Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautifully restored 1947 Kurtis-Kraft Midget #18. This car represents a great example of vintage post-war race car and would look great at any show.
Powering this piece of history is a Offenhauser 110 CID DOHC 4-cylinder motor. This engine features Hilborn fuel injection which is said to be the first fuel injection system created and was desired by many racers of the era. Paired up with the engine is a 2-speed manual “in and out” transmission with your choice of either neutral or GO! The quick-change rear end made this car capable of interchangeable gearing for different racing needs to improve the odds of a win. To provide the stopping power of this beautiful beast is 4-wheel disk-brakes that sit behind 12” aluminum wheels with knock-offs. A complete tubed steel chassis and aluminum dash aided in the car being light weight improving its overall performance. The tires are Firestone 150-12 in the front and M&H Racemaster 150-12 and are in good condition.
For what little interior the car has, it is in very good condition. The car features a black leather racing seat, with the convenience of the drive shaft running through your legs. The aluminum dash has machine turned and shows very well. It’s amazing to see what race cars of that era were like and to compare them with todays monstrous machines. This car would make for a great show piece in anyone’s home or museum, possibly even be taken to your local track permitting it meets the requirements. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this absolutely stunning 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster at our Scottsdale, AZ showroom. This beautiful 'bird from a long-ago era known as the "Jet Age" definitely makes a statement, whether it's sitting still or in motion. A recent recipient of a full frame-off restoration that took nearly three years, nothing on this Black Beauty has been overlooked. Starting with the body, a true Sports Roadster was purchased to start the project that had no rust. It was professionally disassembled, media blasted and straightened, primed, painted, and color-sanded with high-quality PPG products. All of the exterior trim, bumpers, grille, taillight housings, etc. have been sent out for refurbishment to like-new condition. The entire drivetrain was sent out to the most qualified professionals to get everything done right. The engine has been up-graded with Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake, and carburetor. It now produces in excess of 400 HP! Many of the underhood components have taken a trip through the chrome shop and really make the engine pop. Underneath the car, where really nobody looks (but critical) to the functionality, comfort, and safety of driving this Ford classic wherever you may want to go. All major systems, including, front suspension, rear suspension, U-joints, braking system, and exhaust system are fully rebuilt. The interior has new seat covers, new seat foam, new carpet, a new black convertible top, and everything else has been perfectly restored. The car has manual windows, an AM radio that's been converted to AM/FM/Bluetooth, tilt-a-way steering column, power brakes, a fully functional clock, and provisions for air conditioning, although at this time is inoperable. It appears as though the majority of the components are on the car; it just needs to be completed. The convertible top and all associated components work flawlessly and turn this two-seater roadster into an all-weather car in a few minutes with the flip of a switch, all thanks to nearly every part in the system being replaced with new. A three-owner car that has received an amazing restoration and that has traveled less than one hundred miles since completion, along with full documentation confirming that there is well over $150K in this no-expense-spared restoration that had the goal in mind of being one of the top Sports Roadsters in the country. Don't miss this rare opportunity to purchase one of the rarest Thunderbirds ever to leave a Ford assembly plant. You won't have to spend three years to get another car to this level of near perfection. Buy this impressive 'bird now and enjoy it immediately. This 2017 Ford Raptor has gone Rogue! With almost an additional $30,000 invested into the suspension, this Raptor can conquer off road terrain with ease without losing the luxury feel during normal driving. From the factory the Raptor came with 13” of travel in the front and just under 14” in the rear. Now with the complete Rogue suspension components, the stage 16 kit upfront adds an additional 3” of travel and the cantilever rear suspension gained a whopping an additional 6” for a total of 20”! The avalanche white color is a rare color for the Raptors and fits the truck well! The vents on the front fenders were painted to match as well as the aftermarket rogue bumpers. The rogue bumpers both front and rear are from the “enforcer” series of which the company says increases the approach angle to a massive 37°. The bumpers were also equipped with heavy duty off road LED lights. The interior did not need any upgrades from stock and comes loaded down with every option imaginable. The interior came with a high-quality leather that is extraordinarily comfortable and will hold you in your seat. All the controls are intuitive to use and come equipped with many driver assisted options including cameras on front and rear bumpers and under both side mirrors for 360° monitoring. Powering this truck is the twin turbo Ecoboost punching out 450 horsepower from the factory and has had a couple power adders including a Ford Performance exhaust system and cold air intake. If you are looking for a Raptor that is even more capable than factory, but don’t want to spend the additional money to build your own, this truck is the perfect option! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
