Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this red 1972 Jaguar XKE. The E-Type is one of the icons of its generation as it made great head way with the high performance, low pricing, and sleek beauty all in one.
This ’72 XKE features the strong and original 5.3L V12 which is still in great running condition. It's stated by the owner that the mileage is original to the car, however the engine has been rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt roughly 10,000 miles ago along with the rear differential. What was done to the engine was the stock pistons removed and replaced with forged 10.5 compression Venolia pistons and rings. High lift and duration cam shafts were also installed. The engine is mated up to a Richmond Racing 6-speed manual transmission which allows you to run through the powerband with a smile on your face. This car may not be the cleanest of the Jaguars out there but a great driver and a good start into the classic car world.
A survivor is the best way to describe this ’72 Jaguar XKE that we have here for sale. With a few blemishes, it simply adds history to the car and shows that even after 47 years a car can still run like a champ.
The interior has been completely restored less than 6 months ago and is in great condition. The tan vinyl interior has been restored to replicate the original leather interior the car had. Sitting in the driver’s seat feels like you’re sitting in a cockpit to a fighter jet. With the main control panel centered on the dash you can see it gives it that aircraft feel. For sale in our Atlanta Showroom is a steel body 1932 Ford Sedan Delivery. An original Barry Lobeck built hot rod for sale, this '32 has a provenance that's hard to beat. This little 32 Sedan Delivery for sale was spared at no expense and shows, in the quality of this build! With only 158 miles on the complete odometer, it's barely broken in and is ready for the show circuit or any late night cruise! Powering the hot rod is a stunning 355 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 engine. Starting life as your standard 350 Chevy, this engine was then bored .030 over and dressed with more goodies than you can shake a stick at. When hearing the gear drive whine and the gasp' of the Edelbrock dual-quads opening up, you can tell that this Ford means business. The coated headers run through a dual exhaust system that's music to any car enthusiasts ears. Backing that small block is a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Nothing says custom hot rod for sale like a 350/350 engine/tranny set-up! The transmission churns the power down to a built Ford 9" rear end with coil-overs and ladder bars. With 3.50 gears, it's the right mix of street cruising manners and street bruising launches. The power is put to the pavement through a set of staggered aluminum/alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich performance radial tires. With all of this power and GO, you're going to need some STOP too! SoCal ordered Wilwood disc brakes sit up front while polished finned drums poke out from beneath the deep dish wheels. With a suspension this nice, you need an exterior to match. The body is an all steel beauty, with a stunning Black paint job. Walking around this '32 Ford for sale, you see all the elegant and subtle touches, like custom mirrors, louvered 3-piece steel hood, and tasteful pinstriping. You know you have a one-off show piece when you have a vehicle that looks equally as good in "black-and-white" as it does in color. The interior is so simplistic, it's almost modern. The Stewart Warner gauges are gorgeous and luxurious, especially when added to the custom gauge cluster. The woodgrain pieces make the cab feel warm and cozy. The suede leather bucket seats are matched throughout the cab with a deep and rich brown hide. The smell alone, is almost intoxicating. Options on this 1932 Ford for sale, include: A/C, cassette, cruise control, power windows, tilt/telescopic wheel, keyless entry, leather interior, and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. This 1999 Shelby Series 1 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The name Shelby has been associated with unbelievable street machines since the early sixties. From his original AC Cobra to his work with the Dodge Viper team the man had done work with all three of the big American brands. The only thing he had not done was build a car from the ground up which beginning in 1997 that would all change. The Series one was the only car produced by Shelby from a clean slate. From the aluminum chassis to the curvaceous lines of the body the Series 1 was all Shelby. The 249 production cars made were all titled as 1999’s though there were others produced as component cars the original production cars are the ones that are true collectors. This beauty has lived a pampered life with less than 2700 miles on the odometer this Series 1 is ready to be put into another collection. The carbon fiber body is in excellent condition, showing no signs of abuse or neglect, she truly is a remarkable example. The silver paint was chosen by Shelby as he felt any other color would take away from the cars lines. The only option available was a set of racing stripes in multiple colors making this all silver one a rare find. The huge opening in the hood is reminiscing of the classic 60’s Leman racers that Carrol had beat with his GT40. The vents in the side have a C3 Corvette feel to them with the rear end having its own unique look. Under that hood is a GM based 4.0 V8 putting out 320HP. Mated to a ZF 6 speed transmission the car is all business. Inside this Series 1 is a seat of Black leather buckets with Carroll Shelby’s signature stitched in the back. With multiple Shelby checkered Snake eyes placed here and there you are reminded that this is what Shelby always wanted his Cobra to be. The fact they only made 249 of these cars is truly amazing. With this one though having the stripe delete option it truly is like finding a needle in a haystack. AC, AM/FM/CD, Power Brakes, Manual Convertible Top, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Power Windows, Tilt Steering Wheel, Aluminum Alloy Wheels with Radial tires. For more information on this 1999 Shelby Series 1, please call the Louisville showroom at (812) 294-1555 or email us at louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: LS3 6.2L V8Transmission: 5-Speed ManualMileage: 1,390 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this stunning 1966 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Between the modern powertrain and the classic styling, this car is definitely a show stopper. Under the "Stinger" hood of this beast is a Chevrolet LS3 that would have been found in a more modern C5 Vette. Upon starting the engine, everyone around can hear the deep, burbly sounds of the side pipes. This swap not only provides much more power and drivability to the car, but it also makes servicing much easier considering that all of the parts needed for the engine are still mass produced by companies for GM. As for the engine itself, it runs very strong and brings as much power to the car as a big block would have back in the day (hence the big block hood). Sending that modern power to the rear end is a five speed manual transmission that shifts firmly through the gears with an extremely short shifter throw. This car having a modern powertrain, of course it has disc brakes all around that provide a good initial bite along with firm stopping power thanks to a wilwood master cylinder. Moving outward, the exterior of the car is finished in a traditional light blue metalic that looks very nice and correct for the era of car. Finishing the stinger hood is a white stripe. Overall the paint is in very good condition and shows well. Supporting each corner of this beauty are chrome alloy wheels wrapped in low profile performance tires with good life left in them likely sourced from a C5. The white soft top is also in very good condition and moves freely as it should. Upon entering the cabin, the driver will be greeted by a light blue interior to match the exterior. Overall, the interior is in very good condition and accents the excellent work performed on the powertrain and suspension. The vinyl seats provide plenty of comfort while still maintaining decent support for cornering. In the summer months, the driver will appreciate the convertible soft top that lets in plenty of sunshine and fresh air.
