Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to offer a highly desirable 1969 Ford Torino Cobra. This Cobra has the famous R code, Ram-Air equipped, 428 Cobra Jet engine! The rebuilt R code engine is mated to a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. The Ram Air Cobra had a fully functional hood scoop. This air conditioned car has both power steering and power brakes making for a great driver. The Torino Cobra has the Cobra nameplate on the back, making for an interesting debate as to whether this was called the Ford Cobra or Ford Torino Cobra.
The Cobra came standard with a competition suspension. It also came with a blacked out grille, hood lock pins, and Cobra emblems. This car has plenty of get-up-and-go, with plenty of torque. This is clearly evident when driving the car. The sound coming from the dual exhausts is like music. Inside this beautiful Cobra you will find a black vinyl interior with a center console. The attention to detail is impressive which can be seen on the stitching around the gauges and trim on the dash. Four headlights up front give this Cobra the recognizable Torino look.
This is truly a collector’s item and is only going to appreciate in value. This Cobra is a gem. Get it while you still can!

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This 1970 Mach 1 for sale in covered in iconic Grabber orange with black rally stripe and looks like it just drove out of the showroom for the first time. With the speed of sound being around 761 miles per hour and this speed being designated Mach1, Ford produced Mustangs with this title to let you know just how fast it was. Sitting between the front shock towers is the small block Ford that a lot of big blocks chased back then. The 351 Windsor and sitting on top of this power plant is an Edlebrock® performer 351-w intake with one of Vic’s own Carburetors. This of course provides plenty of power to blister the poor rear tires on this incredible pony car. Bolted to the back of this Engine is a 4-speed manual transmission giving the driver more control of just how long the rear tires last and of course how much smoke he put in the face of the Challenger behind him. The rear axle housing is Fords finest, a 9 inch that houses a 3.50 gear set. Maybe this should be a Mach2? With all this go, there must be enough whoa to go around so, power disc on every corner provide all you will need. Open the driver’s door and slide in to the control seat, let your left foot get used to the throw on the clutch, while your right finds the limit of the loud pedal. While getting used to the controls, take a look around at the like new high-backed bucket seats, center console, dash, carpet and head liner and try to remember that it is 2018 and not 1971. While sitting behind the wheel just try to not run through the gears and imagine the wild ride you could give this car, heck you would make Ken Block want to watch your you tube video. Heck I’ll watch it, I am a sucker for a fastback Mustang and this one is as good as it gets! Options for this 1970 Mustang Mach 1 for sale include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, Power steering and Brakes, Seat belts Posi Traction and Radial tires. Engine: 302 CID V8Transmission: 4 Speed ManualMileage: 17,364 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom is a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302. The Camaro/Mustang rivalry had begun in 1967 with the introduction of the Chevrolet Camaro by General Motors. The Camaro was the largest threat to the lead Ford had in the "pony car" field, a market segment largely created by Ford with the introduction of the Mustang in mid-year 1964. The performance of the Mustang with 289 and 390 engines was not up to the Camaro, with its small block and big block V8. In an effort to improve the Mustang's image Ford made a 428 Cobra Jet V8 and a Ford Boss 302 engine optional for the 1968 mid-year and 1969 models, respectively. The 1969–70 Boss 302 (Hi-Po) engine was created in 1968 for the SCCA's 1969 Trans-Am road racing series. Available in the Boss 302 Mustangs of 1969–70, it's a unique Ford small-block engine featuring a thin-wall, high nickel content block casting. It differed substantially from regular 302s, with 4-bolt mains, screw in freeze plugs, and heads using a canted valve design being developed for the planned 351 Cleveland (which debuted the following year). The construction was aided by the two engines sharing a cylinder head bolt pattern, though the Boss 302 heads had to have their coolant passages slightly modified. This optional engine, and indeed the entire vehicle package, including handling and aerodynamic aids, was made available for the express purpose of meeting the guidelines to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series, which limited engine displacement to 305 C.I.D. (5.0L) in order to compete. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1970 Ford Mach 1. The Mach 1 package was only available in the 'SportsRoof' body style (previously known as the 'Fastback'); never on the hardtop or convertible. Many resto-mod visual conversions have since been performed by owners and enthusiasts, but are not Mach 1's by VIN code. The Mach 1 started with V8 powered 'Sportsroof' body and added numerous visual and performance enhancing items such as matte black hood treatment with hood pins, hood scoop (including optional Shaker scoop), competition suspension, chrome pop-open gas cap, revised wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires, chrome exhaust tips (except 351W 2V), deluxe interior, livery and dealer optional chin spoiler, rear deck spoiler, and rear window louvers (SportSlats). Mach 1s came with upgraded suspension to varying degrees dependent upon powertrain choices. Big block cars had front shock tower reinforcement, thicker sway bars (no rear bar for 69), and heavier springs and shocks. 428 CJ/SCJ 4 speed cars also came with staggered rear shocks. Standard on Mach 1s was a fierce but cosmetic hood scoop that had integrated turn-signal lights mounted in the back. A more functional option was the signature "Shaker hood", an air scoop mounted directly to the top of the motor, used to collect fresh air and so named for its tendency to "shake" above the rumbling V-8 below. The interior came complete with teak wood grain details, full sound deadening material and high-back sport bucket seats. Ford kept the Mach 1 alive into 1970 and little changed other than the visuals. The 1970 body included dual-beam headlights with the previous inner headlights becoming sport lamps and recessed taillights on a black honeycomb rear panel, side scoops behind both doors removed, revised bucket seats, deep dish sports wheel covers, as well as new side and rear badging and striping were the main visual differences. 1970 saw the previous 351W V8 engine options replaced with a new 351 cu in (5.8 L) Cleveland (351C) V8 in either 2V (for use with 2-venturi carbs) or 4V (for use with 4-venturi carbs) versions. The 351C 4V (M code) engine featured 11.0:1 compression and produced 300 bhp (224 kW; 304 PS) at 5400 rpm. This new performance engine incorporated elements learned from the Ford 385 series engine and the Boss 302, particularly the poly-angle combustion chambers with canted valves and the thin-wall casting technology. Options include: Power Steering,Power Brakes, Rally Wheels, AM/FM Radio w CD, Vinyl interior, radial tires. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a one owner, low mile 1994 Ford F150 SVT Lightning. This was the second year for the Lightning and it was clear that Chevy was worried as they discontinued their SS 454 Silverado. Excellent job Ford! These have been collector pieces since new and low mileage examples are becoming much more difficult to find. With 39,071 miles and a one owner status, you would be hard pressed to find a better example to add to your collection. Power for the Lightning comes from an SVT built 5.8L 351 that is equipped with GT40 heads, roller camshaft, free flowing exhaust and a special tune. A 4-Speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear end that houses 4.10 gears. Wheels were a Lightning only design and were aluminum 17x8 wheels. With 240 horsepower and a stump pulling 340 lbs./ft. of torque, there's no trouble melting the rear tires if one chooses to do so. An interesting factoid for this particular Lightning is that is was equipped from the factory with dual 34.7 gallon fuel tanks. The odometer reads 39,071, which represents the actual mileage on the truck. Options for this 1994 Ford F150 SVT Lightning include: Air conditioning, Pioneer AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Cloth Interior, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cruise Control, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This example is a beautiful merlot convertible with a matching hard top and soft top with a very attractive sand leather interior.
