Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this way cool 1949 ford Coupe. Between the patina exterior finish and the large V8, this car is sure to be a fun cruiser.

Providing the power to this vintage coupe is a 425 CID V8 that had a complete rebuild less than 500 miles ago. When driving the vehicle, the engine definitely shows that it has been rebuilt and pulls strong under acceleration. This beauty also idles nicely. Keeping the engine cool are dual electric cooling fans attached to an alluminum radiator. The fuel is sent from a new gas tank to the engine via an electric fuel pump. The car also features a new Kwik wiring harness for added reliability and safety. Sending the power from that large V8 to the rear end is a rebuilt Turbo-400 3-speed transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. The transmission also features a 2500 stall converter. The rear end is a 9" Ford Detroit locker that has a final drive of 3.55 to allow for quicker acceleration. When it comes time to slow down, the driver will appreciate the disc brakes at all four corners of the vehicle. The tires on the vehicle are whitewall Diamondback tires from BFGoodrich that have good tread life left in them.

Moving outside, the exterior of this sweet ride is finished in a cool rustic maroon patina that really accents the car and the era well. Ensuring that the patina stays looking this good and doesnt deteriorate is a clearcoat over the whole body using DuPont chemicals. All of the correct trim pieces are on the car and have some pitting and patina that adds to the overall look and feel of the vehicle. Also, the rear glass has been replaced.

Moving inward, the Interior has a very minimalistic and vintage feel that goes along well with the patina finish on the body. The front seats have been redone and feature a two tone grey cloth patern. the driver will also appreciate the power steering and power brakes that make the driving of this beauty very easy. Overall this is a seriously cool car and it's solid mechanically.

1950 Ford Woody

1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1948 Ford Pickup

1948 Ford Pickup

Engine: 307 CID V8
Transmission: TH350
Mileage: 1500 ( since rebuilt )

This 1948 Ford pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Rat Rods have been around since the early 70’s but have recently gone mainstream. With there over the top I don’t care what you think style they usually get more attention than a custom show car. This 48 Ford truck was built to drive and get a bunch thumbs up as you go down the road. The body of the truck is in great shape with the satin green really getting people to look twice. With the front grill coming from a 450 Case dozer you can be certain you won’t have to worry about pulling up to another one at the stoplight. The front end has been painted bright red a great accent against that flat green. The flaming river steering box allows for a better feel of the road making the steering more precise. The speedway front calipers work great stopping this ole truck faster than anything in 1948. Under the take-off hood is a rebuilt Chevy 307 that powers this rod down the road just fine. The huge aluminum radiator keeps that small block nice and cool with the electric fan being more of a just in case thing. The huge headers with the collectors coming out each side puts an exclamation point on this radical Rat. Matched up to a rebuilt TH350 that shifts out just as you would expect. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power nicely turning the big back tires with ease. The extremely cool looking aluminum gas tank mounted in the back is classic 60’s era styling. Look inside and a red vinyl bench seat really ties everything together. If you have been wanting to get your hands on a cool ratrod but don’t have the time to build one, this 48 is ready to go. Options on this 1948 Ford Truck include, Custom Wheels with Hubcaps, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. To view this 1948 Ford Truck, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 298 V6
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 32999 ( undocumented )

We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.
