel, along with a set of Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite gauges to make you aware of everything going on. This car is absolutely a beauty both inside and out and needs a new owner to let it scream down the pavement again. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS. Let’s answer the main question everyone is asking themselves. Is it a “REAL” SS? The answer is…Yes, this is absolutely a real ‘67 Nova SS car with a 118 VIN number Super Sport. This is one of the most sought after Nova’s made. The body style for this Nova was only a two-year run. 1967 marked the last year of the shoebox Nova style. In 1968, Chevrolet would turn to a more rounded slant back body style. This is the type of Muscle Car one dreams about. Does it get any better than a Marina Blue ‘67 SS car? No! The paint glistens even though it was restored back in 1987. The chrome gleams accenting the aggressive Nova look these cars are known for. Add in the fact that it has Crager S/S wheels all the way around the car, keeping it true to its lineage. When you look inside, you will notice how nice of condition the black deluxe interior is in. Sporting the bucket seats with the SS console your eyes are drawn to the 4-speed shifter. Yes, you read correctly, 4-speed. The Muncie 4-speed manual transmission is the staple of any “true” muscle car. Also, located on the inside of this “Deuce Coupe” is A/C for those hot summer days cruising the town. Now to the most important part of any muscle car. What’s under the hood? What else would be under the hood other than a nicely built 327. Again, the same theme keeps popping up here; This is an authentic-real-true muscle car. The 327 is dressed and displays high performance upgrades, such as the Edlebrock Hi-rise and Holley carburetor. The snappy V8 motor with an attitude has camel hump heads and breathes through Flowmaster Exhaust. Options include AM/FM Radio with USB, A/C, Spare Tire, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Front Disc Brakes, Dual Mirrors, Tinted Glass, and a Cowl Hood.
