1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 396 L-89
Transmission: M21 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 11,394 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. Engine: 496 CID V8
Transmission: 6-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 13,000 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this mean 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. Between the massive powertrain and the frame-off restomod, this car is a blast to drive! Powering this beauty is a completely built up 496 CID V8 engine that features components including Compstar H-beam connecting rods, Callies steel crankshaft, SRP forged pistons, Comp Cams pro magnum roller rockers and custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft, alluminum heads, Edelbrock 35500 pro flow II 8-port EFI with 60lb injectors, FAST XFI ECU dyno tuned by Murillo Motorsports, Dual programmable electric radiator cooling fans, and a coolant expension tank. All of these parts allowed the car to put down 450hp and 439tq at the wheels. Making this ride sound good are shorty ceramic coated headers that lead to a dual 3-inch crossover Flowmaster exhaust. Sending that power to the 12-bolt rear Posi-trac rear end is a six-speed automatic transmission with programmable paddle shifters. The suspension of this sweet ride has been completely tuned and set up for performace use utilizing Hotchkiss coils, swaybars, heavy-duty tie rod sleeves, and adjustable upper and lower rear trailing arms. The car also features 12-way adjustable shocks. Bringing this big musclecar to a stop are disc brakes at all four corners. Up front are dual piston wilwood calipers fitted around cross drilled, slotted and vented 12 inch rotars. The rear also features dual piston wilwood calipers and slightly larger rotars of the same spec. The exterior is finished in a silver metalic with dual black stirpes that run the length of the vehicle. The paint has some very minor imperfections, but is in good condition overall. The black vinyl top is also in good condition. Supporting each corner of this chevelle are Bonspeed T-Rex polished alluminum wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Moving inward, this beauty is finished with black vinyl that is in very good condition. Sitting below the black vinyl bucket seats is clean black carpet. If the sound of that big V8 ever gets to be to annoying, the driver will appreciate the Alpine receiver/CD/XM radio paired to a JL amp and 4 speakers. 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z51

2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z51

Engine: 6.2L LS3 V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 37,956 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette. Corvettes have been the performance flagship for General Motors since their introduction in 1953. Years later, the Corvette has gotten leaner, lower, sleeker, and a heck of a lot faster. This ’09 comes from the C6 generation and sports the powerful 6.2 Liter LS3 V8 under the hood which is good for a reliable 430 horsepower. C6 buyers had their choice of an automatic, or a 6 speed manual transmission, and this one has the stick. What a fun car to drive: a thumping V8 up front, a 6 speed in the middle, and an independent rear suspension to keep the power on the ground. This is a true driver’s car and still hangs with brand new cars despite being nearly 10 years old. This particular Vette has the Z51 package which fine tunes the suspension even more with stiffer springs, upgraded shocks, upgraded anti-roll bars, and larger brakes with cross drilled rotors. Equipped with the NPP Performance Exhaust, this vette's exhaust goes from mild to wild when you put your foot down! With such an awesome set up, it’s a surprise this car has only 37,956 miles since new. The car is Arctic White which is rather rare; only 863 were painted this color in ’09. The interior features black leather, with plenty of power goodies. Whether you want a car ready for track duty, a Corvette to ad to your collection, or just an awesome daily driver, this 2009 Corvette is a great option. You can see this car in greater detail in our Dallas showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 817-310-9400 or dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquires.

1962 Chevrolet Corvette

1962 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 327 CID V8
Transmission: 4- Speed Manual
Mileage: 175 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this numbers-matching 1962 Chevrolet C-1 Corvette. The final year of the first generation Corvette, this car is adorned with options that would be found on the last of a decade-long body style, including: a wraparound windshield, solid rear axle, and convertible-only body style. The exposed headlamps and trunk lid did not re-appear for many decades. The Corvette line was born in 1953 as a concept entry into the New York Auto Show, known as the Motorama. The response was so great it prompted General Motors to begin limited production for the 1953 model year which launched a legend. This '62 Corvette for sale comes from the same pedigree, and is ready to show and go! Moving this beauty down the road is a classic 327 CID small-block Chevy V8 engine that had a rebuild roughly 500 miles ago. This car runs like a champ and is great for weekend cruises. Rated at 300 horsepower, this Corvette was built for even the most eager thrill seekers. The power plant is coupled with an optional four-speed manual transmission, which offers you the maximum adrenaline rush. Simply put, there is nothing quite like the feeling of motoring along the highways and byways of America in a true American legend. Top down, radio on, exhaust rumbling, and passersby giving you a double-take as you’re hustling her through the twisties. Nestled into a cockpit-inspired cabin with aviation-style instrumentation and wrap around bucket seats, one can truly feel why this car has become the living legend it is. The beige vinyl sport buckets straddle the shifter snugly, begging you to slip in and run through the gears! With an exterior that’s just as sharp as the interior, it’s hard to go wrong with this 1962 Corvette convertible for sale. The classic styling of this C-1 Corvette was a perfect example of the new trend in American styling. The Wineberry Red paint on this C-1 'Vette hugs every sexy curve of this old school cruiser. The raised front and rear fenders makes for a very muscular stance, low to the ground, and very aggressive. The quad headlights and the blacked-out anodized grill completed the concept that had, at that time, taken America by storm. Options on this 1962 Chevy Corvette for sale, include: AM radio, manual convertible top, hard top, seat belts, vinyl interior, and steel wheels with hub caps wrapped in whitewall radial tires. This 1962 C-1 Corvette for sale at our Houston location is an amazing opportunity to own and enjoy one of the true great American sports cars of all time. This car will get up and go.
