Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautiful 1971 Jaguar XKE. This cars combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. This car is estimated to be a sub 7 second car for the 0-60 and makes for a nice fun ride. In 2004 the E-Type was listed the number one sports car of the 60’s. This XKE features the original 5.3L V12 that runs very strong and shifts smoothly through the 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago by the original owner, and can’t wait to have more added to it. This car also features power steering and power brakes to make for a nice driver whenever you want to just take a drive along the coast.
The exterior paint is a very clean Wimbledon White that is in great condition. You’ll find that the chrome accents, bumpers, and lights are all in great condition as well. The car also features a nice set of drilled, and slotted disk brakes on the front of the car. The wire wheels are in great condition, and go very well with the thin white wall tires. The tires might I add, are in like new condition to provide for several miles of cruising left in them.
The interior of the car is in great condition for a 46-year-old vehicle. The originality of the car is something to take notice of on this beauty. Looking throughout the interior, you will see the door paneling, dash, gauges, seats, and even headliner remain in great condition. This car would be great in anyone's garage and is worth seeing in person. To see all the HD pictures and video please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1112/1971-jaguar-xke. Rarely does an automobile come along as beautiful as the 1969 Jaguar E Type. So beautiful, in fact, that in 1961 when the car was first introduced, Enzo Ferrari exclaimed “it’s the most beautiful car ever made”. Gateway Classic Cars is very pleased to offer this 1969 Jaguar E Type for sale in it’s Indianapolis showroom. The E Type’s original 150 mph top speed, sub-7 second 0-60 mph acceleration, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension distinguished the car so much that it spurred industry-wide changes. Based on Jaguar’s D-Type racing car, which had won the 24 Hours of Lemans three consecutive years beginning in 1955. This Jaguar has been in the care of it’s current owner for the past 14 years, having only two other owners prior to 2004. Recent work includes; new alternator, radiator, tires, clutch, brake system, oil pan and valve cover gaskets. In addition, the car was repainted in 2017 at a cost exceeding $12,000. Equipped with the still functioning original am/fm radio, wire wheels, and a wooden steering wheel that is free of cracks and blemishes. Reclining navy-blue leather bucket seats, seat belts, remote hood, and trunk releases, and an owner’s manual are just a few more of the Jag’s features. The strong running 4.2L I-6 has turned a little over 80,000 miles, and fires right to life with the turn of the key. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, and benefits from a recently installed new clutch. Be sure to visit our website at www.gatewayclassiccars.com to view over 100 HD pictures, as well as a short video of this beautiful Jag in action. Better yet, stop by our Indianapolis showroom and see this amazing car in person. We’re located at 4400 W. 96th Street, Indianapolis, In 46268. Contact Brad or Nick directly at 317-668-1100.
