1967 Buick GS 400

1967 Buick GS 400

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 77,539 ( undocumented )

This 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is special car as it carries the new generation V8 motor and sported the out of sight red "Star Wars" air cleaner! The entire GS package was coming together and forming its own identity instead of being an adjunct to the Skylark- Special series. Production of 1967 GS 400 convertibles was low to start with. Only about 2,140 cars in all forms. There were 9 three speed manual cars made and 422 four speed manual cars. Which leads us to our example finished in bright red. The white soft top looks incredible against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. The rich black inside against the shining red paint has the kind of bold and sophisticated presentation you want from a Buick GS. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome GS 400 badges on the door panels, to the Buick crest sitting below the dash. Under the hood this car proudly shows off the 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. After all, this big block V8 with the four-barrel carburetor has an unmistakably powerful rumble from the dual exhaust. And being equipped with the one wire ignition means this is one of the more reliable cars you can get your hands on from this era. You can view this 1967 Buick GS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. The red vinyl interior shows minor wear and tear signs and is overall in great condition. The red paint on this car almost still shines in the sun like the day it was bought back in 1962. All the gauges and dash features are in very clean and working condition. Overall a very nice driver quality car inside and out. The 1962 model sold 153,763, including 42,973 Skylarks. The two speed "Dual Path Turbine Drive" automatic was a Buick design and shared no common parts with the better-known Chevrolet Power-Glide transmission. In 1961, the car returned after a short absence of two years, but this time it was on the brand new unibody compact GM Y platform. The Special was powered by a 155 hp (116 kW) innovative aluminum-block 215 in³ V8, and had Dualpath transmission and power steering.[17] In mid-year a Skylark option was released with special trim, optional bucket seats and a four-barrel version of the 215 that made 185 hp. This 1962 Buick Special Deluxe convertible is perfect for any cruise in car show and would be a great add to any collection. 1968 Buick Riviera

1968 Buick Riviera

Engine: 430 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 56,763 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this incredible one family owned 1968 Buick Riviera located at our Philadelphia showroom in West Deptford, NJ! Starting in the late 1950s, General Motors needed a car that could compete against Ford’s personal luxury offerings. Enter the Riviera, a car that evoked the allure of the famed French coastline and borrowed its sleek styling from Europe’s best. 1968 marked the third year of the second-generation Riviera and this Buick retains much of its originality. While the car received a fresh coat of its factory maroon, the vinyl top is in the same condition it left the showroom in December of 1967. Loop-type bumpers surround this Buick’s recessed crosshatch grille and tail lamps while attractive wheels convey class and elegance. Open the doors to reveal a beautiful original black interior that has been well-kept by the same family for over 50 years! Powering this beauty is the numbers-matching 430 CID V8 engine which replaced the venerable 425 Nailhead that had powered much of Buick’s luxury fleet. The 430 V8, rated at 360 horsepower and 475 lb-ft torque were a vast improvement in performance as well as gas mileage which led to records in unit sales that year. Take a seat and turn the key to hear the beautiful exhaust notes as you cruise down the highway. It’s not often you see gorgeous original examples like this come across the classic market. 1960 Buick LeSabre

1960 Buick LeSabre

Engine: 364 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 51,551 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa Is proud to be able to offer this sleek 1960 Buick LeSabre. This beautiful machine has only 51,551 miles on it and is ready to hit route 66 for a cross country cruise. The 1960 LeSabre received a major facelift, the new body design sharing only the roof and trunk lid with the 1959 model. The new Buick now sported a concave grille and horizontal headlights centered by Buick's then-new "Tri-Shield" logo, which is still in use today. Reintroduced to Electras and other Buicks for 1960 were the chrome "VentiPort" portholes first introduced in 1940 and last seen in 1957. LeSabre and Invicta models had three portholes while Electras and Electra 225s were "four-holers". Inside, a revised instrument panel featured a "Mirromatic" speedometer for which the lens could be adjusted to better visibility to suit the driver. A new two-spoke steering wheel with horn bars was introduced, replacing the time-honored horn ring then still common to most automobiles. The 250- and 300-horsepower 364-cubic-inch V8s were continued from 1959, but a new no-cost option was a 235-horsepower lower-compression two-barrel version of the 364 with a lower compression ratio to permit use of regular-grade gasoline instead of the premium fuel required with all other Buick engines. This Buick two door hard top is in fantastic shape inside and out. The crazy stylish red, black, and white interior is completely redone to feel fresh and in like new condition. Silver paint that shines in the sun with chrome all over the body makes this car very sharp and turns heads anywhere that it goes. The real fun is with the 3 on the tree manual transmission. This car starts right up and runs like a dream. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1960 Buick LeSabre two door hardtop, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com.
